The best word I wanted to hear from Larry- Remission! So glad to hear that sir.
MSG Vickers was a legend when I was a Private so seeing him go through what Agent O did to my old man while was gone has been rough. Good to see his improvement.
I just realized that he was in Delta when I was at Bragg from ‘91-‘93. My unit was in “Old Division”, just down the road from the Delta compound. We ran by it at least once a week. Perhaps we crossed paths. Dealing with cancer myself, I’m happy to see him doing well.
@@KB3AOL I was at Bragg from 98 - 2000 with the 504 PIR and he was a legend for sure. We looked up to all those guys.

To give you an idea how I feel about Larry Vickers.... I drove 2200 miles, one way, to take a one day rifle class with him at the Custer South Dakota Range. I'm so glad that he's on his way back.
I've been fortunate enough to have taken several classes from Larry over the years. He's an excellent teacher and a great dude!

Same here I saw him in the hospital and he looks and sounds like he's doing so much better, He got me autographed versions of his books as a thanks for helping him & the kids in the cancer ward out which I was happy to do

Yeah I've been thinking to myself lately, firearms and talking firearms, and shooting firearms for some reason brings an inner joy and satisfaction that is almost spiritual. Ever since I was little, I loved firearms. I felt that about Larry Vickers too, and after he kind of went away for a while, I was wondering if he was still around, because I know he loves firearms... and I sure am glad Larry is with us and ready to get back out there!!

Larry Vickers is a living legend, one of the most known Tier 1 special operators, with a great personality and almost uncanny way to convey his views and opinions. He came to Texas before Covid for a training seminar.
I also met in person Adam Ruonala at the NRA convention in Houston, TX, and he was a class-act gentleman with me, appreciating my admiration for Canik handguns, to which I call myself a "Canik-fanatik," I "only" own six different models.

I work in the construction industry and a way to not make the briefcase stand out as much is if you put it in a DeWalt box, dressed like a construction worker, carrying a set of rolled up plans/renderings. There are laser levels, demolition hammers, etc that are carried in a case. So if it is remade, it needs to look like a DeWalt, Bosch, Milwaukee, or Harbor Freight power tool case.
Always love hearing uncle Larry’s stories.

I agree with Larry concerning the M-1911a1. I was fortunate in that the US Army was still using the 1911a1 when I was in the Army. Was regular Infantry so guns were every day. Not the shooting part so much. Maintenance, parades, sentry duties and such. Since that M-1911 was the first and only handgun I ever shot for decades. I didn't have to unlearn skills to learn the 1911. I have friends that shoot Sig's with decocker's, Glock's with no safeties, Beretta's R-92 with combo safety/decocker, and, CZ pistols that always have problems with the manual safety of the 1911.
The only thing I hated about the original M-1911a1 was the ridiculously small front sight. Mine has a larger front sight.

he's not lying, i shot the zenith clone on my first day I ever shot a gun 4 years ago and it was phenomenal. Took me 46 years to finally shoot a firearm but that (and the p320) got me hooked.

Mr. Larry Vickers has lots of favorite guns; pistol - Colt M1911, belt fed - FN MAG, submachine gun - HK MP5, assault rifle - Colt M4, battle rifle - FN FAL, etc.
I believe the difference between the HK lowers is one is a standard HK lower while the lower with the grooves is the NAVY version.

.....my late father told me, almost 25 years ago - when he seen I had a bottle of that, he had seen that in Germany in the early 40's & people were even using the original recipe as a cut or small wound disinfectant & he obtained a small bottle of that he tried on his weapon which worked extraordinarily well, & he knew it was made in Germany aswell, before he even looked at the can I had......Amazing stuff & for what it is, it REALLY seems to cut carbon,....do others find this aswell??....
Speaking of drop tests for HK guns, it’s actually everything except the PSG1 and the MSG90.
