I'm also playing a Lolth-Sworn Drow Warlock too (GOO) but with a few levels of Vengeance Paladin, though that's in multiplayer with my partner (he's playing a certain tiefling Origin character.) Nice to see you play and enjoy this game. The experience is probably a bit different for me since I am a huge D&D nerd and have played and loved Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 when they came out. I know a few people who don't like the turn-based combat saying the fights are boring and take too long. While I can understand where they are coming from it is exactly the opposite for me. It feels like a fight in a D&D session and since it has been literally decades since I had a chance to actually play D&D myself this really scratches an itch for me. I hope you keep having fun with this.
I'm so glad someone else saw the long braid hairstyle and immediately thought of "Legend of the Seeker" too XD. It is such a Mord-sith style! Only that far in but had to comment, so few people have seen that show, but it's one of those that's super enjoyable regardless of how you feel about the books!
Giirrllll. I am so glad to see another female doing the same thing.... having bg3 control their lives! I started playing the day it came out and I currently have about 4 characters in various stages of playthrough. Lol. I'm making a lolth sworn drow today so I stopped by to see how your build is going. Anyway, enjoy! Ty for your content! (Marie)
Yay. I also made a drow but the other subclass. Also i wanna play like you but i can't help save scumming haha. But one day i'll do a no quicksave playthrough
Finally, a drow!! Idk much about baldurs gate, only played dnd twice, but read like 14 of the books including the dark elf trilogy. So, its drow for me all the way.
as im obsessed with orcs in every game my first character was a halforc warlock, but at arround level 2-3 i wasnt happy with how my character turned out(dont ask me why but it really bothered me that i had so much mele buffs from half orc, while i was a sleppslinging warlock.. so i rerolled and made a halfling warlock/bard with currently 16dex and19chr(soon to be 20) at level4! still act one. to be honest im really happy that i rerolled my character too, since i never played a baldursgate before and have almost no idea about dnd. so i now have in my eyes the perfect stats for my build and how i want to play the game. im really excited to see how you will handle being a warlock yourself :D
I had sooo much trouble figuring out which race and class to play. There are so many fun choices. But I picked Seldarine Drow Rogue/Shadow Monk with Dark Urge origin. Haven't gotten too far yet, as I played Act 1 like 4 or 5 times in Early Access, and I am struggling to get through it again :D ... but I enjoy the changes made to Act 1 from EA and certainly look forward to moving beyond the start area.
Restartitis is a curse. Started as a paladin but didn't like how he looked so i rolled a new one, then decided that i didn't like not being able to do much at range so i rolled a bard, then decided that i didn't like playing dark urge as a good character due to some weird companion interactions so i just made the same bard again just custom this time lmao.
I too never played Baldurs Gate, a friend's mother's boyfriend used to cloister himself in a weed smelling computer room and play it. I've played classic D&D however and was surprised to learn Baldurs Gate is within that universe.
I had a drow warlock on my main playthrough in EA it was fun, now i play a human Paladin (both female) so far i have reached a bit into Act 2. I have began some other playthroughs with a deep gnome druid, a drow warlock again of course etc. Amazing game!
This is definitely my favorite game of the year! I played my first game as a green Dragonborn Monk but made a ton of mistakes and wanted to make a new save even though I got super far. Now I'm playing a Seldarine Drow spore Druid/ Fey Warlock, I'm also Romancing the Druid Halsin after I had a horrible romance with Gale cause I messed up some important scenes with him. Great Video!
Playing a high half-elf Oath of the Ancients Paladin. I’m loving the game and I’m shooting for the best “good” ending. Friends is a great cantrip to have for a charisma based character.
Was fun checking in over a Twitch! Thanks for the callout. My buddy and I that are doing a playthrough both feel the same - the time goes by quickly and then we are bummed we have to stop playing! Fantastic game!
it’s been hell waiting for the ps5 release, but i already have my elf beastmaster ranger and outlander planned out !! will wait on this playthrough i suppose
I went with Asmodeus Tiefling Sorcerer, with Draconic bloodline. So far Shadowheart has my attention, though there’s a bad boy that can’t get enough of me, and a new hot-blooded one that seems like she might be lots of fun. Does high charisma mean everyone has the hots for me? Don’t know but I kinda like it.
I'm with you on that, I'm obsessed with the game. I'm playing Lock too. I'm also playing Rogue and Eldritch Knight. I can't get enough of the game to be honest. Definitely game of the year!
Ooooh, a Lolth-Sworn Drow playthrough...intriguing! Currently a lady Seldarine Drow Bard myself. There are some great Drown-specific lines of dialogue/conversations that reward the player well for choosing to be a Drow. I went far enough in with a Shadowheart romance to where i wouldn't feel it'd be in-character to leave her, but my next playthrough I'll be romancing Lae'Zel (or Bae'Zel if I may, I adore her). No shame being a complete newcomer and being a bit thrown due to all the new lingo, you'll pick it up as you go. I've played all the other D&D games of old, and am not a Forgotten Realms fan (the official main D&D setting that I never cared enough about to remember much of anything from before), but this game is good enough to actually engage me and get me invested, you should be in for a good ride with this one.
Drow specific lines are so fun! I really didn't know anything about Drow society when I picked the character, or Lolth-sworn for that matter, but I'm really vibing with the Lolth Drow roleplay. I'm really happy you are enjoying the game!
Been playing a Half-Orc Barbarian. It's loads of fun. My squad has been, for the most part, Asterion, Karlach (my romance) and Shadowheart. Just completed Act 1 last night and I'm so in love with Karlach and this entire game!
Wish I could do my first playthrough again lol not knowing what the story is going to fling at you is amazing. My first playthrough was a teifing dark urge, it was so intense 😅
Iirc in the forgotten realms books the oldest drow Matron Baenrae is over 1000 years old and looks only 50 or so. And she still somehow can pop out kids
I am looking forward to making my favorite D&D characters, Drow, Bard, worshipper of Elistree. I played her decades ago in 2nd and want to play her in 5th. A warlock, cleric of Selune, and an evoker are all other classes.
Don't know if anyone said it but I think the show she was thinking about was "Legend of the Seeker" with the Mord Sith. Most of them had long braided pony tails.
I modded in the Firbolg race so I could make my main/fav DnD character Zildove Windwalker, a Firbolg Druid ranger. I just finished act 1 and am trying to finish an area one character quest before I move on to Act 2. Astarion is my romance, and the journey is going great.
I'm loving this game. But I get the bugged cutscenes too...just had one where I was wildshaped as an owlbear, and the only thing it showed was his big feathery butt instead of the people talking lol
Been playing since Alpha release and now that we have the full release I could not be happier. Grew up with Shadows of Amn being my main Baldurs Gate game and this lives up to it 100%. Absolutely love it. I am a Fighter lvl 7 right now in Act 2 :D I bedded La'zael and am in a deep romance with her now. Currently doing stuff I can not say because of spoilers but its so good
Considering I had also replayed Baldur's Gate 2 recently and what I've heard of at least one character from that game you meet, I was thinking of making some version of Viconia.
@@petrusjnaude7279 I have met one of the BG2 characters already! I won't spoil it but you 100% meet at least one of the huge main protagonists in 2 so far :D They also make reference to the events in 2!
@@gundamgunpla4685 That's cool. It's so fun! It is combat heavy, as you pointed out, but there are plenty of opportunities to talk your way out of combat or even just level the battlefield with some well placed barrels 😂I couldn't recommend the game more

Actually the difference between lolthsworn and seldarine isn't really that in one you are in a cult and in the other you aren't. The Seldarine is actually the name of the Elver Pantheon in Dungeons and dragons so, a Seldarine drow is more a drow that refuses Lolth's teachings, usually wants to live in the surface, sometimes amongst their elven cousins!
I have never seen such a glitchy mess at the crash scene like what happened to you 🤣😂 I've played through the game three times now and watched multiple playthroughs and it was always a smooth scene on my PS5. I don't know if that was a PC issue or what, but it's a shame that that happened while you were streaming it; because it looked terrible 😅
I just started a new game: I'm going to play as a black Dragonborn ranger. For romance I'm most likely to go for either Gale or Wyll (if either of them would consider having a relationship with a Dragonborn of course)
I played the original games back when they were released. Granted the rules to D&D have changed quite considerably since then, but the feeling of the game itself is very much retained. I even went back now and started to replay the first one in the Enhanced Edition. The love and detail the devolpers put in those isometric environments and the sound design of the environments, like the sea crashing against the rocky shores and the gulls screaming, or woodbirds singing is just magnificent for a 25 year old game. And I'm not sure Starfield will even compete. It's Bethesda. They always release unpolished bugfests, because they are one of those Studios that do what everybody else does: Submit to publishing dates to please shareholders, instead of delaying until it is done. As for your style of gameplay, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it soon, just remember that in turn based combat you will not want to waste your actions on picking up loot in the middle of combat. In D&D combat you have a movement, an action and a bonus action. You can do them in any order you like. Picking up stuff counts as an action. So once you pick up stuff you can't attack in that turn any longer.
first time played a D&D based game and I am obsessed. Im on my 6th play through as Astarion now. My first play though is more like ME, as I would love to get myself into the game. So I was a human fighter. lol.
Hey, my first playthrough on normal mode was as a elven Cleric of Selune and her love partner was Shadowheart. The story revolved around our belief systems and it was so important to convert her to Selune. I succeeded. Shadowheart and Wyll were the only survivors though. My second playthrough on tactical mode is as a human Paladin who is also in a relationship with Shadowheart. He has two of three parts of the crown so the campaign is almost over. My third playthrough is as a Githyanki Ranger mainly because I was interested in the interactions with Lazael. Still in Act 1. My fourth playthrough is as a half elf dark urge Warlock on easymode because I only wanted to see the story. Quite interesting. Also stuck in Act three with 2/3 stones. My fifth campaign is as a dwarven Monk on tactical that is currently in the underdark (second half of Act 1). I am not happy with him because he seems to miss 50% or more of his hits. I am 360 hours deep into the game.
Hello! I play a drow wizard in this game. Just because crows are underrated and you don’t see much wizards either so I went with which are least playable. But I’m having a blast as I’m loving my character more and more everyday I play!
BAHAHA! I've never seen anyone fail that roll with the dying mindflayer in all the playthroughs I'm watching. I was so curious what would happen if you did. And... now I know. Welp!
Did no one in the chat tell her she had a level up sitting there for ages? This isn't a game where there's any value at all in not levelling up as soon as you can, one level can make your character significantly more powerful in D&D
I made a halfling bard, and tried to be as good-hearted as possible. I romanced shadowheart, but we never actually did anything sexual. But she would speak fondly of me and confide in me and I consider it a romance nonetheless. Eventually in act 2 when she has a bit of a pivotal character moment, I was unable to convince her to give up on a certain goal of hers, and killed her out of moral obligation. I couldn't bring myself to reload because I kind of liked it from a roleplay perspective. Tragedy is interesting haha.

The bugged cutscene of your Tav falling from the ship...I havent laughed that hard in so long
Everybody is falling in love with this game , most of them are new players of RPG ,this is AWESOME THIS IS GAMING!
I am playing as a lolth-sworn Drow Rogue/Assassin and my buddy is a half-elven bard, we have just reached baldurs gate city its so much fun ❤
FINALLY SOME MADE A DROW I LOVE PLAYING DROW
Cyn`s laughter is infectious. That was a rather strange moment with the mindflayer.
Yes! I was so hoping you would play this. It seems perfect for your channel. Thanks for playing it Cyn.
"It's cute that you think I'll do" was so awesomely in-character!
1:17:52 you didn't need to pick the lock on that chest lol. You picked up the key on the ship at 57:19
The TV show was legend of the seeker. I remembered the exact same thing when I saw the hair style
Playing a high half-elf Oath of the Ancients Paladin. I’m loving the game and I’m shooting for the best “good” ending. Friends is a great cantrip to have for a charisma based character.
I'm on watching you playing Baldur's Gate 3
episode 3 and this is a very interesting game
have a great evening and Thank You Cyn.🙂🌞
The dark urge is completly customizable, they are the only origin that is. Also i just got to the mountain pass and started a dark urge sorcerer lol.
Was fun checking in over a Twitch! Thanks for the callout. My buddy and I that are doing a playthrough both feel the same - the time goes by quickly and then we are bummed we have to stop playing! Fantastic game!
7:37
Making multiple contracts so that nobody can claim your soul is the most Dark Elf thing I may have ever heard.
it’s been hell waiting for the ps5 release, but i already have my elf beastmaster ranger and outlander planned out !! will wait on this playthrough i suppose
I'm so excited to buy this again for the PS5
BG3 definitely deserves the game of the year award
I went with Asmodeus Tiefling Sorcerer, with Draconic bloodline.
So far Shadowheart has my attention, though there’s a bad boy that can’t get enough of me, and a new hot-blooded one that seems like she might be lots of fun.
Does high charisma mean everyone has the hots for me? Don’t know but I kinda like it.
"Just gonna keep Eldritch Blastin!" LOL spoken like a true Warlock! Have fun with the game. Its killer
1:09:35 I knew something was wrong when the character came flying out stiff as a board xD
I'm with you on that, I'm obsessed with the game. I'm playing Lock too. I'm also playing Rogue and Eldritch Knight. I can't get enough of the game to be honest. Definitely game of the year!
The beginning of the game feels like it draws inspiration from Scorn.
Dark Urge is fully customizable you can even be a good Dark Urge. I'm a Drow female Warlock-Sorc-Druid Dark Urge :)
Lolth coming to save you LMAO
Also uhh she’s more likely to kill you since you’re an acolyte of hers. She sacrifices her strongest followers
Just started act 2. Such a great game.
The show you were thinking of is Legend of the Seeker from 2008 I think. Most of the evil women were in red leather and had hair like that.
😊oo0oo00000😊p0
Deep Gnome Rogue, Forest Gnome Bard, and Tiefling Warlock. Just to name a few....
Yes! I'm happy other people knew what I was talking about!
I modded in the Firbolg race so I could make my main/fav DnD character Zildove Windwalker, a Firbolg Druid ranger. I just finished act 1 and am trying to finish an area one character quest before I move on to Act 2. Astarion is my romance, and the journey is going great.
Legend of the seeker is the tv show, based on The Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind.
I'm loving this game. But I get the bugged cutscenes too...just had one where I was wildshaped as an owlbear, and the only thing it showed was his big feathery butt instead of the people talking lol
😂On the bright side, these bugs make for hilarious patch notes from the team
she whips her hair back and forth like willow smith
Wood Elf - Oathbreak Paladin - Played a resistant Dark Urge with dialogue focuses leaning towards the "blunt, cynical veteran type"
Tiefling Archfey warlock... and ♥Shadowheart
Been playing since Alpha release and now that we have the full release I could not be happier. Grew up with Shadows of Amn being my main Baldurs Gate game and this lives up to it 100%. Absolutely love it. I am a Fighter lvl 7 right now in Act 2 :D
I bedded La'zael and am in a deep romance with her now.
Part of me is happy they included some of the characters from the previous games, but considering how long it's been, and the fact that Wizards Of The Coast carried on the Bhaalspawn's story and what they did with it, I wouldn't have minded if they didn't have them in the game.
@@petrusjnaude7279 I agree completely, but the way it is implemented will make sense and they actually put logic behind why this one is at least still around :) Also waiting for Cyberpunk expac but thisll keep me going until then
That bug in the eye just "shudders" lol I've never played the first two either, but love D&D so am a bit surprised I haven't lol Though combat based games haven't been on my forefront for a while now. Have had this reccomended to me by a few friends though, so came here to see if I would enjoy it. Thanks for a great from step 1 video with lots of info!
It's so fun! It is combat heavy, as you pointed out, but there are plenty of opportunities to talk your way out of combat or even just level the battlefield with some well placed barrels 😂I couldn't recommend the game more
@@Cynthetic haha Good to know! I'm still watching (technically at work at the same time heh) but had wanted to comment before getting busy. Character creation is looking intense, which I love, and I'm definitely with you for these types of games - give me Fantasy coloured skin, hair, and eyes!
I'm playing a Lloth-sworn assassin , and just picked up a level in warlock; so I can get some spells to compliment.
Not enough people recognise that warlocks are ranged characters. They simply use eldritch blast instead of a bow.
I have never seen such a glitchy mess at the crash scene like what happened to you 🤣😂
I've played through the game three times now and watched multiple playthroughs and it was always a smooth scene on my PS5.
Was there for a little bit. Now I can see what I`ve missed.
I am A Human Wizard of Waterdeep been one since neverwinternights 2 came out 20 yrs ago i think. Welcome to Faerum and D&D. I hope your ready for it.
BAHAHA! I've never seen anyone fail that roll with the dying mindflayer in all the playthroughs I'm watching. I was so curious what would happen if you did. And... now I know. Welp!
😂 my warlock hates me. Her rolls get worse and worse as the game goes on
"are you going to poke it out" foreshadowing lol
Did no one in the chat tell her she had a level up sitting there for ages? This isn't a game where there's any value at all in not levelling up as soon as you can, one level can make your character significantly more powerful in D&D
It seems new episodes started to appear in this playthrough. Gonna watch this series.
01:31:16 the companions are just standing in place…good writing 😂
That's morbid curiosity for you 😂 They just wanted to see what would happen
"We're now on a quest for hand sanitizer." 🤣
Damn you took that fall like a CHAMP! Is Drows got the stick together despite me being more of the good ones - Celric too.
The first character I made was Gandalf. Human male wizard with a cool beard.
This is also my very first baldurs gate game, i am also very obsessed with this game!
I made a Lolth-Sworn Drow range and named him Zyn. Funny to see she named hers Cyn
