Taking it easy today as we got some big makeovers in the works that I actually do need access to my cleaning closet for. It's truly insane what a little shift of the space can do for your storage options! Giveaway winners were announced last week - if I don't hear from them all, I'll be sure to pick new ones. Mural artists, draw directly onto the wall with pencil 1st. Just so you know for next time. 😉 For perfect circles trace things like, dinner plates, platters & whatever other shapes you want. You're still going to need practice though. 😊
It always amazes me how consistently you upload quality content - like despite being a one-woman show, despite having so much other shit going on in your life, you manage your channel sooooo well. Great idea for adding any shape! Tip for a circle/ no projector: tie a pencil to a string, tack the other end to the center of your desired circle, and swing the pencil around the center, drawing a circle. Cheap homemade compass!

Hanane ALi this is her friend, Holly’s home - who she lives with now. From what I’ve gathered (have only been following her since late 2019), she was in a long term relationship and he had a daughter. So her old videos are her and and his home. She and him broke up during quarantine (~March) so now she’s been helping makeover her friend, Holly’s home.

Something I learned from mr Kate (which...when is THAT collab happening...could you imagine??😍) when doing stripes or separate colors on a wall is to paint the area with tape with the same paint as the rest of the wall first, then go over it with the new paint once it dries! Makes the line super sharp and clean. Changed my life for real.
So you inspired me to tackle my closet and built in on my one wall... it was old wood the house is like 150 years old and unmatched wood and smoke damaged... so i painted it the satin white that is the doors and trip and looks amazing and have 2 more spots to paint but its turning out amazing so far... thank you for always inspiring and giving me ideas.
Love your channel!! Your methods inspired me to start my kitchen one little bit at a time. Huge gratitude. To draw a circle: tie a piece of string to a pencil on one end and a nail on the other. String in between should measure the radius of the circle. Hold string taut while drawing the circle. Then paint. Voila, circle. 😊

Aww the circle on the left... 🔵 Your face was priceless, like "what..." 😂 I wish I had a cleaning closet, but they don't come as standard in UK houses. It has always driven me nuts not to have somewhere to store my vacuum and broom, etc. They live behind my kitchen door and it is far from ideal. I'm very envious! 😁 xx

Next time, when you wanna paint a shape into a corner or space, create a template out of cartboard and outline it onto the wall. As you can shape the cartboard it will enable you to paint nice shapes easy and cheap. 😄

Quick tip make sure to remove the painters tap while the paint is still wet and the lines will be a lot cleaner!

Hey! Maybe drawing and cutting the circle on paper and using it as a guide would've help? Since it is a difficult place to draw directly. And a smaller brush for the outer part for more control?

To paint the circle: put a small nail or tape in the center of the circle and tie a string (with the desired diameter) to the center with a pencil on the other end. it will draw the perfect circle. it's what i use in the garden (in a bigger scale) 👍

I could so do with one of my coubords turned into a cleaning coubord. I've baught a smart wall organiser think that grips the brushes mops ect and I have a Dyson bracket I was gonna put them up in an involve area at side of my fridge..lol my cleaning caddy is ontop of my dogs cage haha.. I have a cupboard just full of boxes for if I ever move.lmao..🤣🤣🤷♀️🤦♀️

I didn’t notice in your last 3 videos. Makes me think I need to go back and watch your videos again. I am so bummed my dad didn’t share his knowledge on DIY. Unfortunately, I’m older and at that time women were still barefoot and pregnant.
In the future, you could use a piece of string with one end tied to a thumbtack and the other end tied to a pencil to sketch out a circular shape.
