That ambush battle you skipped was not fielding TA transports, your fleet was TB Torpedo Boats
VC for the Captain of the Brisk for engaging the enemy more closely. Actually it would be nice if you had named officers and the ability to give them decorations.
That would be an amazing addition
Am i the only one that noticed he had a ship called king george V in 1890. Im fairly sure old Victoria would have had something to say about that.
Yes that’s a little off 😂
@@BrotherMunro Rename to Empress of India. I'll be digging out my Conways 1860-1905 for this.
Oh this is going to be glorious. Got a bit burnt out on the scenarios but I'm super excited for this. Off to a good start!
I must say, that first battle went so much better then I thought starting out. Going up against 3 arguably superior CLs to yours accompanied by a CA and only taking light damage? Well done.
Saw this video in my feed, went to play the campaign myself, just about had an aneurysm trying to figure it out, so howdy, I'm here to watch and learn.
12:33 I love how Monroe is giving the light cruiser such shit at the beginning then they turn out to be the best design sinking far more enemy transports AND warships then the rest of the classes.
The research priorities has some drawbacks. It seems to reduce the time for the selected tech by 50% but increases every other tech by 50%, and having multiple prioritizes reduces the bonus of priorities so only going for one to rush tech or having none for some balanced development seem to be the smart choice
Interesting!
1:15 scared the shit out of me. I was not expecting that lol
I absolutely loved this. The continuity of the ships beyond battle gave me so much more investment in the battle.
That was so epic! Especially the close range torpedoes XD
Munro, you literally forget constantly there’s a little thing called “SLOWING THE HELL DOWN” in order to increase your accuracy right?…
It’s 1890 they’re going at a brisk walk at most 😂
They were charging into battle at the same speed most cargo ships are cruising at today, and their cruising speed outside of battle was at 7-9 knots or so
I think I might have told you this on the live-ish stream but hope you get feeling better soon.
Your ships come close enough for small arms fire
Behold the first warship made for the Royal Coast Guard ( this just give me a Coast Guard cutter vibe all of the 4 inch guns would be perfect for anti piracy duty
Pretty much! Im hoping they’ll be decent chasing down transports and torpedo boats.
Is there a live stream today
The campaign is here? (Or this version of it Anyways.) AWESOME!
Could u get a hanky. Your bodies trying to throw that sht out. Take care. Bean watching awhile. Always keep it suddzy.
Ummm... that auto-resolve at the end. You didn't have TR's you had TB's ambush their BB. You coulda sunk it if you played out the mission.
Yeah chat pointed that out after I hit the button 😂
Lets go i cant wait to get this when it releases on steam tough id probably only be trying tl recreate the Finnish Väinämöinen class coastal defence ship as best that i can probably as a british ship because the guns were Bofors
The clicking was ekzilorint. Yes
It's here! It's Here!!!! HYPE!!!!
Do you see torpedo boats?
Enterprise was a Sloop.
The 1743, 1848 and 1864 ships were sloops - I was thinking of the 1774 ship which was a sixth rate frigate. There was also an HMS Enterprise active in the era UAD covers - appropriately enough she was a light cruiser.
I mean, a better use for a gunnery officer of this level would be to shoot out with a pistol rather than directing the fire of a turet
You should have totally taken those TB against the BB - could have easily sunk it if Stealth's play is anything to go by
I think it would be interesting if you didn’t get all the info on enemy ships once identified..Maybe get a few details like guns…This would model intelligence and after a while in campaign you’d learn more info. You should t really be able to know every system from a ship from a glance..Well unless it is modeled that you already have that intel.
Good idea!
I ended up with much faster ships, Germany sure liked its speed. And I didn't use TBs, saved a little that I put towards everthing else. ATM, it is 1891, and I have more ships than I can crew... oops?
Looking forward to episode 2 (I assume it'll be available on youtube? I do *not* use Twitch, ever.)
Yes the whole campaign will be on RUclips :)
Dstr recon?
Munro; please don't take offence, this is intended to be helpful, your narration sounds more like someone just mumbling to himself instead of you addressing your audience; if you don't believe me, just listen carefully to the first 5 minutes. I had to turn up the audio to 90% just to make out what you were trying to say.
This may well be due to the microphone position settings, I will check :)
DAMMIT, you completely lost out on sinking that BB, you should try to read the battles, it was an ambush, and TBs are More powerful than you'd think, especially since this era's guns can't hit the broadside of a barn, such a perfect chance, with 5 TBs, at close range with a BB, such a waste man, such a waste...
I misread TB as TR (I rarely play battles this early) - complete mistake!
@@BrotherMunro not just reading the classes, but also the battle description, it can give you a tactical heads up on what you should expect, such as the enemy being very close to you, or sometimes even having a CL rampage through a convoy for a set time before the enemy Warships actually arrive because it was actually without escort, the description can give you a heads up and make a very big difference on your style of play :)
Replay battle of jutlind.
First
this era is the worst era of building ships in in ua dreadnought if you ask me and dont know why we are getting french ships in next update a nation we cant play yet in campaign also i think they should add the nelson class pre dreadnought
Well you do have to remember that the technology for steam warships was essentially only 30 years old at that point.
