Theres a difference between Gigantamax and Dynamax Pokemon. Pokemon like regular meowth, Pikachu, and Eevee go into gigantamax forms, meaning their moves, size and appearance are changing. Dynamax is when a pokemon’s size and moves change to Max form, but its appearance doesn’t change. These would be pokemon like Galarian Meowth, The starter pokemon, and any other pokemon that’s appearance does not change when maxing. I don’t know if this was said in the video (haven’t watched yet but saw a lot of people confusing Gigantamax and Dynamax in the comments) and just wanted to let everyone know that those two are different terms ✌️

I saw a fan theory that since Alolan people typically use Z-Moves more than Mega Evo, they don't know how Mega evos properly work, which requires an extremely close bond between trainer and pokemon. So they end up "forcing" a mega evo this leading to the suffering. But I also think GameFreak just wanted to phase out megas and made those dex entries to guilt us
