    For both forehand and backhand flick, place your paddle parallel to the surface of the table. Then you can flick any ball regardless how low it is. It's called wrapping the ball. Very difficult to execute. You need to have extremely flexible wrist and fingers.

    So, we put our right knee under the table for both the forehand and backhand flicks? Seems kind of weird, but I will def. try it out tomorrow. The group I play with plays a lot of short balls, which I absolutely hate. I have been practicing to attack these short balls. Thanks!

    It looks like you don't change your thumb position for the BH flick. Some people move their thumb so that it actually touches the rubber when touch BH. Can you please explain the process/con of doing this?

    • @tinyfish12
      @tinyfish12 5 лет назад +1

      That's actually a bad habit, it will cause the error if the next stroke is forehand. try to avoid that.

    What about the banana flick and advantages/disadvantages ?

    • @mordecaaai
      @mordecaaai 6 лет назад

      Banana flick and backhand flick are the same thing, just different names. This technique is also sometimes called Chiquita

    • @rcarioca
      @rcarioca 6 лет назад +3

      My impression is that the chiquita was more of a sidespin flick which works against backspin by spin avoidance which makes it easier to impart your own spin. Against sidespin, the chiquita and regular backhand flick works by overpowering (for sidespin and back spin) and imparting your own spin.

  • @Жэк
