But i have a question! I dont know if u wil see this but im taking a chance. Soo. I have a cat he is turning 1 year old next month. And i havent had him for very long. I am vegan and i live in Norway.. i have to buy him food and there is no vegan options for cats here..and i feel so awful and hypocrotic when i have to buy cat food with meat in it and i dont know what to do. There is some vegan food online for cats but i can afgord that right now and im scared my little Merlin (my cat) would become sick if i swapped his diet'....do u have any advice for me?
Also...i feel like i cant call myself 100% vegan when i buy cat food witch is true..even tho other than the cat food i only buy vegan food and cruelty free makeup, clothes etc..so what to do? I feel a bit hoples in this situation cus i want to be completely vegan but i still have a meat eating cat to feed.

@@GreenSoldierProductions That's not what we want. Killing animals for survival or self-defense is morally ok. Carnivores need to eat other animals to survive, we don't. It's not our job to police the animal kingdom. Just because other animals eat animals doesn't mean we have to. We don't choose to emulate other things that animals do like eat their own young, or pee to claim territory. We don't need to kill animals to be healthy and so causing sentient beings unnecessary suffering is something we should stop doing. We can't control if a lion eats a gazelle nor should we. It's not about perfection or reaching some magical existence where no one ever suffers, that's impossible. It's about reducing the suffering we cause where it's possible and practicable to do so.

Non-human animals are moral patients, while we are moral actors. Another example of a moral patient is an infant. A moral patient is someone who should be considered but cannot be expected to make moral choices. A baby does not understand right from wrong but they should still be considered by us, moral actors. A moral actor is someone who can be held responsible for moral choices. So, because we know better we have the responsibility to do better. We can understand that it's wrong to take someone's life for selfish pleasure, so we can choose not to. If we can choose to not cause harm, why wouldn't we?

Tim Shieff refused medical treatment after starving himself and making himself ill by drinking his own and other people's piss. Several nutritionists and doctors reached out to him to help for free and his arrogance got the better of him. He then used it as an excuse to eat animals.

I'm 14, I went vegan in October and it's the best decision I've ever made. I have more energy and I actually have better blood test results than before despite the stigma. My dad is pescetarian, he says he'll slowly transition to vegan by the end of the year so I'm weaning him off fish right now 😂 showing him how it affects the environment, the People forced to fish, your health and of course the animals. They feel pain like others too

@French blue8 I hope so too, it took me a while to transition him off meat when I went vegetarian 2 years ago. I still didn't know everything of course but he always said that I was such a problem when it came to cooking, I just hope he doesn't change his mind. I showed him the game changers and it definitely opened his eyes so when he's at work and the others workers ask about his diet Which by the way can you believe they say to him "be a man eat meat" So anyway he just tells them to watch the game changers, dominion, conspiracy or what the health :)

@@jewswhoswingssnakes923 It's suitable for all stages of life, there are articles from Oxford university and Cambridge too supporting a plant based diet. It's the healthiest diet on Earth and I'm thriving on it. My blood test results are much better than imagined and I test them every 6 months

That guy had a good heart and you obviously got through to him, Joey, without him even realizing it. You broke that barrier and even though he may not have initially liked your approach, once he ran out of excuses and had no other defense for the animal abuse, his mind was blown. Absolutely - Joey is the brightest light in this dark world. I pray India will go vegan one day - it seems so contrary, that cows are Sacred in India, but suffer a miserable existence being milked constantly, having their babies stolen, raped etc etc . . if India wakes up to these contradictions the rest of the world will catch on too . . after all, most of India is vegetarian already.

And regardless of how human something might seem, it is completely unnecessary to murder animals. Especially now, in 2020. We have a plethora of options available. We do not need to eat them to survive.
We need to leave them in peace.

That’s a satisfying result Joey.
I watched you engage with that guy each time and sure enough he stated that he thought about this information a lot on his own. That’s nothing short of a breakthrough.
This guy will go vegan 🌱 I can see it. He’s putting it all together. The sheer magnitude of this industry, how entrenched and indoctrinated we humans are to animal agriculture... it’s a hell of a lot to accept. All vegans have been there. When you have that moment of clarity and realization the change is just automatic, it’s simple.
This guy is on the verge of experiencing that.
He will watch some Earthling Ed when he seeks out more vegan knowledge. I’d imagine that’s the kind of activism he’s eluding to towards the end of the clip.
Also.. when this guy mentions that you should try to get through to those individuals that are just extremely combative and willfully ignorant. When you respond telling him that’s essentially a waste of time since they are not willing to listen, ignore facts, etc... I think about this a lot and I definitely think spending time reaching out to others is the smart approach.
But my thought is that those that are impossible to reach will eventually be the minority. Essentially if you can reach everyone else around those individuals they will have to change or they’ll be scrutinized merciless.

The one thing I wish more vegan activists would say is this: "No matter how good a life an animal had or how quick and painless the death, if killing them was unnecessary then it's morally wrong because it's taking the life of an innocent sentient being who feels pain and doesn't want to die. They cannot consent to being killed. And if their life was actually great, isn't killing them even worse because it takes away a life they were enjoying? There's no humane way to kill someone for a fleeting taste pleasure or profit. If you're killing an animal for survival or self-defense that's ok. But if you don't need animal products to be healthy (and you don't) then the reason you're killing them is a taste pleasure. A fleeting pleasurable feeling you get is not worth someone's life. There's no right way to do the wrong thing. Humane slaughter is an oxymoron."
Also ask the question: "ok, what's the humane way to do this?" And wait for their response. You can describe how it's usually done, captive bolt gun, throat slit with a blade, or gas chambers. Then ask, if that's a humane way to kill someone, would you be ok with this method for a pet, a human loved one, or for yourself? How are pets put down when they're too sick? How are humans killed when they consent because they're dying of old age or a terminal disease? Euthanasia. How's that done? With one drug to put you to sleep and another to stop your heart. Painless. But that can't be done with animals killed for meat, because the drugs poison the meat. So you get them to describe what they think would be a humane way of killing an animal and then ask if they'd be ok with that method for them or their pets.
As for the welfare argument, saying "I don't want bigger cages for slaves, I want to free the slaves. I want abolition." Is a great way to put it.

I have been vegan since 2012 It did not take me long to make the decision ,especially after watching the movie "Earthlings" I thought how unconscious I was to the atrocities, cognitive dissonance is a real issue. You are brave and a real hero! Just know so many people have your back and believe in your work. I am 62 Years old so it is never too late too change.

Looking inside yourself and admitting that you are part of the problem is hard. @@stevenlindhorst7579 well iv been vegan for 4 years and not once broken my lifstyle being vegan isnt a diet becuase its standing upm for the animals and a life prinsiple its not just a plant based diet also my 5 year old couisin has been vegan his whole life he ois healthy we went snowboarding for 6 hours a day for a week on the hilidays in the alpse and he was fine he wasnt tierd he was strong on a vegan plantbased diet. we also do high intense sport with my 5 year old cousin and he is fine good and full of energy . im always energetic

I hate when people appeal to the law. It sounds like they would try these things if they weren't illegal. Don't drive drunk because it's dangerous for your brain, body, and other people's lives. Don't punch, stab, or shoot people needlessly because that's cruel and disrespectful. And don't exploit people because that's dehumanizing and objectifying. Legality has little to do with common sense. Do we have to enforce common sense now? I just extend these same principles to nonhumans. Think about a mute person. They may or may not be able to do as much as the average person, but we know that they cannot speak. Is it okay to exploit them because you can't get verbal consent from them? You can see in their eyes and mannerisms whether or not they are comfortable. It's the same way with all nonhuman animals. Try to understand others nonverbally.
