Honda CR125 Reed Cage Gasket Installation

Honda CR125 Reed Cage Gasket - 14132-KZ4-620 - Installation tips. Many times, we receive engines and the reed cage gasket is installed backwards.
The gasket has black silicone strips that are designed to face the cases, to seal the case halves. This area can have a possible leak due to the use of a center case gasket.

i have an 06 yz85 which i tore down completely. putting it back together and i cant seem to find the gasket for the reed cage online. Yamaha part catalogs with diagrams online show the reed cage and reed but no gasket. kinda lost here cause the service manual doesn't mention it either. Does it go without a gasket since its not mentioned in the service manual?

thanks for the video! doing a top end on a yz250 and I forgot if this gasket goes between the cylinder and reed cage or the reed cage and manifold. I was guessing the first way and this video confirmed that. yamaha does not even show the gasket in the owner's manual....shame on them 😛

You want to make sure the manifold has a molded oring to act as a seal. Some engines require a gasket between the manifold and Reed valve AND Reed valve to cylinder or cases.
