    OMG! XCARET - YOU HAVE TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!! My family and I had the BEST time - you will not regret it. It's like a Mexican Disneyworld without the rides, lol. But, very organized by sections. Amazing SHOWS! Characters dressed in body paint with amazing costumes, underground river you swim though with crystal clear water, swim with dolphin experience - very affordable. Huge buffet - i think not included. Private beach, real ruins somewhere in there, candlelit sanctuary - very beautiful! Little exhibits everywhere. Lots of Instagram moments!! Not sure a if Cruise excursion will allow you to stay for their 6pm show - about an hour long - amazing 5 star show/concert! (history of Mexico - a tribute) I think you got the point lol. I would go back in a heartbeat!

    Princess now has a reef restoration project that you can do as an excursion it’s like 50$ a person. Maybe what they do on the off season for the turtles but still helps the reef out.
    We may book that to do on our cruise in May this year.

    We LOVE Cozumel!!! Paradise Beach is our go-to place to relax! The pool there is amazing!! We also like that they support the local schools at Paradise Beach with a backpack collection. If you bring a backpack with school supplies you get free entry there. Otherwise it is $3 entry fee and then you are expected to buy $10 in food/drinks there. We also loved going to Mr. Sanchos with the Sharon at Sea group cruise and have also enjoyed Chankanaab for their wonderful manatee encounter as well as for amazing snorkeling there. Thanks for this fun port guide, PDJ!!! ❤️

    I love Cozumel and although I usually book a third-party Excursion or just go to the beach, I always recommend to friends and family that if they have to take a ferry to the mainland in order to see Tulum or xcaret Park do a ships Shore Excursion. Because a late or missed Ferry can really screw up your cruise.

    • @parodeejay
      @parodeejay  4 года назад +2

      Yeah, I'm thinking if a ferry ride is involved, we probably wouldn't book independently on that one... too many risky variables in there!! :P

    Yes the twist boat is out of this world, so cool. Did this on Don's Family Vacations Group Cruise in April. But my favor resort is Mr. Sancho. In Cozmel.

    The twister boat to isla passion is freaking awesome! Did it in 2017 off the valor. Open bar and lunch for like 100$ each or so. Beautiful place. They said that's where they do some corona commercials. Highly recommend it if ya want a private island excursion with free food and alcohol. I mean dude comes to you chair on the beach and brings drinks. The wife and I loved it. The twister ride back is even better, especially if you're buzzing good.

    Ah, Cozumel. This was definitely my favorite out of the Western Caribbean ports for Carnival. My family and I got an tour for cheap through one of the natives on the island. We got to see one of those ruins without having to pay through the cruise ship, and it also included a tour of a tequila farm. Would love to go back here in the future 😌

    Going to Cozumel for the first time in January 2021. You mentioned "tips" a couple of times. How much would you recommend? I know that may be subjective but I have no clue. Thanks and have a glorious day.

    • @parodeejay
      @parodeejay  4 года назад +1

      That's always a hard one, because it's totally optional and subjective. We try to base it on where we've been, how long we were there, how solid the service was, much like you would with tipping back at home.

    Hello! We have 8 going on a cruise in Feb. and we will be going to Cozumel....is there anything that we can walk to from the port of interest besides all the shops? Is there a beach we can get to without taking a bus or taxi? Paradise beach will cost us over $100. because of the taxi/bus then $3. to get in and everyone has to spend $10. min for food and drink...doesn't sound like a lot but it adds up. Thank You for any suggestions and your help! Thank You for the video as well!

    • @parodeejay
      @parodeejay  4 года назад

      No walkable beaches in Cozumel, sadly. It's all very city-like with businesses and whatnot until you get a bit out of town, where all the beach clubs are. The only way we know to get to a beach is to hop a cab, and then Paradise Beach is about the cheapest option around with their $3+$10 deal.

    • @teresacollins1913
      @teresacollins1913 4 года назад

      @@parodeejay Well darn....can we walk downtown? Is it safe to walk around down town?

    • @parodeejay
      @parodeejay  4 года назад

      You can! If you're coming into Carnival's port, you'll be about two miles from the main downtown area, and there's a big store called Mega that a lot of folks love. If you're sailing Royal or most any non-Carnival family line, you'll dock right there in downtown, but from the Carnival area, it's probably still a cab ride away, unless you feel like walking two miles there and two miles back.

    • @parodeejay
      @parodeejay  4 года назад +1

      Heyooo! Royal Caribbean usually docks at the International Pier next door, which we've never been to. So the shopping and the port layout would be different, but the overall Cozumel info should still be relevant, ha ha... :P
