What kind of tripod do you use for your sliders? We have the ROV sliders and they tend to rock from side to side as the camera approaches the end and makes it heavier than the other side.
I never support with only one tripod in the middle. I have used mic stands with 1/2 adapters. Manfrottos, libec etc. but usually we either sit on a flat surface or use the stands I linked to in the description. 👍🏻
The motors are pretty quiet. It's not silent, but I've never had a member of the congregation complain or even mention it. Unless you are in a completely silent room you'll be fine. The ambient noise of our movers fans, the audio systems etc, I've never worried about it.
Pick up a GVM 48 inch slider here, I highly recommend them. amzn.to/3DrrQ08
For a mounting options, we put a couple of Arca-Swiss mounts on the top of some heavy mic stands, works great.
Yes! We use mic stands a lot as well.

Have you experimented with using slider in vertical setup?
I have looked at using a slypod for that. These can do an incline but not vertical.
How long do the batteries last?
I’d say the npf you get with it will run it for about 2-3 hours 🤷🏼♂️. Ours are powered via dc. You could get bigger Sony npf batteries though.
