Megadeth - Ashes in your mouth
Megadeth - Tke no prisioners
ashes in your mouth is the most underrated megadeth song.
Take No Shit
Martin Zapata Nice to giving those songs credit, Take No Prisoners’ is RIP’s most badass and fun song. And Ashes is Countdown’s best by far!
Take no shit!
This song has the biggest finger stretch ever, from fret 12th to 24th, Mustaine actually has to use his thumb to maintain this stretch :D Just a fun bit of trivia for you to enjoy
Yepp, *SteveTerreberry* has a video on RUclips called "Top 10 HARDEST Songs to Play with SMALL HANDS!" - #6 is "Headcrusher", #4 is "Tornado of Souls" (Marty's solo, to be specific), and #1 is "Washington Is Next" - a hilarious video! =D
I am playing it without thumb from 12 to 22
@@GenMVeers
The Tornado of Souls solo stretch is just stupid.
My friend hates to play that song, because he knows how to do it, but has to cheat during the solo, because he can't pull off the stretch :D
@@11DNA11 yeah it sucks. Honestly, i just learned it 4 days ago and its not up to speed yet, but my left wrist is hurting after that like hell
@@blaketaylor4763
There's plenty of stuff like that with Megadeth :)
Try playing My Last Words on bass. That one lick 7-5 7-5 8-5 is just murder on your arm.
Megadeth-Kick The chair
Megadeth-Dystopia
Dave Mustaine is one of The most Interesting Persons in The Metal World
Kick the Chair is an absolutely excellent track.
This whole album is underrated to me. I still play it a lot! The riffs are awesome. 🤘
To me this album is like a Rust in Peace part II album. Fast paced and crazy riffing and soloing
john Criminally underrated album. I couldn’t agree more.
Megadeth - Never Walk Alone from same album. it's straight up talking about walking with Christ.
Yes this
Yes.
Megadeth - Lucretia , Angry Again , Wake Up Dead , Skin of my teeth , Sweating Bullets , Symphony of destruction
Angry Again!
Skin O' My Teeth!
Rattlehead!
My Last Words!
Liar!
Mary Jane!
Hook In Mouth!
dEBA Maisnam ... LIKE A CAT...WAITING...LUCRETIA ROCKS AWAY...HEY!!!😁🤘
9:52 - I'm pretty sure you're no longer half disagreeing in 2020 with what he had to say. Dave Mustaine is a prophet.
Lol… and even more in 2022
Yeah but they are the types that supported Bernie...
Dave is a genius, this song hits harder now
Now look at 2024...
The most underrated Megadeth song. Hey, if I may recommend a song: Vektor-Collapse or Mastodon-Crack the Skye
More Mastodon 🤘🏻
One of my favorite Megadeth songs
Qué haces aquí KC Deportes, también amas a Megadeth ?
Collapse is a must. I still would like them to do Forests of Legend first from Vektor, but Collapse is a great option and was probably number 3 on my list. Its so different.
I think I'd throw Tetrastructural Minds at 'em first before Collapse.
It's more indicative of their sound as a whole.
Megadeth - Good Mourning/Black Friday
Megadeth - Looking Down The Cross
SPEAK NO EVIL.
Paint the Devil in the wall!
🤘RattleHead🤘 DUDE WTF. I literally just commented those two songs and then read your comment lol. We really are in sync XD
@@Walamonga1313 think so mate, can't go wrong with those songs
This
Something to keep in mind is that this was released in 2007. This album is probably my favorite Megadeth album (either this or Endgame). Sleepwalker, Burnt Ice, United Abominations, all great songs from the album.
How can this or Endgame be your fav Megadeth album ??? Have you listened to Rust in Peace or Countdown to Extinction ?
Brios Yes. Countdown was the first album I ever owned. It’s damn good, but kind of tame. Ashes in Your Mouth is my favorite Megadeth song. And Rust in Peace is what I call the standard for excellence with thrash metal. Favorite album doesn’t equal technical best; it’s what you enjoy the most. United and Endgame era Megadeth is more experienced and mature, and it shows in the song writing structure. Dave’s voice settled into what he sounds most comfortable with. I just enjoy those albums.
But I’m glad you like Countdown and Rust.
Favourite album? You're on crack haha.
Now this is a prophetic song..."the future prove the past"
End of days Prophecy. Dave Mustaine is a Christian and is well studied in Revelation. It may be wrong in his interpretation, but at least he acknowledges it.
Good review and talk Vin and Sori.
Keep on the good work and waiting for the fireside channel.
Vin and Sori look into Megadeth- head crusher.
This is a great Megadeth song. Biblical references are clear, i'm not Bible expert but book of Daniel came to my mind about these lyrics. Statue prophecy, seven kingdoms and eight that is yet to come, 'king of north' etc etc. Intresting stuff even for agnostic like me. Anyway, the song is good ol' Megadeth. Would be nice to see 'Dystopia' or 'Kick The Chair' in your channel!
Yes
Great song but the lyrics are NWO - conspiracy fueled nonsense imo. The 3rd solo by Broderick is flipping amazing though. My favourite Megadeth album.
Are you crazy?? It's up there with not only the worst stuff they've released, but it's up there with worst metal ever to get incased in plastic...it's awful..+ I'm a massive Deth fan..with the exception of the solos, a cheesy weak effort from Dave...I don't know any fans into this album atall..a real low point on the Deth timeline...did I mention I don't like it? 🤣✌🏼🤘🏼
Risk, World Needs A Hero and Super Collider are low points in Megadeth's career imo :D
@@Flatallica Haha, no accounting for taste.
I love how the most straightforward of songs can put confused looks on their faces.
Megadeth - Burnt Ice, Lying in State, Symphony of Destruction, Sweating Bullets and Youthanasia
Annuit Coeptis - "[God] favors our undertakings". One of the two mottos found on the back side of a dollar bill.
Lying In State is so damn good it's not funny I've been suggesting it to people for awhile now. But Fatal Illusion is even better.
“This calls for a mind with wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated; they are also seven kings, five of whom have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, and when he does come he must remain only a little while. As for the beast that was and is not, it is an eighth but it belongs to the seven, and it goes to destruction”
Nice! Thanks :)
This song is sooo underrated! I love this song! Its one of the best from the Megadeth returns era!
Call it deep thoughts with Vin and Sori!
Keep doing megadeth you guys rock!
You know Vin is loving every bit of this song he's gushing
The beast has already taken over
Megadeth: FIVE MAGICS, TAKE NO PRISONERS
can we make weekly megadeth rections a thing please? there are so many classics you haven't heard yet. lucretia, poison was the cure, five magics, ashes in your mouth, architecture of aggression, the conjuring(hint hint, christians react to the conjuring clickbait title) and so many more:)
I was hoping there would be no more meh-gadeth to be honest
Sweating Bullets too! Such a brilliant writing
I like vin and sori but I cant believe all the old metal they dont know about. I was listening to all the classics when I was a teenager but I think I was an old soul.
nice bait.
Come on. There are TONS of classic Megadeth stuff reactions out there. TONS...
Let people become more exposed to modern Megadeth Gems. Everyone on the planet already knows about RIP and CoE albums.
If you’re reviewing this song you have to do Megadeth’s “Amerikhastan”.
Hayden Rackley Or United Abominations. Or Endgame.
powerful references powerful lyrics!
This was a great album!
Vinand Sori I sent you an email last night🤘🔥
"We've only just begun, Conversations with Vin&Sori"
Your firesides need fire! How about some candles? :-) Anyway, good luck with the new channel.
Megadeth reactions are the best 🤘
Dude....your rosario looks reaaaally cool!!!
Great Song and a great album
MEGADETH - ASHES IN YOUR MOUTH.
My favorite Megadeth song along with Hangar 18 and Holy Wars
Now let’s get some Testament! “Trial By Fire”, “Burnt Offerings” or “The New Order”
Always a good morning when Megadeth is involved! Another one you should check out is Post American World! Such a sick song... also Whitechapel haha
Megadeth- Wake Up Dead \../
Good Mourning/Black Friday damnit! Best Megadeth song ever. Or Looking Down The Cross, it would be interesting to see what they take away from that song (particularly the lyrics)
Walamonga 1313, totally agree, requsted these 2 songs on here for ages, surprised other Megadeth songs have been done, not sure whos been requesting them, but Good Mourning/Black Friday & Looking Down The Cross i think have been requested more than any other Megadeth song on this chanel
Iced Earth - Dracula
Iced Earth - Travel in Stygian
In Flames - December Flower
Paradise Lost - Hallowed Land
Dismember - of fire - live
Any of these songs would be awsome to see your reaction to!
Great stuff from you! Keep doing it! :)
Of Fire - Dismember!!! (Maiden/Death)
Tragedy Of The Faithful - Dismember
Iced earth plagues of babylon
New channel name, village vibes
Thanks for reacting to this one guys, of of my favourite Megadeth albums, would also be cool to hear the song SLEEPWALKER from the same album
I really like what your doing here, songs hidden in the album some of them are the best. You guys do For the greater good of God - Iron Maiden thats a jewel.
helloween- keeper of the seven keys
megadeth- good mourning/black friday
@Vinandsori call it beyond the breakdown with vin and sori
You should recap this reaction. Because this song is 100 times more relevant now than three years ago.
Megadeth - Looking Down The Cross
Pós pandemia do vírus chines transformou essa letra de música em uma profecia cumprida.
At its most basic, the song can be summed up with the old adage "All empires must fall". Dave is singing about how there have been many empires throughout history that have fallen, and that the US (Washington) is next. His reasoning why this is going to happen is relatively cryptic and pretty open to interpretation, maybe aside from the very direct "They're attacking the church and the family" kind of lines.
Thanks! And ps: More Amorphis!!
Never walk alone? Great discussion 🙏
His talking about the Illuminati guys
United Abominations might just be my favorite Megadeth album. Heavy as hell, riffs for days, little to no Republican Dave Mustaine rambling, and it has Burnt Ice on it. Awesome album!
PS, you guys should react to Burnt Ice. The last minute is literally breath taking.
That's a good idea for the fireside which should be treated like a podcast since it's mostly commentary on questions and issues and should be able to be monetized, and it should have a set schedule , I keep missing them.
All good points
Excited for the new channel, let us know
*WASP* "Goodbye America" raises some EXCELLENT points. Not so much that there will not be around in the future, but that the America we know has changed.
This song was not only great, but quite honest too
Song is so good. Album is so good! Can't mess with Dave's lyrical writing!
Dissection - The Somberlain
Watain - Devil's Blood / Sworn to the Dark
The Devil's Blood - She
keep on posting em, untill they do it =)-..
I'm behind you for Dissection!
Ok Vin,
I'm interesred in your reading list...besides the Bible, which I'm already reading there are alot of philosophies you touch upon and I'm interested in learning more
GREAT SONG.
Bathory - Oden's Ride Over Nordland/A Fine Day to Die
IMPORTANT: don't go for the video with HQ in the title (it's a lie!), watch the most viewed one instead, it’s better!! It's about time, you guysss
Check out Megadeth''s song Post American World from their album Dystopia.
Great song.
I think that the biggest flaw in the war on drugs is the incarceration of drug users... they need rehab, like you said... I fully support jailing drug dealers and manufacturers, but not users.
It's kinda like jailing Johns and Prostitutes, don't punish the victims, punish the pimps and human traffickers.
Krust bag and who floats the bill? I agree that jailing addicts doesn’t do much good, and that in itself costs money. But why should tax payers pay for addicted recovery when a) taking drugs at some point was a choice b) few go to recovery just once
@@bomblade15 oh I never said the tax payer should pay for it...
The judge can mandate it as needed (read in lei of jail for a misdemeanor), and they can either pay it, or do community service to pay back the tax payer.
I mean in most cases, the user wouldn't even be in front of a judge unless they broke a law (assuming we stopped arresting people for using drugs).
there are many Christian groups offering rehab like programs for free all over the USA and Canada, the trick is getting the addict to WANT to be clean.
As far as prostitution I agree that the prostitutes are often as not victins as they are iften forced into it at a very young age but imho the johns are as bad as the pimps
@@seanhowie341 the johns are addicts man, punishing a john is like punishing someone for shooting heroine.
to clarify, we are not talking about the rich guy paying 5-6 digits to an escort... we are talking about the guy paying $100 to the meth'ed out girl on the street corner.
@@bomblade15 if you think it is a free choice, you know nothing about how drug addiction works. You should read up before making such ignorant statements.
2021 says hello.
Dudes! HELLOWEEN - KEEPER OF THE SEVEN KEYS 🎃🎃🎃
Support returned 👍 😃
yes!

great take
do part 2 they already did part 1
Annuit Coeptus literally translated is saying "God approves of this undertaking." Annuit, or annuo, means to nod or to approve. Coeptus is an undetaking or commencement.
I find it funny how I thought every time Sori says "I'm Sori", she sounds like a Canadian saying "I'm sorry" and the captions came up as "I'm sorry" lol
Fucking Harmony indeed.
Great song. I didn't love this album but it had a few really really good songs on it. Another great one I loved was "Burnt Ice". Another song that was pretty straightforward with its lyrical content but features Dave at his absolute shreddiest. This album was after Mustaine was...born again (not sure if thats the correct term). But basically as a result of getting clean and everything Dave had become a very devout Christian. It doesn't show up in his music overmuch, but he will sometimes use that religious knowledge to bolster whatever theme he is currently writing/singing about.
Its interesting Vin that you believe the world will get progressively better, since that sort of contradicts the idea of Original Sin. At least somewhat. I'm with you, I feel things will get progressively better. But I'm kinda suprised you think that. Dave's ideas as a Christian have changed over time as well. In a recent interview he said he has softened on some of the hardline christian thoughts. I mean at one point he would not play shows with black metal bands. Which lead to a public issue with a certain death metal band that ended up getting tossed off a bill as a result (it was at a festival). Dave had said that was never his intent (and I do believe him on that) but I think it made him look at some of his more extreme views. Not sure where he falls on some of the other political stuff. One would think he would be a fan of Trump but I actually seem to recall him speaking out against him. Regardless Dave is a very very very opinionated man. Some people think he's an asshole, which is perhaps true but I respect that he at least speaks his mind. Even if I think he should sometimes keep his mouth shut.
Your Metallica clones, (eyeroll) Testament, did an album called The New Order which also talks about some of the themes you mention here. Interestingly one of the songs is called The Preacher. Its actually by far my favorite Testament album and is one of those rare metal albums that literally has no bad song on it and features a few classic songs from them to boot (Into the Pit, The New Order, Trial by Fire, Disciples of the Watch, A Day of Reckoning).
My understanding (from that lovely catholic schooling) was that the 7th would usher in the rule of the antichrist and thus the end of the world. So the 7th would be a terrible, tyrannical ruler who's reign would open the door for the 8th king, the antichrist.
Teachers don't have an agenda. I Have several friends who are teachers (across various ages). However the schools definitely have agendas and moreover and more importantly the school's focus isn't on what it should be. Its on "making their numbers" not on quality of education. That said, I'm not a huge fan of home schooling because I feel it can isolate children. Might be a good topic for a fireside some time.
I get that you guys dislike Planned Parenthood, but don't you think its far more logical to talk about the reality of sex (yes its good, but it also has potential consquences). Kids are going to have sex, its a biological fact when you have kids trying to figure out their hormones and urges at a young age. Current sex ed preaches Abstinence just as much as safe sex. They hand out condoms, which is just being smart. If these kids are going to have sex, at least they should do it safely. Not talking about the basics of sex and being up front and honest about it just increases the chances that kids are going to look elsewhere to try and understand what is happening to them. Most aren't going to want to talk to their parents about that so our great and lovely internet comes in and of course then you wind up with kids looking at porn and thinking thats how sex actually works. I dunno about you but those planned parenthood pamphlets look alot less terrifying in the face of the alternative.
Great point about guns and morality. I think that has a large role in things. I was bullied in school. I didn't shoot anyone, I never though about shooting anyone. I know how to use a gun of course but I don't even own one. But I think its begun to snowball. Kids craving attention see that shooting up a school that makes them miserable gets them tons of attention. But they haven't been installed with the morality to understand that what they are doing is incredibly evil. And ever year it seems this is snowballing, and I think its a failure not just in terms of gun control but more in terms of how these kids are being taught. You mean to tell me that if a kid really understands the value of a human life, no matter how trapped he feels, that he would go on a killing rampage? I just don't think so.
As far as legalizing drugs. You guys really need to watch The Wire to understand the reasoning behind that. And the show doesn't say thats the answer but it does present that solution in one season and the result is interesting, but I would say that there is some logic in it. Does it present more problems that solutions, thats the real question. I don't think you should so easily dismiss that idea though. Certainly legalizing pot makes all the sense in the world though. When you talk about more addictive drugs like heroic, coke and meth...thats a really complicated and in depth topic.
Holy shit, this was a long post, alot to talk about in this reaction.
Normally I would request Wintersun-Loneliness (Winter) here but since its been on the short list for like 2 months, I'm gonna just ride the ride of others in the comments section and suggest

PLISS -IF ETERNITY SHOULD FAIL- IRON MAIDEN!!!!
The song follows the theme of the album that introduced a character in the story. You can take it literally or figuratively but Dave has a knack for writing evocative and provocative lyrics that promote discussion. It's true that he became Christian and wanted to add parts of religion in his music but it really doesn't matter how people take it when they hear it, he's said so himself. Good review guys, I've not seen another dissection of Megadeath so in depth like yours.🤘
dave was a lot more lucid back when he was a crackhead
When are you guys going to do Sweating Bullets by Megadeth?
Where? If they do, it will probably be on here
