I tried to hit a middle ground between roleplay and gameplay for this video concept, so hopefully I pulled it off and you enjoy it!! And if you do, lmk which class you'd like to see next!
I'd love to see a "All jack of all trades" run where every party member multiclasses into a different class every level. In the scope of Act 1, you could have a whole party encompassing every class by level 3.
A Run with 4 Wild Magic Sorcs coul be really funny and very chaotic.

What happened is that when the goblins attacked, the druids decided to close the grove and get rid of the Tieflings, whom they consider endanger them constantly.
If you go down near the prison cell, you can encounter that fight between druids and Tieflings, Nettie and Khaga (nice loot) are there, all of them transforming into bears of you go there and decide to defend the Tieflings.
The druids are a hard fight...
( same happens if you steal the Sylvanus Idole, did it by "mistake" in EA)...
Also, Arabella gets... interesting in Act 2, so better keep her alive, same for Alfira maybe in Baldur's Gate?
Halsin would forgive you though, putting it on Khaga..and himself for giving her the position.
yeah I agree with the reloading.. clearly them getting upset over you 'looting' the foes you killed is annoying. But maybe you can try looting the bodies after the 'mission' is over or maybe try keeping one mook goblin alive and just looting the bodies before ending the fight.

After watching a video of 4 gnome barbarians with no commentary earlier, I came into this expecting something similar for some reason. Having character reasoning and RP and a nice narration to listen to is a great change of pace that I adore. Subbed for sure.

Backstory:
Pinky decided to make a deal with a demon to gain immense power, however every demon was busy and so she was sent to the waiting room
While in the waiting room she met 3 other people who were also there to make deals
They were friends ever since
Since both the camp going hostile on you, and alfira dying were due to bad game code and NOT the result of your actions, (looting the drow counting as stealing even though she's a hostile creature, and alfira dying when zevlor was killed) you should be allowed to reload and have a chance to redo that.
Firstly, I applaud your ingenuity with the fights, and your commitment to roleplaying these characters. Secondly, I think it's totally okay to load a previous save when the game breaks and saddles you with unfair consequences you couldn't possibly have predicted.
Honestly this just makes me want to see the inverse of this like a full party of evil wizards just to see what ridiculous level of cheese is here especially on more morally questionable levels
Playing Warlock left me craving some AoE spells... Reginald might multiclass wizard if Pinky hands over the intelligence headband.

Reload, then use Shift to make sure that no one actually sees you looting the corpses, and avoid trouble that way.
Not everyone likes being a savescummer, you wouldn't be able to in a real table, why should you in the game?

It isn't savescumming if it's due to a bug.
They shouldn't have been able to see him looting the bodies in the first place.
They wouldn't have done anything about it if they had, he just saved their life.
And finally, the main reason for the reload is literally a bug involving Zevlor.
@@C00kiesAplenty Yeah, even If someone helped me kill some goblins that were trying to invade my settlement, i'd be pretty pissed If they tried to loot my dead friend, this happens because he tried to loot a Friendly NPC that died, not because of a bug, and reloading because you got caught comitting a crime is the DEFINITION OF savescumming

You would be pissed, you wouldn't try to kill them. And given the fire and explosions that happened you could easily argue that you didnt recognise which body was friend or foe. He didn't reload because he got caught stealing, its because that bard lady (along with all the tiefling kids) died when he killed Zevlor. WHICH IS A BUG.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if you made an entire series out of this, wherein you choose different concepts (Like all bards, all wizards, all barbarians, all druids, etc) and roleplayed with them!

The plan was if people liked it I would do the same concept with each class, or at least a lot of them. I’m trying to post a bunch of different concept of videos right now so I can see what people like about each of them and lean into it more!

It doesn't even need to be Hirelings. You can just reset the premade characters with Withers for 100g each, it resets their basic class and you can adjust their stats and spells accordingly. They have some interesting special interactions for being different classes than normal too.
I wanted this run to have no spoilers since my other video had kind of a lot of spoilers, so I went with no origin characters in my party
Yes you can do that, but this doesn't work if you want to make them into warlocks. Respeccing into Warlock causes a bug and as you gain higher level spells, lower level spells slots will become unavailable. So at level 6 or 7, you'll only have 2 lvl 4 spell slots available - and nothing else. Hope they fix that.

@@Kxadd But the two spell slots are a feature, though. It's a kind of nerfing system because warlocks can fully refill their spell slots with short rests, paired with their damage mostly coming from Elder Blast (which is OP with the right feats). On the other side, sorcerers and wizards can't refill their slots on short rests, but instead they get a bunch of spell slots with coresponding levels instead.
@@Kxadd They always cast their spells at the highest available level but refresh on short rests, Its your spellcasting mechanism
Fun fact about the skellies right outside withers' sarcophagus, You can actually run around and loot all (I think) of their weapons before they revive, which I thought was hilarious but I didn't manage to loot them all before going for the back room so I had to continue the fight once my friends arrived to help, but it made it so much easier
Ah, good to know Zevlor dying triggers mass-death in the grove. Something similar happens in Act 2 if you complete Shadowhearts quest-thing there before going to Moonrise; it auto-kills a bunch of NPCs. Not my fave, so yeah, heads-up.
Definitely keep up the play-through. Give Jack another chance at happiness, and if his bard-crush dies later (again) you can play it as he had a prophetic nightmare about her.
It's ok, they kind of deserve it anyways. Who dares cast brambles on my main character? They're lucky Damon was with them
@@Dorumin Dammon is the only reason they're alive in my playthrough too. After Jaheira decided that I shouldn't even have a say in what happens, she attacked me and I ended up killing them all. Had to reload for Dammon.
@@shine6465 In my playthrough I did reload, however I still killed everyone else and knocked out Dammon. Long rested and did a speech check to make sure he was ok and he fixed Karlach up :D
In my tactician run I'm going to spare them, though I'm gonna kill nightsong and let shadowheart become edgelord supreme

man i love how you described everything and even had little stories for the custom characters as they went by, it's all so nicely edited that it's a breeze to watch
This level of role play makes me feel like I’m playing the game wrong. You’ve given me inspiration sir, that’s a sub for sure
As someone who has played a good amount of warlock in 5e, you did very well on parry composition with the limited subclass options. You could have your tank take a two point dip into fighter for heavy armor and action surge too.
Not being able to loot the bodies of the enemies that attacked a settlement because that counts as stealing from the settlement sounds like a Bethesda moment
Weren't they allies corpses, I've never had problems with enemy corpses
@@mcm203I've had it happen with enemies as well. But usually I just mess up and it's indeed a dead ally (sometimes they just warn you first as well)
if you go into turn mode you freeze eveyone in place and can steal anything without getting caught :)
@@mcm203 No... if neutral members kill enemies during your combat then looting those bodies becomes stealing.

Very entertaining and enjoyable video. Some really funny moments and also some wonderful "outside of the box" solutions to combat. While I am only mid way through act 2 myself, your video has given me reason to want to replay all over again once I'm finished. Subscribed in hope to see more of your 4 warlock team adventures. Oh and I say just go with leaving Alfira deceased... I reckon a revenge driven Jack would make for an interesting side story.
Just as a quick note: THey fixed the fact that you could summon multiple mage hands. Now when you summon another one your first despawns.
The mix of gameplay and roleplay was perfect and such a fun watch!!! :D
This was entertaining. I haven't even grasped the full concept of doing what you just did in my playthrough of BG3 so I commend you for doing all of this.

Yeah I lost my cool big time. I just can’t believe it happened twice, when both times nobody was actually there to witness it.
Same exact crap happened to me, but the kids lived. I sent the girl home to her parents but was very annoyed with the attitudes of these Druids. Then the "leader" talks down to me because I'm Drow and gets that wrong too. I had enough of Gale telling me to put my weapon away and she died right there on the spot. Wasn't much for me to fight after that, the Tieflings outside pretty much mopped up the rest of the Druids with a few casualties. I kept getting warnings about looting the bodies so I just went stealth, and knocked out anyone I needed to so I could loot bodies. I'm omw to stop the Goblins now but got sidetracked in a spider's lair.
I absolutely love how you make a story out of your BG3 videos. That's what D&D is all about... stories to remember.
Insane role play, this was so entertaining to watch.
I even envy of how much creative and at the same time effective you are in this walkthrough, perfectly aligning the knowledge about party building.
I am new to classic RPGs, having fun with this game, but can't pull most of what I would want to, feeling kinda bruteforcing the game.
The agro from friendlies for 'stealing' is crazy, ive had the grove accuse me of stealing when i didn't even steal anything. Oh and they accused me when i was 100M away from them, stealthed and invisible. Seems to be bugged.

Oh shit me and two friends did the same thing, one of us is a warlock/fighter, one is sorlock, one is a warlock/rogue. Been lots of fun! We call ourselves the 'Pact Tactics' and make every npc have at least one warlock level lol
Reload, don't kill zevlor, wait to loot until tieflings gone
Maybe I'll just do a little looting...
But also, the only save I did after that fight was after Zevlor & friends were chasing Pinky. But I can still escape or let them kill Pinky and they'll be friendly again.

@@Fracture.Gaming If you do, couch first. Being in stealth will just help make sure they do not actually see you.
as for me. Jack had a cruel childhood so Alfira's death should be something for him that will turn him on the dark side and start hurting others and putting himself in the shoes of the guy who used to hurt him.
Thanks for a very enjoyable video! I love the mix between strategy and backstory to your characters, you are a very good story teller! This is how this game should be presented! I would love to see how this story unfolds.

This is a video every new baldurs gate or turn based rpg in general should watch. This is literally THE best combat tutorial video even though that’s not what it is. Setting up traps out of whatever you can and picking up things like barrels in your inventory to use later to make barricades is the name of the game lol. Hell, I never even would have thought of the nautilid tanks until seeing this.
I love this video! Please continue this series! I am torn... part of me wants you to go back and not kill Zevlor... but... it does make for tasty storytelling for Jack's story...
Fun fact, you can look the skeleton corpses, and doing so will remove their weapons, which is really useful on the melee skeleton as he'll be limited to doing only 1 damage
First off, loved the video as not only as a dnd play but as a dm as well for the rp reasons for each character. Haven't really seen anyone purposefully split groups like this for in character reasons so this is a very nice change of pace so you got a sub from me. Secondly yeah jack deserves to stay with his love, fate made an oopsy and needs to rewind like in most of the sessions I dm lol. Anyway keep up the amazing work and can't wait to see what you have instore for us.

I feel like in cases like this, where game mechanics do weird stuff like not letting you loot the raiding party you killed, you should be allowed to reload the save, as it doesn’t violate the integrity of the game since your character shouldn’t have been in that situation to begin with:

fam I was unironically tempted to do this. Not even as a challenge. - fiend pact plus false life means everyone gets a steady supply of temporary hit points, every short spell refills everyone's HP, can make a pact of the blade tank and three pact of the chain damage dealers with supporting imps, take high damage AOE spells and stuff like Hold Person, use mainly scrolls and items for utility spells like Knock or Misty Step... like it sounds unironically good.
I'm so happy that this game will allow for a whole new era of meme strats and videos ❤ I'm hoping to do a bard run someday where my MC recruits the origin characters into a band which then causes them to also respec bard 😂

This is my favorite game rn! I love what you can do in it and how you can either be playful or super serious aswell! I have encountered a lot of weird bugs like dialogue options not showing up or npcs instantly attacking with double triggering in a party but even with those things being annoying sometimes and newrly run ending, this has been by far the most fun ive had in a game in a while!!! I just save newrly every room now😂
I mean, warlock is so customisable that you can play four warlocks and they will be different enough from one another.
One can pick all the social invocations (proficiency in deception etc) and disguise self and be party's face. Another can pick pact of the blade and be a pseudo-paladin with hex and smite. Third one can pick something like "thief of five fates" and debuff enemies with Bane, etc.
Playing a warlock is a bit like playing cleric, in a sense that it kinda tells your DM that you picked something but until finer details would become visible, you basically picked a dark horse.
This is the best channel for BG3 runs. Everything about your videos is brilliant.

Jack becomes a bard that writes sad power ballads about alfira and has a dark character arc.
Either way, great video and i am keen to see more
2:57 before those undead comes alive, you can loot their items thus depriving them of their weapons
this makes the warrior one use fist which is significantly weaker than a blade,
but the scribes will still use magic but once you close the gap their melee will be weaker than the warrior
(this is just a tip to deal with undeads that was laying on the ground before the fight starts)
(I just realized something, we can pickpocket npc's that mean we can take their weapon, which means 1 person can start a dialogue then another can sneak then pickpocket them before the fight starts thus reducing their combat effectiveness if they're archer/melee type enemies, silenced spell can be a counter for mages but that means you need to be real close to them so when they try to run out of the silenced zone. You smack them from behind)
I haven’t tried it, but is reverse pickpocketing in BG3? I was wondering if I could encumber an enemy by dumping a bunch of shit on them so they can’t move…
Another thing don’t know how many discovered this, but you can poison the grog at the goblin camp, pop a invisibility potion take the wyvern poison you get from the druids and put it into their drink go away for a little while, and come back to bunch of dead goblins

Tbh I think a Warlock heavy party might be closed to optimized for crushing Tactician. 3 level3 Warlocks with Devilsight is 6 Darkness casts per Short Rest. Any of which prevent enemies from casting spells into them, and heavily favor us for fighting in them. After that multiclassing is fine. Paladin2+/Warlock3? Sure. Bard2+/Warlock3? A 3rd short rest! Githyanki Warlock5 for Medium armor Pact of the Blade and Astral Knowledge for prof in all Cha skills? Suuuuuure.

this was pretty nice, and being a dmg munchkin and a coward it was pretty nice to see a team of wildly different warlocks, although it would've been funny if all of them took repelling blast and everything got yeeted into the abyss

My friends and I just hit act 3 over the weekend with an all warlock squad. 2 fiends, 1 old gods, and 1 archfey. Two pact of tomes, 1 blade, and 1 chains. Made our blade lock into a 23 AC monster with advantage on all saving throws and uncritable. While the rest of us had summons for days paired with an imp who had a propensity for getting caught in friendly AoEs. Its been an total "Blast".
You couldn’t get hirelings because you need to have recruited at least 1 companion first, just find one, grab them and drop them at the camp or kill them

@@Fracture.Gaming did you know you actually don’t have to go get wither either, he’ll just show up at your camp if you bum rush the goblin camp, which is easier than clearing the ruins solo, because you don’t have to fight anything if you pass the true soul checks
As someone who was wanting to do a full warlock run for fun, this was awesome to watch, especially since you tried to make them all unique and give them some roleplay.
I do think its total bull you were accused of stealing your rightful loot tho. Id personally reload and if its not possible to loot them, redo the fight, but that wouldnt work well for the video if you plan on making a sequel.
It’s so much worse. I redid the entire fight and didn’t loot anything and the same thing happened. It’s just super bugged on my save file I guess. I did get everything cleared up though, I just had to flee the combat after they tried to kill me.

Gonna be interesting having 4 squishy glass cannons with spell slot anemia though. I think I'll have to custom character a gith in, and respec lazael into a warlock as well and have us be frontliners to draw attention away from the backline. Gith make insanely good spellcasters thanks to their armor proficiency and free casts of mage hand and misty step, so it should be interesting to see how it pans out.
I'm probably gonna have both backliners multiclass into sorc to get twincast haste on the whole party, because one can never have too much Eldritch blast.

Fracture: Anyway, I started (eldritch) blasting.
Actually the first time I played the game through I did something very similar. I subclassed everyone to level 4 warlock. This is solely to get the Devil sight skill at level 2, which allows for each character to never be blinded, and the "Darkness" spell that creates a large fog area that magically blinds all people inside it, no saving rolls either. Since your party cannot be blinded this allows all party members to have advantage to all enemies within the fog, and all enemies to have disadvantage within the fog. It creates a constant safe space for allies, and making everyone able to cast it is hugely helpful
I came for the fun monoclass party comp and stayed for the well executed role play and story telling.
26:05 - because it's the game of the year, not even that, it's the game of the decade! If there was a nomination for the SCRIPT OF THE YEAR, then BG3 could successfully compete with Resident Evil, and the most amazing thing is that nothing affects anything in a role-playing game, skills are easily compensated by consumables, and there are even things that give +17 to a specific characteristic, moreover not just one stat, but many others, such as Str/Dex/Int/Con and even the giant's elixir have +20 Str before a long rest.
Thanks to the author of the channel for optimism, he found a way to have fun in this broken game, he gave me a smile.
As a victim of the World War bug, I say you definitely deserve a reload for this compelling tale
I accepted mine though since that character was based off an evil DND character of mine known for causing 3 continental wars within 2 years.
Loved this video, would really enjoy seeing a series about it! I think Jack needs to learn that sometimes love can't always thrive... But perhaps he can carry on with some bard levels to honor Alfira.

As for your end question, I think you should reload because I don't think the game was supposed to give you that outcome. Also Jack would thank you.

I’m doing a play through on tactician with 1 full warlock, and 3 multi class warlocks ( fighter with pact of the blade, rogue, and cleric warlock multi classes). All have devils sight, it’s ridiculously fun and devastating. It’s challenging getting started, but by level 4-5 they really start to come online. I’m wiping the floor with them, and haven’t died yet. Loving the play through, and highly recommend it for tactician, possibly for honour mode too!
Warlock definitely feels pretty good in the game to me, Eldritch blast is definitely the best damaging cantrip imo, especially a lvl 2 warlock who can make its own charisma modifier additive to its damage, knockback is really nice, being 10 feet away and blasting people into chasms is my pastime. Super versatile especially if you pair some of the skills with sorcerer, having charisma as your primary casting modifier is super nice too because you pretty much cruise through social interactions. Probably, if I’m being honest with myself, my favorite class.

Haha yeah I am planning on doing it for more classes than just Warlocks. Possibly all the classes but we'll see. It'll literally take me years to do all of them if that's what ends up happening... but that sounds fine to me
Everyone talks about the machine gun warlock, but nobody talks about the perfect stealth rogue warlock. Just stay in stealth and you can blast eldritch blast as many times as you need until everything is dead 🤣
Dear Larian and modders! Please give us an option to disable the camera snapping and auto zooming out when making a ranged action in combat, and to disable the camera jumping to a character when I press F1 - F4. It should only jump to them when I double press it. Thank you!
Rewind, the whole stealing thing is a bug that Larion still hasn't been able to squash and you looting their corpses should not be a crime in the eyes of the druids, considering the "owners" of those corpses are the goblin camp faction.
The issue with the looting is probably that you looted the body of one of the tieflings who died in the battle, and they're associated with the grove settlement in the game's code so taking from their corpse is considered stealing (Where, say, when you defeat the goblins, it should flag the goblin faction as no longer active, taking items from their corpses is no longer considered theft.)
4:43 Wither's doesn't offer you hirelings until you reach total level three (I had a split class 2/1, but a true level 3 clearly also works). The hirelings offered, I think, are based on how you answer the question in the tomb.
In an actual D&D game we ran did the Baldurs Gate: Descent into Avernus campaign and 3 out of 4 of us picked Warlock, 2 of the 3 even picked the same subclass

Jack should play the lute and fill it with the power of his love so hard that the music itself turns back time to before they decided that you stealing is a crime that outweighs you just saving them. with the power of love anythign is possible.
Power of love didn't work out for Grukkoh and his lover "Butters" though...
@@Fracture.Gaming you fail to see the real truth. Jack's love must have been even greater than whatever the heck those two were doing that let him him win the fight. Jakcs love overcame theirs.
I love this format, with mix of rp and gameplay! very entertaining and shows off your creativity on both departments. Now i'm invested with the little story of these characters too xd
