She is truly an amazing artist, it's the best looking Z4 ever created, a true masterpiece. I have a 2011 Z4 Sdrive 30i in Alpine White, and it's such a gorgeous vehicle and I love driving it everyday.

I love that 1:15 : "speak the language of people not the language of a product"... clearly ahead of her time.... next to a 507 this is the next best car BMW has ever built.... in body design terms.

Juliane Blasi is so underrated. She's such a good designer. She really did an amazing job translating the important design aspects of Gina Concept and the heritage design cues of the 507 into a road going production model. It even inspired Zagato's roadster concept. Unlike the new Z4 which lost so much of its elegance in the G29 model. It just looks like a generic car. BMW design started to look cornier and tackier the longer Calvin Luk is designing cars. Current BMWs just look ricey now.
Totally agree. The 1st and 2nd gen Z4s are absolutely gorgeous, but the 3rd gen is just.. Nasty compared to the previous 2.

precisely why this car has aged like fine wine and the new gimmicky overly trend-dependent design language for today's bmw (X7 facelift, iX, m3 and m4, XM concept especially) is so disheartening. I sincerely hope that sometime in the very recent future, whoever decided this new design language was the way to take BMW into the future changes their mind. BMW has such a rich heritage and so many iconic designs that their design future can be so much brighter than the direction it's currently going in.
Hi Juliane I just wanted to thank you for this design, in my lifetime this is the best ever exterior BMW have ever built, I liked it so much I bought a 35is for my wife today on valentines day...... hope she likes it....!! and one other point, they have just released the G29 new Z4 and I didn't like it, so I bought yours instead.... it's still fresh and modern better than the Ferrari California which shares the same roof mechanism. So well done..... :-) hope you read this one day.

This Z4 is SOO beautiful, I love it. I have an E39 M5, and I love where BMW is going with the latest models. I don't really care for the E60 as much though.

I own a black Z4 E89 30i. I agree with every point regarding the design. Unfortunately the engine sound is to quiet, that has been much better with the e85

Que paso de la señora diseñadora?? Hizo una obra maestra en diseño con el z4 e89. Por que la descontinuaron?? Porque si seguia con el desarrollo del nuevo z4 seguro seria espectacular. El nuevo z4 m4 es una desilucion.
Sorry, but compared to Anders Warming Z4 E85, this E89 is quite Anaemic........The E85 is a design classic that is increasing in value now

It was made with a manual gearbox - I have one it has a 6 speed manual gearbox.

e85 and e86 were pinnacle of beauty. newer z4's are ugly
E85 better shape by far...
Not so sure about that, E89 looks slimmer from the side. E85 is fatter.
Absolutely, the lines are a lot more thought through, you can tell that if was designed by a man.
@@DaVinci-uh4tr Have to 100% disagree. Also, saying that you can tell that the e85 was designed by a man has got to be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. It's so sexist it's laughable.
