Since all y’all like to travel and hunt different areas, i’d Like to encourage y’all to hunt New York state for both whitetail, black bear, as well as turkey. The fishing is excellent as well. There’s plenty of public land and i think y’all wud be surprised at the body mass on the deer and bears.

Fish and game encourage this type of harvest because it controls the predator population so that other species can thrive. If the bear numbers aren't controlled, they will decimate elk, moose, and deer herds. It is either get hunters to pay for the opportunity or the feds have to pay hired guns to go kill the bears. At the very least the state makes money. I know this is Canada but the facts still apply. Lastly, I would challenge any of you to go to a wild place like Canada or Alaska where the bears aren't used to people. I can almost guarantee u won't see any. They are crafty and have a nose that you wouldn't believe. Good luck hunting one spot and stalk with a bow.

Haida Guy In some places its so thick you can't spot and stalk 😭😭 Bear populations are super high and this is the best way to guarantee you kill a mature boar and you don't kill a sow with cubs! The idea of baiting seems bad but its really not that bad.

Couple hundred yards with a rifle is not fair game, a pack of wolfs up against a fawn is not fair game, bears snatching fish out of a river isn't fair game.
