Who else came here knowing full well how to get the shiny charm but hoping that the requirement changed so that you wouldn’t have to stress over catching all 400 pokemon
I’m currently trying to get the shine charm (rn I’ve caught about 275 Pokémon) and I would say that some stuff that made it less stressful is when you randomly find a Pokémon in the wild while playing through the story, catch it if you don’t have it. It makes it so that there’s less of a grind in the postgame
Once I beat the game, in a day I managed to get to 340/400. With some levelling and a few more trades, it'll be easy. I've never completed a dex before but with some research on certain mons, it's actually not bad. I couldn't imagine getting all 800 though. Sheesh.

After doing some quick calculations I’ve concluded that I should have encountered over 200 shinies in my career. I’ve only encountered 8, 2 of which were guaranteed and one was hacked
Its not that hard dude. The dex is 400 youll be fine. Ultra sun/moon was easy and its regional dex was bigger. Just trade for the version exclusives with your own version exclusives. Hardest part will be getting the legendary or something, maybe get a friend to trade you then trade back just for dex entries.
This is my 2nd time *EVER* to complete the pokedex (1st was in let's go pikachu) so this was big for me. Thanks for the guides on finding all 3 charms! This will help big time!
The Shiny Charm is the reason why they need to stop splitting the dex between versions. Now I need to find somebody online who's willing to trade me their Zamazenta in order for me to complete the dex!
Nothing impressive, you can just become level 100 as soon as raid battles are playable, so basically by the third gym, I'm pretty sure almost my entire party is level 100, nintendo abandoned their old audience and tried getting a new one by making gen 8 the easiest game ever.
Corviknight with hone claws and power trip makes very short work of his team. I just opened with corviknight and used hone claws a few times and one shot everything he had.
I spent a week tracking down a bunch of pokmeon for a shiny charm only to realize that apparently seeing the pokemon doesn't count. I hadn't been catching anything because i didn't know i had to actually own it, so that's....super fun.
I had no idea there were two other charms you could get. I only came here looking for the location of the shiny charm for my Shield save. Thanks so much. When I get into my Sword save I am heading to the hotel to get the catch charm right away,
In my experience the catch charm actually decreases my chances of crit catches as I got way more of them before I picked it up then I got it and then I've only had it happen once after that.
I have always, personally, thought that completing the pokedex should never require the player to catch ANY Legendary. They are Legendary Pokemon, most people in the game universe aren't even sure that they really exist, and frankly it just doesn't make sense that it would be required to catch a creature that isn't even officially known to exist to complete the dex. Case and point, both Zamazenta and Zacian were almost completely erased from Galars history, so why should they be required to complete the dex? Its not like it would be impossible to do, just treat them like any Mythical. Ideally, for me, catching the Legends would be marked as a completely separate achievement, bring back the lower catch rates, and have us visit the director every time we catch a new Legend for some sort of cool but minor reward, say a handle full of Rare Candies, a Gold Bottle Cap, or maybe just a straight up lump sum of cash, or even better, new outfits themed after that legendary. "Oh? W-whats this?! That Pokemon...could it possibly be *INSERT LEGENDARY POKEMON HERE*?! Wow, that's quite the achievement, what an amazing discovery! Did you know, *INSERT SOME TRIVIA OF SAID POKEMON*, pretty interesting isn't it? Here let me add this to your Pokedex for you! Well done on such a fantastic discovery Trainer, I hope you will continue to uncover more new and undiscovered Pokemon in your travels!" Idk, just a new system to make catching Legends feel more rewarding and less of a mandatory chore if we are just trying to get the Shiny Charm.
Ok guys, I don't want to do spoilers but... The main story, after the 8th gym is amazing, also the start, probably only beaten by Black and Black 2. Really fantastic. Try this games

Unrelated to the video but I wanna ask what people's biggest surprise pokemon is so far.. aka something you hated or disliked but is now your favorite of the generation for whatever reason. For me, its Alcremie.
I love Grimmsnarl, Galar Corsola, Cursola and Hatterene, they are all so cool imo. I also like the fact that gyms returned and the character personalization... I hate that they added so few Pokemon and their designs are overally bad, starter's finals are boring af, I also hate that they put so little effort in the game, after watching how much they improved Mario and Zelda franchises with BOTW and Odyssey I was expecting the same for Pokemon... But no, it looks like a 3ds game.

Only thing I agree on there is moving from 3DS to a new look, I mean battles should be Battle Revelations style already. I also rather like alot of the designs.. i mean can't complain when gen 1 had a ball, some slime, a magnet and some rocks. Unfortunately it all depends on the next two years and if we get either Ultra Shield and Sword or Sh/Sw 2. If they pull a black and white 2 on us.. could be something great.
@@scarletvrgames568 There isn't that much effort and even if there is they should have delayed it to improve many aspects starting with more new Pokemon (more than 3 legendaries without taking into account the especial event ones) so that the game feels like a completely new one, like happened with the fifth generation, and a decent postgame + longer gaming experience and higher difficulty or at least possibilities to adjust it. It's really underwhelming taking into account how cool Breath of the Wild is for example, a huge world that you can freely explore, it hasn't lost the Zelda game essence but it feels like something new and incredible, you could spend hours exploring. Why didn't they try that? Instead of having very similar graphical textures (have you seen the water, the trees, the grass, the buggy Pokemon and characters, the awkward animations like the legendary's moonwalking...?). Then you have the history which is bland and incredibly unoriginal, like how they make this amazing plots in the mystery dungeon games (with unexpected twists and villains, complicated storylines...) and then do this in the main ones? I have never been surprised in any of this games, knew who was the evil guy in all of them after seeing them once. "The evil business man/woman who wants to use the legendary's power". Overused af.
I was hatching drillbur eggs yesterday without the oval charm and with my flame body lament in the front of my party I was hatching eggs faster than the daycare lady was giving them to me. I spent more time waiting for eggs than actually hatching them.
Its just 400 Pokemon. The legendary dogs might prove to be a bit tricky, but you're bound to have all of them sooner or later with enough online Max Raids and trades.

Surprise trade helps a lot with this. The only pokemon I'm worried about having trouble getting is the sword doggo (I play shield version).
@@GiantButterKnife You can do pokedex trading with people. You trade them the shield, they trade you the sword doggo, then trade back so you have the entries.
