    Great video! The size that the point Bron lineup really caused a lot of problems for the smaller OKC team; whenever AD or Lebron got into the post it was an instant mismatch and OKC had to help and be thrown into rotation. Lakers managed to get lots of offensive rebounds as well. On defense it shielded them from the guard to guard screens that OKC liked to use to target Reaves and DLo in the PNR.
    OKC needs a large athletic forward in their starting lineup and rotation as well, wonder what moves they’re gonna make.

    LeBron's slashing game is somehow still elite which is absurd. Putting him at the point maximises that advantage while creating space inside for his teammates who aren't great from beyond the line. Davis' mobility also helps suck the defense out and allow space for either LeBron or one of the wings to drive into.

    The reason why they go with this lineup is because the Lakers usually have a slow start and usually trail by 20 points after the first quarter. So they figure to prioritize the defense with versatile wings disrupting passing lanes and have a size advantage maybe disrupting shots taken by opposing teams. Yes they will sacrifice shooting, and offensive options like D-LO or Reaves. However, LBJ and AD are both capable of playmaking and creating their own shot. There is no need to have other scorers on. It is either rallying and trading baskets with opposing teams or prioritizing getting stops while sacrificing a little bit of offense. It worked in this game as OKC was up 39-36 at the end of the first period. Only up by 4 points compared to other games where the Lakers would be down by 20 points and would have to come back from a crazy deficit.

      5,000 less assists with 1,000 more turnovers than Stockton, but somehow this guy is one of the best playmakers in NBA history? He's a mid playmaker at best, with a mid IQ. I'll do you one better than that ''The Mailman'' Karl Malone was asked who's the best player ever and he didn't say his teammate Stockton or his arch rival MJ; no, he said LBJ so you make no sense but I'll entertain your desperate and feeble attempt to minimize LBJ's greatness I get that too. Also, when you've watched televised games that LBJ has played on be it the Cavs, Heat & now LA what do you see and hear? In his prime, and even now to a certain extent what do you hear from players, commentators & coaches I know what you hear they ''ALL'' say he's one of, or arguably the ''GOAT'' and you've even heard if MJ & Magic had a baby it wld be LBJ..So, see, it's not an indictment on LBJ it's an indictment on you bc you can't differentiate dislike for ''GREATNESS''...and you know what you watch whether to criticize or hope he fails but you watch. And the bottom-line is ''YOU KNOW THAT WE KNOW YOU KNOW'' and that has to hurt. He may not be your goat but it's getting harder for ppl like you to find reasons to say he's not & that has to hurt too... In-closing, he has 5k less assts than Stockton but still top 4 all-time in assts and has 20k more points than Stockton..Just stop you can't win and you make ''NO SENSE''...but I digress....

      I agree. I have thought about this a lot, and I think the best way to put it to MJ fans is this -- Jordan is the greatest position player of all time! Nobody has ever played any single position better than Jordan played shooting guard. So when the Bulls built a perfect team around him, with a HOF coach that could play to MJ's strengths as a shooting guard, he led them to multiple championships.
      But LeBron is one of a kind. He's the greatest small forward ever AND the best point guard ever! He's basically like Karl Malone and Magic Johnson combined. LeBron is #1 all time in playoff scoring, AND #1 all time in playoff assists, AND #4 all time in playoff rebounds. So he gives you what a wing does best (scoring) and what a big does best (rebounds) and what a PG does best (assists) all in one player! GOAT!

    • @KaineTremaine
      @KaineTremaine 11 месяцев назад

      @larsonpark3819 Smh.. it's Fake News saying LeBron is #1 All Time in playoff points or assists.
      Why? bc it's based on longevity, not on a per game basis.
      - Also he cheated the game.. rigging an already weak Eastern conference by creating Super Teams, but still struggled going 6-7 games vs bad teams.. then got to the NBA Finals and was exposed.
      - Also LeBron rejects coaching and runs the "LeSystem offense". A proven failed offense where he dribbles entire shot clocks away and his teammates have no idea when or of he'll pass. Usually a late pass, or awkward step back (brick) 3.. Proven failed LeSystem bc overall losing record on Super Teams.
      - Prime LeBron Missed playoffs in LA 2019
      - 2022 missed the Play-in with a Prime AD Super Team 50 losses

    It's confusing why the Lakers deviated from Lebron at the point after winning a title with it. The McGee, AD, Bron, KCP, Danny Green starting 5 that won the title had a few vulnerabilities; defending quicker point guards and ball handling if a smaller quick energetic guy (think Derrick Jones Jr.) decided to pick up Lebron full court and wear him down. They also had a problem with needing "Lebron Lite" coming off the bench to maintain their identity. This is the role Rondo played superbly which is why he was so vital to the championship. When teams put a small player on Lebron, Rondo would bring it up and let Lebron post him up. They made a great move that offseason bringing in a 6th man point guard that could defend smaller guards; however, the mistake was giving into Schroeder's desire to start rather than bringing him off the bench and maintaining their big starting five identity. Then, the Lakers doubled down by trading for Westbrook (and sabotaging his career). Finally, they are getting back to what worked with the AD/Bron pairing. Not that it's a guarantee to win; however, it just strikes us as odd that the Lebronkers never went back to the proven formula.
