I usually have nothing good to say on these videos, or about the changes we're forced to endure, but when going through my comments this morning on desktop, I saw that the format has changed. I actually like it. It seems easier to read and looks better. It's one rare time I agree with a so-called "improvement". So I'll give credit where it's due. Looks good. ✔✔ I hate "handles". Our "public identity across RUclips" should be our channel name. Especially since RUclips alternates which it displays in various places throughout the site. Just keep it simple (and logical) use the channel name just like you did for the past two decades. And also, I'm seriously asking for some help with making comments on my phone. I still can't do so, and I have found no help anywhere. I've mentioned it on almost every video here for months.
Feature request: Instead of displaying the products (or product collections) from our store under a video, I would love it if we could instead choose to feature playlists or videos that are relevant to a video someone is watching. For example, creators who mention relevant videos currently have to put them in the description, but it would be nice to have the thumbnail/title for relevant videos or playlists. It's nice having the store integrated into RUclips, but I personally would rather share more content than merch, so the option to choose one or the other would be great.
You can already do that using cards. They now display cards below the description with a thumbnail or relevant artwork. End screens are there and should be used as well.
The main thing I'd like to see with the affiliate shopping feature is being able to select products rather than a product at a specific store. Often when I look at videos I've added products to with that feature a portion of what I added is no longer available, so it ends up being a waste of time eventually. For example I'd much rather add a "Nikon Z6 iii" camera and let the system pick active sellers rather than selecting a bunch and eventually end up with nothing to offer viewers as the system changes internally or affiliate shops cycle out. Especially true for older products that can be bought but are more rare.
Loving thumbnail test and compare! Any plans to give it its own tab or analytics features? Despite the little "thumbnail test done" notification under a video's name in Studio, I'm finding it hard to keep track of all my tests and go back to check results, especially since I'm running them on older videos in addition to new ones. I had to create a separate Google Doc with links to keep track of them all. It would be great to have them all in one places (with search/filters such as start and end date, result type, etc). RUclips is coming after TikTok Shop. I like that. The ACTUAL Username in diff language is kind of odd because most people cannot type on these various language to find the username, that's why i still think that username should be in english, since it can be used as "phonetic english" for other countries. The Name of the channel could be in diff language.
Some venders have many items listed as 0% commission. Even if you link to an item with a commission and they buyer decide to purchase something else form the same vender it could be a 0% commission item. If this is not a violation of RUclips agreement with these venders it should be. I Don't have this problem using Amazon affiliate links in my description.
What is 3rd party content violation? This seems fairly new addition to the Spam, Deceptive Practices and Scams policy. The notes on it are the vaguest I've seen: "3rd party content: Live streams that include unauthorized 3rd party content that are not corrected after repeated warnings of possible abuse. Channel owners should actively monitor their live streams and correct any potential issues in a timely manner." What exactly is this and can you please provide an example?
that handle update was the dumbest thing i’ve ever seen.. it was QA tested for 6+ months internally and yet you guys didn’t block.. a certain german symbol and a load of lookalike characters.
Day 35 Please fix the re-used content policies de-monetizing the entire channel and de-monetizing one video both are different things at least give them a warning so the creator can delete the re-used content video. it's good for both sides. Channels based on 100% reused content 1) xqc clips (300k subs) 2) justapexthings (200k subs) 3) CDL clips (120k Subs) 4) Daily Fortnite central (600K subs) And many more Your team told Masteroogway which video is violating the reused content policy but you can't tell the same things to small creators (Now he is banned from RUclips). Gaming Gaming channels are just coping pasting clips from Twitch and making more money than RUclips dev just imagine copying the clip from Twitch and uploading it on RUclips I have reported 64 channels manually because on those gaming channels, there was no voice-over or special editing in a single video but even after 6 months, not a single channel got demonetized by RUclips. but when I do that thing my channel gets instantly monetized I also added my own voice-over in the videos you're playing with people live Your reused algorithm is not working after reporting 100+ reused content channels you did nothing about that so look into that before directly demonetizing the channels. Thank you for launching that policy training. I've been starting at that warning for several months now. I will say it's still REALLY confusing as to why some live streams get completely stopped and interrupted by a random song playing in the background in a public place when most of the time, these songs are just flagged normally by the Content ID system.
This will make it even more difficult to reply to comments if you haven't got those letters on your keyboard and then there is comment search? You still can't search for specific handles which is a nightmare.
I see a huge security risk with allowing multi byte characters in handles. It allows imposter to create handles that look similar to huge channels, but aren't the real deal

Can whoever is in charge of UI design knock it off with their weird crusade against color and 90 degree angles? The lack of any kind of accenting in Studio makes it difficult to parse what I'm doing. And the rounded corners on literally everything is just obnoxious. The video player especially. Why would anyone think it's a good idea to shave off part of the image like that?

In summary, I want to know if the platform is capable of recognizing and suggesting my content to users of different languages, based on the tags and keywords, regardless of the main language of the video title, and taking into account that I offer audios in multiple languages.
Hi Charly, I would say the platform is capable because my community is Worldwide and I haven’t added different audio languages because most of my videos are song Edits, though the interviews, etc have Auto Closed Captions which I didn’t add myself. My main audience is Brazil, United States & Russia though comments have recently increased in Spanish & Italian as well. All my titles, tags and keywords are in English because I’m British and all my content is in English though I sometimes add my own captions in Norwegian or German where needed, esp. on Shorts. How about blocking channels who put the titles in English or another language and speak in a totally differnt language. I would refer to this as language baiting users. Nothing irks me more than clicking on a video written in my laguage title and it be in a language I do not speak at all. This is all about them getting the clicks... 😡
