    Did this workout: Avg 400m- 1:25m, 300m- 1:00m & 200m- 42 sec. Not great but hopefully i can get it down. Great plan though.

    Love these speed endurance workouts, coaching middle distance and distance runners at the high school level and these types of workouts are essential

      @@DreTheChronic Goes without saying that a total approach is required. Still, this w/o is a superb speed/endurance for an elite runner. She does it well, indeed.

    Anyone who thinks a 5k runner is a "distance" runner only.... haha.... plenty of easy pace on display here.... Super workout... :)

      @@DreTheChronic Certainly. At the highschool level, anything above 800m is long distance. At the professional level, 1500m and the mile might also be classified as mid distance. 5K easily makes the cut for long distance by either standard.

      @@synchronium24 I think he meant 5k runners have more sprint-like speed than people think. Most people absently think of the total time for a 5k run without remembering or thinking about the speed that it requires.

    Based on her 5k performance in Payton Jordan before this workout, 63-68 is her “sprinting” speed by McMillan’s Running Calculator, meaning she could keep 68s up for Maybe 8:00 minutes in a race. So this is definitely not her cruising speed.

    I get the impression that every 400 she begins with 31" for the first 200 meters. If she finishes in 66", the second 200 is much slower. To me this implies that 66" isn't her 'cruising speed'...

    Did anyone notice she is heal striking and not on her toes man she must get hella shin splints but her form is on top

      Jaythebigboi Smith She’s more on the balls of her feet. My coach always told me to run on the balls of my feet to prevent shin splints, I used to run on my toes and didn’t recover for a whole year.
