- Hello, art friends! It's tough sometimes to get back into the swing of things after a while of not creating. When I feel this way, I like to get more expressive with my technique, try out different brushes, colors, methods, etc. Just play around. See what happens.. no limits.

Also I was curious to see how you wet the painting surface with a spray. Does it make it easier to put a new layer?
Aww thank you so much, I'm happy you like it! Yes I often keep my surface damp, but only slightly. It actually helps me blend layers together! If i want to keep my layers separate, I'll wait for it to dry before I paint the next layer. A word of caution keeping your paper wet, though - using too much water can sometimes cause issues, so you have to be thoughtful about how much water you use. I like the spray bottle because it lets me 'mist' the page gradually.
@@BleesArt Very very nice piece of advice! I am not very advanced in painting and a lot of times when I imagine how relaxing I will paint something I found myself struggling with the paint. I'll try misting it like you do and hope it will help me glide. Thank you very much!

Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it! Yes, yes it is paper! It's some palette paper I found tucked in my old college stuff. I think you can still find it in art stores, though! ☺
