Arrowed a bear in the font shoulder in Utah this year and followed him for 4 hours and couldn't find him. Luckily he showed up the next day and I was able to finish him off. Nothing sucks more in hunting than screwing up the shot. Anyway, moral of the story is that it probably wouldn't have done any good to keep following the track after that much effort.

Really an awesome story telling. I went in three times now and only this year was able to connect with a chocolate one. Had experienced everything you showed in this story (minus someone else shooting one from under your gaze) - the fog, snow, the rain, the miss. Just have to keep at it. I appreciate knowing I wasn’t alone in all of that. thank you for sharing your story. Enjoyed it.

The governement doesn't want you to know this but you can melt all the snow you want to make water. I literally have 423456 of snow water at home.
