Nice session.... the track- where all the quality work gets done... and no-where to hide.... you know exactly where you're at after a track session... For all us XC/fell/mountain runners etc... the track will find you out lol....
Comparing her best marks on the VDOT charts, she proves to be STRONGER on the two miles. Her mile time is a 63 on the VDOT charts, her 800 meter is 60, and the two miles is 65. She has lots of potential for the longer races - !congratulations!
I love K's. fierce approach and bravery but would love to see her plan her races better and develop confidence in her ability to move through a field of competitors instead of instantly heading. Just one more tip (as I need to restrain myself) and that is to try to do the majority of workouts on grass. (One can informally measure out distances on a flat farm field if necessary). This puts less stress on the legs and long term can prevent shin splints or stress fractures developing. Doing reps. or fartlek on the track is easy / convenient / lazy and 'normal,' and may seem to do no harm when one is very young but is not the way to go.
She has a lot of strength but lacks speed. I ran 51 400 and 2 flat for 800 in high school but my mile time was only 4.28 and 2 mile 9.58.. so i can see she could use a little more speed as her 2.13 800 is not up to what the performance standard of her other distances are. Wander what her 400 best is. I would guess 55 to 57.. she should work on that too.
@@zoemacera6244 I ran a track meet in poplar bluff indoor meet and there was a 11 year old boy who was running 10 minutes for the 2 miles. If you want to make the olympics the times now are very fast at a young age. Look at boling 9.9 100 meters in high school and the boys are running 4 minute miles in high school too
Yeah I don't think you fully understand if a girl ran 51 in 400 in high school she would have absolutely dominated at the youth world championships etc because majority of female athletes run 50 for 400
@@zoemacera6244 i wasnt saying she should run 51. I said I ran 51 and got the same 2 mile time as her. That why I said she should be a little faster than 56. maybe 54 or 55
@@joys8634 yeah but she's a sophomore in high school! That's incredible for someone her age. No need to be hating on her even if she might be slower than u. She doesn't even run hurdles so don't compare apples to oranges.
Her resp's are based on 9:52 for the TWO MILES, that's a 65 on the VDOT charts. On the other hand if your best two mile mark is not faster than hers than you're over trainning and you could get injured. Take a look at the following video and you'll understand how the trainer arrives at these speeds. ruclips.net/video/kRvu8EJ_o1o/видео.html I hope the information come in handy so you can become a better runner - best of luck in your running.
Everyone needs to stop hating on her just cuz she might be slower than Olympic speed. She's only a sophomore in high school! She has so much time to improve. She's running hard to the best of HER ability. She shouldn't be criticized for that. She's not even near "slow."
Finally a Katelynne Hart video! Absolutely love her! Incredible runner, extremely mature and humble.

I did the workout td, I think my coach was inspired.
I know my training session is fucked up when I accidentally drop something lower than 1:40 in 600m. And I'll have to do 3 more plus 4x300m
Excellent, she is a great athlete!

Mrkientube yeah she can sustain a 2:29 800m pace for 2 miles...crazy!
Very good arm movement!
I wanna be as good as her..
Get training then
Saw you today at the Twilight Meet! Congrats on an amazing win and time,KK!
Interview Ryan From La Porte High school in Texas.
How much recovery between repeating?
I’m tired just watching this
RELAX WITH THE ARMS
That's what i was stressing >.< that way she might be able to shave a few seconds off any race
Does she rest every time she finished a run?
Yes
why is she starting and ending after the curve?
Cringed me out
How year old is she ?
10th in the video
She was 15 or 16 in this video
0:74? Nice stopwatch
But did you know her 600s were all around 0:115?
Some coaches like mine say it like that, no idea why
I go off of that. Idk just been forced down my throat and it’s normal. Hearing 1:15 sounds weird lol

Umm for a girl to run 51 for 400 as a sophomore is INSANE!! ARE YOU BEAING REALISTIC???

He's probs a loser who never exercises and is jealous

Maybe not, but it must work because she's really fast
my 200’s and 400’s are better than hers
who cares

she’s not racing though, it’s just a workout
where are your vids? I'd love to check them out
Not very impressive tbh
Tinka Watson wow, that actually makes a lot of sense; I was wondering why her times seemed so slow.

Well she’s fast as fuck now so you better watch ur pretty mouth before I kiss it
