Makeovers don’t always go according to plan and they (nine times out of ten) happen to the rooms you are loving most. I was so pumped for my parents’ garage but with the amount of speed bumps along the way…I couldn’t edit it out, I had to share and keep it real with you all. Sometimes makeovers are way more work than you initially thought but I promise you it is SO worth it. Not only do my parents’ now have a fully functional garage after 10 plus years AND my dad has his first official workshop but the new LiftMaster Secure View Garage Door Opener with built-in camera we had newly installed is providing an extra sense of security that everything in the garage is protected! Thank you LiftMaster for inspiring me to do this makeover for my parentals - my dad told me he will now go in and sit in it in the morning with a cup of coffee to just look at it. THAT is why I do what I do xx.

APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE! Ok so clearly this was filmed prior to my break up and I’m sorry this took a bit to get out but hey out of my control sometimes. The actual video kicks up at 3:01 but I had to explain what the hot mess of the garage was prior to diving in so you had some context/what to expect. I also know this is not how my videos typically go but I wanted to showcase the reality of that too since it IS NOT ALWAYS PICTURE PERFECT! Thank you LiftMaster for helping my parents out xx. One little suggestion... with car in perfect park position, hang a tennis ball on a string from ceiling to touch the windshield. Mom can easily line up & pull in to the same exact spot every time. and i highly doubt most people will notice its at a lower resolution since most youtube is consumed on a phone. A small screen and usually beneath 1080 . Yeah you heard most people watch at 720 or 480.
Haha I only watch at 1080 so I had to apologize because I would be a bit annoyed.

You mentioned wanting rolling work bench. You can buy caster wheels and attach them to the bottom of the shelves you already have. I’ve done this in my robot shop with some harbor freight shelves. They’ve lasted for like 5 years so far.

The grainy footage in the white frame actually gave some variety and visual interest. I thought it was still super professional! This is such a great functional makeover. I’m definitely taking tips away from this, mainly hanging everything up so the floor isn’t cluttered.

This was so right on time. I’d just convinced myself this week that I would clean out & paint my garage. I have some extra shelving that I got rid of after converting my second master into a home gym and have convinced myself that I will relocate the said shelving to the garage. Seeing this is a sign that I should move forth with my plans. Thanks again (and more importantly, thanks for keeping it real!).
