DBD tries to balance enjoyment and fun, trying to eliminate not that fun strategies like camping. Trying to make every game different and not repetitive with the perk system and randomized maps. IDV balances around well, being competitive and ranking, trying to go for that e-sports balance but sacrificing the more fun aspects of the game that could make it less repetitive to play at times. It's entirely up to you what you prefer to play, trying to have creative random games or trying to be competitive and reach the top of leadboard. With that all said both sides can very much be competitive and have tournaments, dbd needs to add additional rules in the process like limiting the perk selection, map, addons, etc. They could add them as custom games features cause I don't think the dbd community would like these changes for the main game. But again entirely up to preference

I hope for the same thing. While they probably wouldn't add a full on character (although characters like Axe Boy or Mad Eyes would fit nicely I think) some skins for similar characters would be cool. Another thing to focus on is the factor of priming in both games. Idv, you prime a cipher to pop it if someone has borrowed time. However, there is no rush aspect. You can play for minutes after everyone else died or escaped and you can wait out someone kiting for the pop. As to where Dbd has the timer so priming the gate is very important. Priming a gate in idv is a bad strat but in dbd, it can be the difference between people making it out or dying. Also, in idv, there are hunter traits such as blink or excitement or so on but dbd mainly focuses on the perks and normal killer abilities. Idv, you get the perk, hunter ability, and personas. Although both games are akin to one another, there's alot of differences between them. Also, both game has their own dungeon feature. Identity V will always have the dungeon open when everyone else is dead and, to counter camping, the dungeon will respawn after some time. Dead by daylight makes a strong gamble in closing the dungeon as it will instantly queue the gates and countdown, alongside survivors being able to use a key to open the dungeon. I like the stark differences both have in their own ways. Also though, in idv, I find it alot more random on if people will do great or throw (but I play on Na/Eu so that's a given). I find people in dbd tend to do better at playing to a certain extent.
But that's just my own opinion.

i played both but i personally like IDV when it comes to ranking system and competitive plays, and DBD when it comes to casual plays. you see, DBD isn't really balanced when it comes to matchmaking, perks, and add-ons that's why they stopped making the game enter on the competitive side after their first-ever official tournament where every game were Nurses and 4 Claudettes all running the same perks.. tho the game both has the same style when playing as killers, DBD survivors are just skins when you have all their transferable perks.. what makes DBD more enjoyable for me is that you can be creative and choose your own builds which makes the game more interesting since you have to take note what certain perks the killer uses when playing as survivor. and what each survivor perks are when playing as a killer- making the game more intuitive and fun as well.. another thing is that when you play as a killer in IDV, you can do any strategy to win and survivors wont blame you for it (camping and tunneling) while in DBD, survivors will bombard you with BS on post matches for camping and tunneling at 5 gens (ciphers in IDV)..
BTW you can still camp in DBD, the new anti-camping update on DBD only works on face-camping and not camping entirely..

I then body blocked for the person I saved as we made our way back over to the rollercoaster so that we could get taken halfway across the map and away from the hunter. Unluckily I was hit out of the rollercoaster by the hunter just as it left but it makes the map unique and helpful if its used right. Especially when one person gets downed on the other side of them map and I need a faster way to get there as the map is huge and no one's nearby. What does confuse me is the carosuel though... its pretty useless.
The tram is good for luck. Like when you're being carried to the chair, if the hunter isn't careful and gets hit by the tram they drop the surv and the surv has another chance to kite. If the surv is running from the hunter and gets hit by the tram, they'll be stunned which makes it quicker for the hunter to down them. Its also good for getways and transitions too, it legit saved me from getting put in my last chair one time when it just so happened to stop by me as I was running for my life.

@@elytorres3051 Top DBD comp teams like Eternal and Elysium give a showcase of peak teamwork and dealing with end game scenarios, I recommend you try watching DBD league. It’s really on a different level than IDV comp.
Well DBD is a different type of memorisation, as you have different types of tiles, killer and survivors also know what perk builds to expect from the opposite side.
Looping in IDV is way way easier as you can basically memorise all maps, then knee jerk reflex can trigger once every 25s I think, while in DBD your exhaustion perk like Lithe is realistically only used once per chase so you need to do it in the right time.
I’ve played IDV for three weeks now and I’ve almost escaped mammoth in solo rank. DBD i played for around 4 years now and I’m top rank.

Im Sorry but i disagree first of all idv Its just too confusing in dbd the only thing u Need to do is to Ghet character Upgrade them am etc. in dbd the escaping thing makes more Sense as regenators make light and power up next is the texture and dbd ofc Takes this one just make some differences Next perks in idv there Are Not this much perks as in dbd the perks Are more that reprezents their character and give them special abilites but idk cause i play idv less and idv copied adrelania the meg Perk that After all Generators Are Open it Gives them a boost and a Health state now i wana Talk about the thing that makes more sense Like when the killer gets u and puts u in a hook it Shows an Animation Like in the second stage and when they reach 3 stage it k!!ls them whit the Spider legs and they dont fly in the air and the last is character Witch i agree idv Takes this one bc it has more creativiti and dbd wins and idv Its just a copy and paste

League of legends has the flash summoner spell as a meta choice for all his lifetime to the point that the game itself is built around the flash.
Its something that just happens, nobody is stopping you from changing it tho
