    What’s crazy is, the rest of the team isn’t playing out of their minds (besides Haliburton). it’s not like the whole team is on a crazy hot streak. Turner will step up one night, Nesmith the next, Obi Toppin the next etc. Even Hield has been pretty cold lately and he’s a huge part of the offense. Like this is just how these guys normally play, nobody is playing way above their level. Which makes me think this offense is sustainable.

    All players have pros and cons. Weaknesses and strengths….
    But for Hali (if you only judge based on what PGs are expected to do. Obviously something like offensive rebounding isn’t relevant)
    He doesn’t lose any value from his weaknesses, cause he pretty much doesn’t have any offensive PG weaknesses.
    And the skills he is the very best at, are incredibly valuable. And he can produce that incredible value over and over and over and over.
    He’s an absolute monster!

    If you look at Curry’s first MVP season and compare it to Haliburton’s current season you can see that Hali is shooting a better 3PT% while attempting more 3PA/game than Curry in his first MVP season. And the level of shot difficulty is somewhat similar, with Hali attempting the second most pull-up 3PA this season at 7.1/game and just behind Luka who’s at 7.11/game. Not only that he’s attempting more pull-up 3PA than Curry this season who’s at 5.6/game and shoots at 33.7% vs Hali’s 42.5% on pull-up threes. In fact, in the top 10 for most pull-up 3PA, he has the highest efficiency, Luka at #1 shoots at 40.5% I’m not saying Hali is a better shooter than Curry now, but it’s time he gets added into the conversation of best shooters in the league, and if he keeps this pace up for the rest of his career he’s going to be added into the greatest shooters of all time conversations. Didn’t even mention how he’s most definitely the second best passer in the league behind Jokic, and is the best passer amongst guards.

    How many playmakers u taking over Hali in 2024? He’s averaging 12 assists btw

    • @HoopVenue
      @HoopVenue  Год назад +7

      That's an impossible question to answer tbh, because there are so many different ways to make plays/create opportunities, and Hali's style is unique in a way that others don't replicate.
      I'm still taking Jokic/Luka as my top 2, but after that he's certainly at the top of the discussion.

    Time and again no matter the sport of the league scouts overlook players because of their 'unorthodox' style or appearance only to discover they were sorely mistaken..
    When will they ever learn that it's not about 'appearance' but actually how you play and results on the floor?

    Tyrese might become a better version of CP3 he is more explosive offensively but of course he has to continue to grow in defense too.
    There is not many guards better than him right now I would put him at the same category as Mitchell and Ant because I don’t think you can rely on those two to make every single play on offensive ends but Tyrese can those two is more of a scorer probably better than Tyrese to create his own shot but they are no where close to him in terms of building your offense around one guy.
    He is the guard version of Jokic both teams run through them and putting on crazy stats with insane efficiency and in terms of turnovers Tyrese is even better.
    Of course when it comes to playoffs against elite defense Jokic is different beast but Tyrese can make a case to make All-NBA this year which is absolutely incredible.
