- The cars we see on the roads today all had their beginnings as lines on paper, usually sketches quickly made with a pen in an attempt to capture a feeling or a thought before it escaped a designer's mind. Whether it is a concept car, built only for the purpose to capture the imagination or a production car built to satisfy the masses, they were all a product of a designer's hand, working with repetitive motions across paper, a product of their sense of space and proportion.
This film attempts to capture the spirit of car design, from the very beginning sketches to the final product. It looks into the creative process from the point of view of many of today's top designers as well as design heads, executives and board members of the world's top automotive brands.

At :53 you can see the Bentley designers sketch. Highly resembles the new genesis g80 2021 which was designed by Bentley !!! Crazy this was 4 years ago
That’s cause a car takes 4-6 years to develop. I mean from sketch to development.

You can design anything, even a stupid football play, these are just aesthetic examples with basic inputs and outputs.
Thinking more comprehensively:
Design is the ultimate Numeraire in commodity society. Its the measure of value that has a transfer mechanism to the owner in terms of perception by others. For example a BMW and a Honda have comparable weight and material value, but the BMW is worth more because its qualities and detailing ( design ) is superior, which isn't a judgement a priori, its qualitative, you can experience the difference.
