    As impressive as LeBron is, the way the Lakers still depend on him so much to bail them out offensively is completely unsustainable for any kind of respectable playoffs run.
    In 2020, by comparison, you generally knew what you were getting from a given player and you weren't wasting half a quarter every game by letting LeBron rest. It certainly felt like everyone was more locked-in mentallly (which was arguably reflected by their #3 Defensive Rating and #5 Net rating in that season).

  • @Paulie_Geelie
    @Paulie_Geelie 8 месяцев назад +12

    Lebron can still carry a team to victory, but he can only do it when he really dials in and goes 100%. My only concern is how many of these 100% games he has left in the tank, because without LeBron playing at this elite level for at least half of the series, the Lakers can’t go deep into the playoffs.

    • @LoksTheGamer
      @LoksTheGamer 8 месяцев назад +3

      Yea, he can’t maintain “the zone” as much anymore at this point of his career. The role players definitely need to share the load without his presence as much very early in games, because it hurts in the long run.

      If the Lakers still need him to go into that mode, that regularly mid-season then they're cooked in the playoffs.
      All it'll take is another late season injury that affects LeBron's shooting and suddenly - at least, how it looks to me - the Lakers only really have Reeves and occasionally D'Lo as primary scorers (AD will have his energy and attention split being the Lakers' best defender and he's nowhere near the playmaker LeBron is).

    The amount of conspiracies coming out, to explain why he couldn't have done this. It's absurd to me people have missed so much of his career yet make such bold statements. He's done this before. In 2008, Milwaukee. He hit 8 threes, literally just chucking it from everywhere like an insane person, and the Cavs were losing the whole game before he did. He's had this performance on basically every team he's been on. The only reason it was 34 points this time was absolutely because of his age.
    This used to be 55+ points. That's age. He's not getting better. This is him at his SLOWEST.

    Boy oh boy where do I even begin. Lebron... honey, my pookie bear. I have loved you ever since I first laid eyes on you. The way you drive into the paint and strike fear into your enemies eyes. Your silky smooth touch around the rim, and that gorgeous jumpshot. I would do anything for you. I wish it were possible to freeze time so l would never have to watch you retire. You had a rough childhood, but you never gave up hope.
    You are even amazing off the court, you're a great husband and father, sometimes | even call you dad. I forever dread and weep, thinking of the day you will one day retire. I would sacrifice my own life it were the only thing that could put a smile on your beautiful face. You have given me so much joy, and heartbreak over the years.
