Imagine the captions were messed up through the entire trilogy 🤣 "Every single man or woman who has stood their ground, everyone who has fought an Asian .......... has died"
Architect scene explanation: basically, the matrix doesn’t work properly if enough people plugged in start to doubt the simulation. If that happens then eventually the whole simulation will crash. That’s what happened to the first two versions of the matrix. The solution thought of by the Oracle at the time was to give people a choice of whether to accept or reject the simulation (even if they were only aware of that choice at a subconscious level as the architect says). Just by having that element of choice led to the matrix functioning at the best it ever did with 99% of people accepting it. But that still left the 1% that didn’t. Anyone that felt like there was something wrong with the world and eventually escaped the matrix like Morpheus or Trinity (or Neo) is a part of that 1%. Those that “wake up” just go take refuge in Zion and the machines always know where they are. Those in the 1% that don’t wake up and stay in the matrix contribute to its eventual system failure. Eventually the system will crash due to the 1% that reject it, just like the previous versions. That’s where the whole concept of “the one” comes in. The One is essentially meant to act as a proxy for the 1% of humanity that rejects the matrix. A human is chosen (seemingly at random but in Neo’s case not so much) to carry this special code, and because of the prophecy, is set out on this path that eventually will lead him to the source under false pretenses. The choice for The One to reboot the matrix or not is essentially the choice every human is given to accept the matrix or not. And since The One has been led to think he needs to save humanity, he’s chosen to reboot the matrix every time until now for the sake of the greater good (again, if he doesn’t choose to reboot, the system crashes just like with the first two versions of the matrix). What makes Neo different is his love for Trinity caused him to choose otherwise.
in the DVD box set there is an anthology movie between "The Matrix" and "The Matrix reloaded" called "The Animatrix". It is an anime and fills in a lot of questions!!
time code: 30:11 - Not just a kiss... but an upgrade kiss! videogamology & computer upgrades of neo is so powerful. 1. video games: like all fighting video games, characters receive power-ups by eating food. example: pork chops, apples, banana, "COOKIES" etc.; that heal, power-up, or evolve the character. Also, "KISSES" can powerup a game character! 2. computers: when installing massive programs, like microsoft office or corel paint, you must "restart" the computer to receive the complete upgrade or it will only partially work. matrix 1: neo eats a "cookie" from the oracle, by "choice", And now he is powered-up & enhanced... but, neo cannot receive the full upgrade until he is "turned off" & "turned back on" [restart]. agent smith turns neo, "off", by seemingly, killing him with rapid gun-shot fire. but the only one can turn him "on", is trinity, which she does with a, "kiss", just like a video game. after the kiss, neo 6.0 has been fully installed, with upgrades, & ready to fight! film 2: ...Soooo in matrix 2..., "the kiss" that Persephone gave neo 6.0 ... do you think it was just a regular kiss...? no way! neo can now control machines in the real world & can survive the process, afterwards. this is what surprises the oracle in matrix 3: The oracle was not expecting neo to receive the 2nd upgrade. in matrix 3: another cookie is offered to neo 6.0 to receive another upgrade, does he accept it or reject it? matrix 2: almost forgot, neo received the 2nd upgrade by the oracle, sitting on the bench! remember the candy? neo never ate it because "upgraded agent smith", had appeared!
I’ve gotta admit that as a kid I thought Reloaded sucked. But I realize as an adult it was really because I didn’t understand it. Now that I actually GET the ending/everything revealed in the Architect scene, my perspective has changed completely. It still has its flaws, but it’s a way underrated sequel and overall GOOD movie
I love the Matrix trilogy. They are exciting, intelligent, moving, spectacular and intimate films at the same time. I remember seeing the first episode at the cinema in 1999 with friends (we were all students at the time). We had a drink after the film, and we were all enthusiastic: the feeling of having seen a really special science fiction film. As for Reloaded, it's very clever how the film unceremoniously destroys everything we thought we had acquired at the end of the first film. I can't wait to see your reaction to the third film.

Merv also hates seraph for protecting her. agent smith hates everyone because he only wants to be, "the 1", with no one left, but himself. despite the chaos, the architect just wants a fully functional program to keep the machines operational... which can never evolve, because of his inflexible programming/personality. matrix 3.1 = neo or nea = weak matrix 3.2 = neo or nea = getting strong matrix 3.3 = neo or nea = stronger matrix 3.4 = neo or nea = more stronger matrix 3.5 = neo or nea = very strong matrix 3.6 = neo = mr. anderson is the strongest & is now able to control machines in the fake & real worlds.

Great reaction! What I love about that fight scene against a bazillion agent Smiths, is Smith's entrance with the crows flying away from him. He looks like he's death-incarnate.
The action in this perfect sequel was ramped up to eleven and the lore was expanded greatly. Right before the 50-Agent-Smith playground battle, the Oracle told Neo about rogue programs. I always assumed Seraph was an angel. The Merovingian didn't just have ghosts in his employ. Monica Belluci said that she was using silver bullets, so there must have been vampires & werewolves too. The Architect was cool, but almost too intelligent for us to understand and that made him a very menacing bad guy. Thanks for sharing your first watch...! 👍🏻
Reloaded is impressive - The VFX was cutting edge and except the burley brawl holds up really well. Also unbelievable they built their own 1.5 mile freeway to shoot that chase sequence.
Yeah. CA Moss also trained extensively for the bike scene so she can perform the sequence herself. Also is it just me or the Wachowskis were super randy during Reloaded? There are a lot of saucy scenes 😂😂😂
I know I'm late to this party but I wanted to point out that the marketing for this movie was genius. For advertisement, they'd never show clips of the movie, instead for the longest time a question kept showing up on the screen simply saying, "what is the matrix" Had everybody going to see the movie just to know what the matrix was lol.

When i saw the Matrix movies back then, The Matrix was literally the trend in the early 2000´s.. And i have the feeling the more people are watching the Matrix movies especially the younger generation like you guys the more likely it is that The Matrix will be redefined with new stories.. The Matrix Resurrection was such a movie, not a good movie in my opinion but it does encourage new stories to be told to make way for new heroes.
Basically what the Architect is saying is that the 1% of humanity that rejected the program of the Matrix are the anomaly, that why Zion was created in first place, is basically The Matrix trash bin, where all the anomalies goes, Neo is only an enhanced anomaly created by the Matrix, a messiah figure, with the purpose of bringing back the source code to the Matrix so it can reboot the system, by every cycle, and then all the anomalies are deleted, you known what happen when you have to much trash on your PC and that affect the performance of the machine, but the Oracle counter the Architect machinations by inserting love in the equation making Neo chose different.
