How To Fly FIRST CLASS on Spirit Airlines

- Watch this video to see how “First Class” you can make Spirit Airlines using some Spirit Airlines hacks.
Spirit Airlines is known far and wide as an ultra low cost airline. But in this video, we'll share some Spirit Airlines Tips we used on our recent Spirit Flight. Sure, they offer cheap fares, tiny seats, and essentially no frills. But we wanted to see just how “First Class” we could make the experience. Check out this video and let us know whether you’d call this a First Class Experience!
We flew Spirit Airlines from Atlantic City, New Jersey to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We took Spirit Airlines’ famous “Big Front Seats” which gives you more room, but doesn’t recline.
We had the full Spirit Airlines experience because we even had to deal with a Spirit Airlines delay!
We’ll even give the whole experience a “JebScore” so you know exactly what to expect from Spirit Airlines in terms of their overall service, seat, food, and experience. And, of course, we tried a Buzzball on Spirit Airlines!

Every airline has pros and cons. You just have to know each carriers’ rules and weigh what matters to you. I’ve flown Spirit many times, often in the Big Front Seat. Most recently it was seeing family - Delta wanted $847 round trip while Spirit was $234 round trip with a big front seat both ways. $600 is a lot of money. In another instance Spirit and Delta were within $25. I took Delta.
I love me some Delta, but Spirit sure could tempt me with that price difference
my biggest issue with Spirit is all of the added costs. it ends up being the same price as or not that much cheaper than some other airlines if you’re going to certain locations
@@WCmexico98 True but that is why we do the math and the PROS AND CONS we all prefer to to take the better airlnes but if the savings are worth it I will fly low cost. But I will never go low cost on an International flight.
@@robertosanchez4117 That's fair. I can't fly Spirit because of the poor leg room. I have a pretty bad back. I need more leg room which is why I prefer Delta or JetBlue
Hello
Was the $847 for a big first class seat on Delta or a regular seat?
You should do a Delta hub hopping ATL-JFK-BOS-DTW-MSP-SLC-SEA to name a few. The United one was cool.
This. American Airlines would be also fun, but also kinda hell.
United hop was awesome
Agree
MSP is the best
Yes, and check a bag to see if it makes it.
“Flight attendant came strolling up” - as an airline crew member, I must stress to please consider whether that is the original crew member. Often we are on reserve, and called to the airport at all hours of the day. Multiple times I wasn’t told the flight was late, and one time they gave me a completely wrong time. Finally, an hour to be called, run to the airport, go through security, and get to the gate is pretty good.
I agree. Jeb has an interesting channel, and I usually enjoy watching it, but his subtle sense of entitlement can be ANNOYING. Why include "lounge and food" in his final rating when EVERYONE knows that really they don't have either?! Yes, one can purchase food, but it's NOT the norm, on an ultra low cost carrier!!!! 🥴
@@itoo3654 It’s not always so subtle.
@@itoo3654 Yeah his tone can get annoying about a few things here or there
@@itoo3654 But his girlfriend said that, not him.
@@itoo3654 wow. Entitlement?? I’d say Jeb and Suzanne are two of the least entitled people I’ve ever seen
I love Suzanne getting more camera time, she’s so wonderful!!!!
In the pre Covid days, I was able to buy a round trip ticket at the spirit counter from ACY-FLL for $52. Probably my best flight experience ever since it was so cheap
I legit flew from the Midwest to Orlando for $30 one way. The flight was only $15, and then $15 in fees/taxes 😂. This was during COVID, but still so funny!
Great review. I can promise you that your flight attendant didn’t just decide not to show up. That would likely mean getting fired. They had to call out a reserve, and when they are called, they have 2 hours to report to the airport. Having one show up in only an hour is actually pretty good
Came here to say this exact thing!!
BS
@@BBAKER22it's not BS have you worked as a FA?
@v1__rotate yes but the pilots are what matter the FA are just waters
A lot of people Poo Poo SPIRIT but I for one find them to be a refreshing alternative to high priced airlines. I first flew them in the thick of Quarantine so even the high priced airlines had nothing to offer in First Class other than a bigger seat. Being a big guy, that is mostly what I look for. The big front seats are just fine for me. And my first experience cost me $400 as opposed to a $4000 alternative with the major airlines. So for the savings, I could bring my own snacks and bottle of water or soda AND I rarely use in flight entertainment, resorting to using my phone or Ipad. So I give them two thumbs up!
Most airlines when it comes to crew reserves have a 2 hour call out. So depending on what time they got called will determine when they are there.
ACY is a crew base but it's a very small base. The replacement Flight Attendant probably did have a call-out time as mentioned, or one of the overnighting crews got reassigned. As you've seen, not a lot around the ACY airport, so by the time getting transport to get them from where the hotels are at and then to the airport in and of itself can take 30-40 minutes.
@@flyoma Plus any minimum rest periods would also potentially limit immediate availability
“First class on Spirit Airlines”… rather oxymoronic if you ask me🤣
Also advice to others flying Spirit, bring an external phone battery channel to keep your devices charged. Helped out a lot when I was on Spirit last week
yep! I did Spirit's "first class" for a 4 hour flight. ENjoyable experience./
Four years ago I flew Spirit from Las Vegas to San Diego, then San Diego to Houston a few days later. I paid for big upfront seats and a checked bag on both flights, and still paid a lot less than the other airlines wanted for the same routing, and I wouldn't have had a big, comfortable seat with the other airlines! I had a great couple of flights. 😊
yeah people can say what they want and I agree it's not for everyone but I love them. The price is amazing and I have never had an issue with staff and as far as inflight entertainment goes, I have a fire tablet so I can listen to music, read, do a sudoku or watch a downloaded movie so I am good.
5:31 "If you are in your seat, please keep your seatbelts fastened."
I know what he meant by this, but I love how it sounds like you can just choose to stand for the flight.
"WHATS IS GOOOOOING ONNNNN...!!!!"
It's important to note that it's not 1 FA per 50 pax; it's 1 FA per 50 seats as per the FAA & some flights are not full. Also, it may have been a reserve or ready reserve FA that ended up being the 3rd FA on your flight.
I appreciate the video sir. As an employee, I’m honored that you took the time to make the video.
I love Spirit’s livery. Reminds me of when my dad worked for Hughes Airwest. Loved seeing the “flying banana” in the air.
Agreed! As a kid I used to love seeing their DC-9s and F-27s at LAX. “The top banana in the west!”
Loved this video! Don't get me wrong, I love the first class/business videos, but videos like this are so much fun! I feel like your channel has evolved (concept wise) so much in 2022, there is more variety and your personality shines even more!! I always end up with a big smile after watching your videos!
I LOVE how Suzanne has been an increasingly more present feature of the channel. You guys are such an awesome couple. I fly a lot, I hope I run into you one of these days so I can buy you a G&T. Cheers, Jeb!!
Yes, we love Suzanne.
I swear, Jeb and Suzanne. I love your guys’ channel because I love seeing the reviews and where you travel to, I just love it so much!
Wow!!!! I love how tried so hard to make a less good airline cool. To my knowleadge you did it pretty well!! Excellent video Jeb.
Love your humor! It makes these videos all that much more awesome.
Anyone else love seeing their local regional airport get some love on Jeb's channel? Thanks for stopping by the Jersey Shore this summer guys!
Hi Suzanne and Jeb. It is good seeing you guys again. Thank you so much for your videos. Amen
Suzanne continues to be a wonderful addition to the videos! You two are great together!
Just had an amazing experience in September flying big front seat for cheap. I booked my ticket at the ticket counter and also used the bid up feature to score myself a big front seat on my way down to Vegas from Seattle.
As a Canadian, I once flew NYC to Myrtle Beach. The flight arrived right on time and I loved it. I really never understood what was so bad about it-.
Too many fools demand low prices and Emirates level experience. It's silly and ludicrous. If Spirit was available for the flight that I wanted to take on my vacation in 2020, I would have tried them at least once.
The issue with Spirit and other ultra low cost carriers is what happens when things go wrong. Since they spend the bare minimum on maintenance, crews, etc, the have less slack to deal with delays, and worse customer service. Your flight is more likely to get cancelled last minute with no recourse than it would be on a full service carrier.
Also, nice job on the video of the 'Spirit' plane 'floating/rolling' through/on the low clouds there on the tarmac. Good on! Also, 10s of thousands of 'customers' waiting out the 'delay' in the massage chairs was a little funny, too, should one see it as innuendo in/of the 'spirit realm.' 😇
Love your videos Jeb! Keep up the amazing work
spirit be like "tickets are $20 but you gotta fly the plane"
I actually can't count how many times I laughed out right loud during this video - y'all have so much fun, and I had so much fun watching!
surreal seeing this, I've made this EXACT flight multiple times a year since I was probably 11. Spirit definitely only works if you have firm expectations set, all they expect you to do is know the baggage requirements, find your own way to the gate, and get in. On the plus side, flying with literally any carrier when I get the rare chance to feels like 1st class every time, because I grew up knowing I had to shell out allowance even if I wanted a Sprite and making EXTRA sure my phone was charged lol. But when you can get a flight that's literally cheaper than the gas it would take to get to MYR from SE Pennsylvania where I lived, for 9x less time, it's totally worth it. Bonus points for how stress free ACY, since it's not as popular as an airport.
Great video guys! Thanks for reviewing Spirit honesty guys!
Hi Jeb and Suzanne! Thank you for uploading this video. This video was very informative! Great to know how the airlines work and the impressions about it! Keep up the great!
Best Regards from Florida!
Your content is always excellent! Very informative for those of us who travel for work...
Jeb drinking a buzzball on spirit is the ultimate vibe for this weekend🎉🎉
Jen your intro was so funny made me laugh when I thought about it during the video. I hope you have a good rest of your day!
Loved this! Love Jeb and Suzanne!
Always have a great attitude. Be like Jeb
i really love those small airports. thanks for sharing
Absolute Class Jeb! Always love your travel vlogs ... today certainly didn't disappoint (very informative!) .. except this morning, in bed, I woke the wife laughing my head off at the brilliant humour, wit and punctuated but well delivered sarcasm...
(thanks to you both, from near Windsor, UK)
I've been watching a lot of your videos and noticed your great watch collection! I plan on getting a Tudor BB GMT next. Great video, I'm glad you and your wife survived spirit airline!
Thank you for flying with us Jeb!
LOL. I actually just flew out of AC to FL (and back again). I have to say I love that airport and I LOVE flying with spirit. You can't beat the price and the staff are always nice.
AC is soo nice, used to fly out of there
I fly Spirit all the time from AC. I've never had any problems. Since I live nearby, I don't see myself traveling 2 hours to Newark EWR and pay extra for tolls, gas and parking, nor 1 hrs to Philly as well as paying more for a flight. Once we even left the car parked and no problems. I'll stay with Spirit. Great review!!
Have you ever thought about going on the Trans-Siberian railway?
Hi Jeb! I've flown out of ACY for many years and it's very fun seeing you there as well! Also, Atlantic City isn't just not busy in the mornings, it's never busy!
First! Good to watch another Jeb Brooks video!
Goes to show, with the right attitude, most flights can be fun!
I love how you always smile no matter what 😅
You guys are awesome.
You have a very positive attitude, sir.
Great video! Would love to see more of these “budget friendly” flights 😊
Nice Vid Jeb From My Hometown Airport! Im Happy You Had A Blast In Atlantic City, And That Spirit "First Class" Seat Looked Miles Better Than A CRJ 200 First Class Seat On American!
Hey Jeb, just met you and your wife outside in n out at LAX today. Love the channel.
Thanks again being so kinda and welcoming! Really excited for your upcoming video (won’t ruin the surprise)!! See you in the skies
Thanks so much for saying hello!! More to come…
As always, a delight to watch; but your musical jingle and Susans' subsequent forehead slap, were priceless!
I agree about the great livery color
I used to travel to Atlanta frequently, and when I did, I flew Spirit out of AC. I considered Spirit planes as school buses with wings. For me, AC was a 2.5 hour drive. Once i got a round trip for $87. My trips were weekends. I could get everything i needed into a backpack. I also packed a small empty pocketbook, that I would use once I got to Atlanta. That constituted my free carry on. The other thing about AC was the cheap parking lot that was pretty much walking distance to the terminal. And the security line was pretty much non existent. Those were my very frugal days. I've since sworn off Spirit. My finances are such, that I can afford to treat myself, and I don't do the frequent trips to Atlanta anymore.
Good channel.
I see Jeb posted a video, I click it immediately! 😊
Love you guys!!! Very polite!!
You guys are the absolute BEST 👌 👍 🤩
Nice to watch you guys! Greetings from Honduras
You guys are so wholesome! :)
Loved this video-so fun!!!
great video... thanks
i was waiting for this
It feels like a missed opportunity not to call us Jeb Setters, great video!
The yellow looks amazing with a Vegas sunset on it.
I've flown into Myrtle Beach a number of times. It's a beautiful airport, and they loop you around so you can see the beach before landing. It's a great trip, and there is plenty to do in Myrtle.
love the big seats and 😫
wonderful service
I love that Spirit Airlines yellow livery too.
I love The Big Front Seat. The other day Spirit offered a base fare of $69 between Raleigh, NC and Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Too funny! You guys are awesome.
Great videos guys
I confess I also love Spirit colors... First time I saw it I was amazed.
Me too love the yellow and how it looks
5:20 ANOTHER DOSE OF THAT CLASSIC JEB BROOKS SASS! TOO GROOVY!
god damn im bouta fly my first flight ever and you guys and your videos made it so much easier for me
Thank you. Greetings from Canada.
Having my Europe glasses on this was fun to watch.
This has got to be one of the most entertaining videos you made yet!!!🤣
Hey Jeb, lovely video as always. Love it when you both travel together! Any chance you could do a KLM business review in the coming future? 😃
Ill admit that when I first flew Spirit Airlines I was nervous because of all the negatives I had read or heard but I've been flying with Spirit for years now and have had never had a bad experience and I thought the flight crew was nicer than other airlines I've flown with like Alaska, American Eagle, United and Delta.
That’s great to hear! Unfortunately, the “negative” stories get told more often and with louder voices than the MANY positive onboard experiences people have everyday!
Very nice. Thank you.
Good review. Spot on.
You’re not the only one who loves the spirit livery! Seriously it the only thing to love. The spirt submarine
So nice we try soon
I've been flying spirit for years out of Atlantic City and yeah they are low based airline but they get you to where you need to be
Subscriber from Myrtle Beach checking in. Enjoy the videos, I saw my house!
YAY LOVE YOU TWO TRAVEL TOGETHER.
New Zealand Airlines is my favorite livery. Looks really cool to me.
The Parrothead Mantra. It's 5 O'Clock somewhere. LOL! BTW. This past summer, before Jimmy Buffet passed away, Philadelphia had a theatre show called License to Chill-Jimmy Buffet 'salute' if you will. He would later pass away and I began to wonder about the connection between theater shows in Philly and current events. That one was too weird for me based on other coincidences.
Yes I wanted another low cost carrier video!
Jeb, I think flying with Suzanne automatically made Spirit first class ❤
Another First Class video from my favorite world travelers- Jeb and Suzanne
I hang out at RSW Ft Myers and yeah they’re a huge part of our air service here. Flown Spirit to OH several times and never had an issue.
You guys are awesome
Love the singing👍🏽👏🏽💯😅
Jeb, Suzanne is getting the hang of this vlogging thing. She seems to be more comfortable in front of the camera. I'm glad she's on with you more and more!
I love yellow so love spirit’s livery

My hometown of Newport News, Virginia! I could even see the neighborhood I grew up in!
First shot prominently features Newport News - Williamsburg International Airport which has a grand total of two airlines: American Airlines (yes it's a plane, not a bus) servicing Charlotte and the recently-added Avelo Airlines servicing Florida.
Second shot prominently features the James River Bridge, which was at one point one of the longest bridges in the world. Today it is ranked as the 118th longest bridge. Newport News Shipyard is at the bottom of the frame, most notable for being where all of the aircraft carriers for the United States Navy are constructed.
I always flight with them, And I loved
Hello from Manila. Nice video. And even nicer Rolex Panda!
