Hi, I tried to change the spring and the joystick fell off. Could you please show us how to put the stick and all the parts back together? I need info for the extra step at 10:13. Thanks
Konstantinos Giagkos Here’s a step by step walkthrough on that 👍🏼 You'll want to get a towel and place it on the surface of where you'll be doing this. 1) Your gonna want to unscrew the Stick Housing itself. 2) Carefully turn it over (Be Mindful of the Wire connected to the Stick Housing). As your lifting it up, you'll see the rods Pivot Cup, and Pivot Dust Cover. 3) Place the Pivot Cup back into its place (Rounded Side inside, Flat Side Showing), and then the Dust Cover right over it. Note: this next part is we're it can get a lil tricky, but just take your time and you'll be fine no problem! 4) While holding the Stick housing, place your middle finger on the Dust Cap to hold it in place and you thumb on the restrictor plate. Grab your Balltop/Rod and hold the rod in place back through the top of the Fight Stick Body, Now, carefully turn the Stick Housing back over and guide the Rod into the Dust Cover and Pivot Cup and push it all the way through. (Note: If you fell the Rod getting stuck after the Pivot Cup, just wiggle it through gently.) 5) Now that you have the Rod in, keep hold of the Rod and easily place the fight stick on top of the towel to help hold the Rod in place with the weight of the Fight Stick Body. While holding the Rod centered of the housing, place your Spring back in, then your Actuator. 6) While still keeping the Rod centered, push down on your Actuator to make the bottom of the Rod accessible. Now that you have it pushed down, you can remove your hand from the ball top and use that hand to grab you Clip. 7) While still Holding and Pushing the Actuator down, place the Clip into its slot and once you get it to its stopping point hold it in place While Easily and Carefully releasing pressure off the Actuator to where the pressure of the Actuator is now holding the clip in place. 8) Grab your needle nose plier and pop the Clip back in as shown in the video. Thank you for watching the Video, and thank you for hitting me up about this! I truly hope this was helpful for you!?
Konstantinos Giagkos Oh awesome!! Yea my apologies for not having a video for it yet! I’ve had others ask as well in the past and I’ve been meaning to make one. This would be the third time I’ve been asked so I think I’ll need to do one!? Lol Thanks again for watching!
Yes it would be great if you could do a video tutorial about that. I also want to mention that I did not unscrew the Stick Housing, but I managed to put it back together. Maybe #1 is not necessary? Thanks
Oh ok cool! Yea you’re pivot cup didn’t fall out too then.. that’s good! Lol It’s if your pivot cup falls out too, then you’d need to lift up the housing to put it back in.
lmao i feel your pain regarding that C clamp, sometimes it pops off and it takes me like 15 min of crawling on my floor on my knees to find where da hell it flew off to. BTW is that red button the "dark red" button from sanwa? it looks really cool almost like deep candy apple red. Ehhh regarding hayabusa sticks...i personally was never a fan of it, especially even with the kowal octo gate, that gate is really odd, ive been a life long octo gate user on sanwa, so when i tried out that octo gate, i started missing the diagonals occasionally, i dont know if im just too used to the sanwa octo gate shape but not a fan of the kowal octo gate shape. For some reason, i kept messing up the DF motion with characters that have the full crouch inputs like Anna in Tag2, and Jaycee, etc haven't tried this stick in T7 though, but that was my experience with the hayabusas.
Bludika Lol yea that clip is the devil! Lol I've been meaning to get the Sanwa Stick with the Octo gate to see how that differs from the Hyabusa and kowal? And do an in depth review between the two. And yea, that's the Dark Red Sanwas 👍🏼
lol yea that clip...ehh personally i find the kowal octo gate feeling a bit too round for me, i like the octo gate in general because you can feel all 8 directions hence ive always used the sanwa JLF with the octogonal gate ever since i started using sticks, BUT when i tried out the hayabusa stick after hearing good things about it, and put in a heavier spring which is what i like and installed the Kowal octo gate bought from focus attack....i tried it out but honestly never liked it, the corners feel way too rounded, almost feels like a circular gate
Yoo the stick fell out at that part you said to be careful on lol. It seemed to slide right back in fortunately, and still has complete range of motion. But now the rod seems too small to fit both actuators and the spring on. It's pretty close, but I can't get the e clip low enough on the rod to clip on, even without the spring. Any idea what could've happened?
Chronic Riot Oh no! That’s weird... and you’re able to push the actuator all the way down (with the spring on) to where it can’t be pushed down any further?
Chronic Riot You might have to take off the stick housing and realign the rod “bushing cup” and dust washed? Here’s a step by step walkthrough on that 👍🏼 You'll want to get a towel and place it on the surface of where you'll be doing this. 1) Your gonna want to unscrew the Stick Housing itself. 2) Carefully turn it over (Be Mindful of the Wire connected to the Stick Housing). Please make this video. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the stick back in properly, and there doesn't seem to be a single video in existence detailing how to do so. This comment is pretty much my last hope.
K.E. Keith, Hey there! So sorry for the late response, we just moved into our new place and I haven't been able to get the time to do a video 😒.. Please see the detailed explanation of how to do this on in the comment above. Just click on "Read More" were I say, "But I can explain it here". However, I do still plan on making a video for this concern, I just don't know when that will be at the moment.
Very informative video. Ive been looking for a video like this for a while now since my button on my hori are starting to stick. My only question is what is the difference of the buttons? Some say OBSC others say OBSF .. some say 24mm others say 30mm and I honestly have no idea what the difference is .. I just want new buttons.
kyosuske Thanks for watching! Glad you like it! The only difference between the C and the F are the C’s are the clear/see through buttons, and the F’s are the originals. Both have the same smooth and quick response with no resistance. That’s what I didn’t like about the hori buttons, well at least the ones that came on mine. Mine was the first gen rap 4 buttons, but the newer ones have a matte/ texture finish and have a shorter throw (which I have yet to try out yet) that some are saying feels really nice.
Sermed Marcel Jaber I’m not too sure on that? Never used one before. So far only the Hayabusa on this one, and the Sanwa JLF on my TE2+.. both are tie (in my opinion) when it comes to feel and responsiveness.
SW21 Sharky I have no idea who that is? But I used my iMovie editor on my iPhone for this, so it’s possibly he/she and others as you’re pointing out are using the same thing and just so happen to be using the same music that is already added to the editor?
If the phillips is stripping the screw that means you're using the wrong size.
no it means the steel is too soft because its a cheap screw
Both are correct. But the screw is not a Phillips it's a Japanese industrial standard "JIS"
Most Hori arcade sticks are easy to modify because the PC boards are not in the way of the buttons.
sounds a little more quiet when it makes contact with the plastic as you move the joystick around

(Note: If you fell the Rod getting stuck after the Pivot Cup, just wiggle it through gently.)
5) Now that you have the Rod in, keep hold of the Rod and easily place the fight stick on top of the towel to help hold the Rod in place with the weight of the Fight Stick Body.
Hopefully this helped you out!?! If not, I will make sure to do a video first thing in the morning! I'll be making the video either way actually, cause I'm sure others might fall into the same issue.
Thank you for watching the Video, and thank you for hitting me up about this! I truly hope this was helpful for you!?
I meant to add that the Hori buttons had resistance and felt like you were pushing on a rubber band
korean crown Lever possible on the hori rap4?
Sermed Marcel Jaber I’m not too sure on that? Never used one before. So far only the Hayabusa on this one, and the Sanwa JLF on my TE2+.. both are tie (in my opinion) when it comes to feel and responsiveness.
Why do so many people steal the vapemymod intro lol
SW21 Sharky I have no idea who that is? But I used my iMovie editor on my iPhone for this, so it’s possibly he/she and others as you’re pointing out are using the same thing and just so happen to be using the same music that is already added to the editor?
sorry suckmymod hahah i guess many use the same software i never used mac or iphone for editing.
you got a nice voice
