As an idv player who just started playing dbd this is so funny. I was just watching vids of an idv pro player playing dbd for the first time as well, so it's fun to compare. Also to explain the photographer's ability, basically, he can open the photo world periodically which you can see when those little projections come up from the cameras. When the photo world collapses, half of the changes made in it will transfer to the real world, meaning any cipher progress made during the time will be halved, as well as half of any damage made on survivors in the photo world will be transferred to their real-world copies. If they are chaired in the photo world, they will be incapacitated when photo world collapses. And unfortunately, you'll have to get used to camping. It's the main strategy in idv as ranking goes off a win-lose system, not points.
Oh wow. Okay. So the photographer can be a pretty op Hunter if you know how to use him it seems. Thank you for the detailed explanation 😁 If only I could get into a survivor match in DBD as fast as in Idv, I'd show more dbd gameplay 😔

The Minds Eye's decoding speed is fast enough to finish an entire cipher before photo world ends, and the doctor and barmaid can heal the weird fractions of damage that photo world and photographer sometimes cause that other survivors cannot heal. The photographer has a 75% damage hit while most hunters have 50%. So for example, if he hits you once in photo world and then leaves you, your health will be below half at collapse and you will be unhealable to most survivors and be a one hit kill, which is where doctor/barmaid are handy. He is a heavy counter to one of the main rescuers mercenary, though, as normally a merc would take 3 hits to go down instantly at full health, while the photographer can down him in two.
Oh! Also I should explain the priestess "calling" thing. When the priestess calls you, you need to immediately go to a wall till the image of a portal appears to except it. This will create a long portal that you can go through to wherever the priestess placed the other side of the portal. The priestess can do two types of calls, a portal call to all players, or one to a specific player, which is when you'll get a "calling you" message like that.
as a regular idv player watching this is so goddamn funny. Nothing against you, just reminds me a lot of when I first started playing. Just keep at it and you’ll get there!
@@DexterDerpia you did fairly decently for a new player, but I'd definitely recommend reading into the character's abilities and how they affect other survivors if you decide to keep playing. Kiting ( wasting the hunter's time, or looping as dbd players know) is very integral with a good persona build. Borrowed time ( the adrenaline you mentioned in another episode, in which enchantress healed once the last generator was popped ) is NECESSARY for survivors, and detention, a trait that allows the hunter to down survivors in one hit after the exit gate has been activated ( you can tell if a hunter has detention if they have glowing red eyes) is necessary for almost every hunter. Sorry for the long info dump, but you're doing great so far!

Let me tell you about survivor tier list, so basically the characters that have dbd items like the Map (Lawyer), Flashlight (Thief), Toolbox (Gardener), and with exception of Medkit/Self-Heal (Doctor) are basically bottom tier, except gardener can only sabotage chairs and decrease the rocket chairs take off speed by 10%. The top tier survivors are the ones with stun, endurance like effect (Mercenary) when he takes a hit, the ones that can decode/repair two cipher machines/generators at once, or the ones that can teleport (priestess)
This guy is really going against bots. He probably didn't know that the first few rounds are bot players. Also its not crossplay its pc vs pc. mobile players don't go against pc players
You are correct. When I first played the game I wasn't really sure tbh 😂. But soon after I thought to myself "Okay, there's no way this is a real person" Although with Cross-play, I did manage to play some matches with a friend who was on their cell phone. Perhaps this is the only way to cross play 🤔🤔
Pc and mobile can play against each other if there is someone from one of the other devices on the team!! Otherwise you just play against those on your device *^* Rip pc wait time tho man,,,,,,, 30 minutes for a qm once

@@agathahelena9386 In idv, cipher rush is very very very important, decoding together just finish ciphers faster. If u were decoding with one person, you would have maybe one 70-80 percent done cipher, and in the same amount of time if decoding seperate ciphers, you can have 2 50% ciphers. They will get done at the same time so in real match assuming people live ling enough, you can have 3 ciphers pop same time instead of slowly finishing them off one by one.

By the way, most players main Survivor faction, because playing as Hunter in mid-high tiers of rank matches is often a torture. P.S. -For a long time Gamekeeper was my main, but later I switched to the Violinist. Both hunters are good, by Gamekeeper is pretty situational.
After playing DBD Mobile and trying out this game I feel like I was censored by so much and the hits just don’t feel as satisfying. Not to say that the game is bad but I feel like I’m playing an education version of DBD.

Im dying over the survivors while we was a hunter and how he was so confused about Joseph's camera world like dude im pretty sure they where bots which would also explain why they all had og skins while joseph had a different skin bots when your a bee are weird good job for a first try
this has probably been explained, but half of what happens in photo world applies to the real world when it ends. that includes damage. you got hit in photo world, dealing .75 damage (he's special for dealing that much at once) and giving you half of it. since his his it .75 damage, when the photo world ended you were one hit

Hunters in this game are notorious campers. Apparently it’s acceptable in this community. I play hunter and don’t camp and still get 4ks back to back. Since they expect a camping hunter it throws them off every time lol Edit: also DBD devs helped make this game fyi

Joseph deals 1.5X extra damage, so the Doctor would have to heal 3 times, and healing as any other character would not help because you would get one shot no matter what, unless you are able to use a syringe.
Eventually because your account is just registered so the gameplay is really simple and easy (since you're playing with bots that are programmed to play with lower ranks and newbies). But actually it gets really difficult, especially with the character you're playing in higher rank with a more various range of ways of playing. Anyway it is much different from DBD

He should made a video after he played about 50 matches and got some real players that actually know how to play. You’ll get real players after abt 5-10 matches but better players will eventually come in.

The only 2 things I don't like about the game is that there survivors and hunters are exPENSIVE as hell and your don't get enough puzzle pieces to make it worth it. And that the people playing hunter ALWAYS FACE CAMP!!!!! The ones I'm against always

I was I idv player but then I played dbd All I can say is idv is very creative but most of it (to me at least) feels easy Hunter or survivor Dbd haven't fully experienced it but I do enjoy it more than idv Mainly because I know I can't get fully teamed on by many characters with stuns (Can that happen in dbd?)

Tip: When someone is in the middle of saving/healing someone hit them and it will be a terror shock and they will be downed immediately

😂I don't think u realized yall where one shots photographer does 2.5 damage instead of 50 if he doesn't down u or unless your healed by doc your a one shot whole game but mechanics get way more annoying higher up especially manticore and up but if you continue playing i recommend sculptor,bon bon dream witch and maybe ripper but we just got a new hunter he's a stretch but his mechanic is literally all dbd mechanic he can't chair survivors he let's them bleed I think you would be good at hik considering u play dbd more 🤷♂️
