      My standard schtick...
      I used to work at the Copella Juice Factory in Boxford, Suffolk.
      About 80 - 90 % of my food intake was apples.
      I can tell you that I had *the* most amazing energy and concentration that I have ever had in my life (the closest I've ever come to NZT-48).
      There were a couple of downsides but... given the benefits, I should really consider going back to it.
      That "Freelea the Banana Girl" comes in for a lot of flak, but she's right about a few things... genuinely. ☺️

      What about Kale and avocados and Eggs and other stuff like them

    • @endive4
      @endive4 Год назад +1

      @@tailsprowerfan2729 I think leafy greens make a difference. Another one that helps me and a friend is molluscs such as mussels, clams, squid, octopus, or more conveniently cod liver oil. Effect is identical: much greater optimism and drive. This effect is different to what fish oil does.Bown lentils with the skin on are great for me too. particularily punctuality and ability to stay on task. Combine those with pork (but not chicken or lamb) and I have much better mood the next day. Its bit and bobs of different things. I guess it's hightly personal depending on how your body and brain are put together. Eggs and avocadoes, havn't noticed anything special thought I don't eat avocadoes too often so hard to say. The other stuff mentioned has a really striking impact. I am also now supplementing with b6, zinca nd Magnesium in additition to the fish oil as per Dr Bill Walsh. Similar effects to the foods I spoke about but more convenient. Eating sausages and lentils everyday and a portion of squid and salmon expensive, boring and hard to sustain in the long run.

    I did the paleo diet for a few months (prior to finding out I have ADHD). Looking back on it after watching this video, I was heavily consuming things like nuts, berries, fish, and avacados. I also found it to be super similar to Keto (aside from being able to have a decent amount of natural carbs like those found in berries). But yes, looking back on that now - I remember feeling like I had a lot more energy. I lost a lot of weight, and I remember being more productive than usual, and much happier on a more consistent basis. It felt relatively sustainable as well - aside from cravings haha. I may have to give it a go again, now that I know what I'm looking for. Thanks for the awesome videos! Been learning a lot about myself from watching.

    As a functional nutritionist -check the ingredient lables to find nuts not "roasted" in oils.These oils can become rancid in processing and cause more inflammation. (Same with potato chips and MANY other processed foods...) Go for raw nuts if possible or find salted nuts without added oils!

    Sorry it's not relevant, but would you consider making a video on starting/maintaining a youtube channel with ADHD? I made one last year... so far I have 200 ideas in my notebook, 10 scripts written, 4 videos to edit (recorded 6 months ago), and only about 5 videos actually uploaded on my channel from a year ago! It's the classic case of having so many ideas but not being able to start or stay consistent.

But now that I stopped the diet I have all the hardships of ADD back and I’m going to restart the diet so I can focus again

    What is great for our brain and in fact the first ingredient it needs, it’s a Vitamin B1, as well as vitamin D3 & food rich with zink!
    Keep in mind that there is food we may eat that kills these vitamin & minerals inside our bodies. This is something worth of researching.
    In addition, according to medical research, our brains functions benefit from hunger & limiting of snacks during the day. Doctors suggest intermittent fasting or eating one to two times a day!

      Working on two master degrees at once while working full time...but struggling to write my papers/homework on time..ADD does NOT make anyone “dumb”, it’s a disorder. It doesn’t mean anyone is can’t make the grade, or isn’t smart enough, rather it is a brain disorder that makes it hard to focus when it is not engaged enough. And while I wasn’t on honor roll as a kid, I never failed a subject. (Until my first semester in college).

    • @MewithADHD
      @MewithADHD  4 года назад +2

      Try not to drink too much caffeine, it can overstimulate you, I personally do the keto diet so I eat healthy fats and protein, the split is actually 75% fat 15% protein and 10% carbs, I use a tracker app to see where I'm at, although it's more a case of just eating the right food, eating a breakfast, not eating junk food or sugars, and not eating too late, I normally try to stop eating at 8 and go to bed around 11pm. There are tons of videos of keto diet online but like I said just eating healthier :) I suppose orange juice has a lot of sugar in it that's why it's bad, having it late at night could stop you sleeping well
