Thanks a bunch, never worked on a 90's CR, bought a bike in a box and got 3 jugs with the internals scattered in a tote. Those clips that hold the valves were missing, fortunately you can still buy some of the parts. Missing the bearing as well. Talk about a puzzle... Had to clean all the parts and work out what was what, but the motor is 99% now, just need to set the EV. Great video.
Great vid, its one thing I'll look at, i have a CR 125 1995 that idles and blips in neutral fine but when riding throttle sticks wide open even on a closed throttle - dangerous
Sounds like you need a new main bearing seal on the stator side (left side) of the engine. Remove the fly wheel cover and spray alittle start fluid near the stator while the bikes idling. If the rpms rise then you need a new seal.
@@slowroadtopro8225 thanks for the fast reply man. Yeah I think the bearings just gone I might have to get a new one. You think loctite’ll keep it in there ?
@@slowroadtopro8225 gotcha. I will start putting that on bearings. When I took my cylinder out and moved the lever up and down like how you demonstrated at the end, only one side of the power valves were coming out , left side. I’m just gonna do everything you did and put that loctite on , hopefully it fixes , but I’m not sure what the problem would be if I can’t get the right side to operate too when I get it back together here shortly

Excellent video! Big help thanks! 🙏
I love the disclaimer at the end! I will be doing a hpp soon thanks for the video
Great video!
would have loved to have seen you break it down though.
Ever had issues with one side closing more than the other?

Hello, friend.
Please tell me, I have a 1998 Honda cr125r, the crankcase is broken, can I buy from 2001 and rearrange my insides?
What reeds did you order had a problem ordering mines always ended up with wrong set
I ordered a Boyesen Rad valve off of ebay for my specific year.
Could it be carb, reeds, powervalve any ideas?
Bro my pinion shaft bearing comes out with the pinion shaft is that normal ? I hope you reply soon.
It’s not supposed too but you can put some loc-tite on the outer race of the bearing and run it

@@deskonosido1026 bearing needs too be good

@@slowroadtopro8225 it’s a 94 cr125 , thinking she might need a bottom end rebuild soon. Sounds clunky down there
Really helpful
What could cause a power valve to hit the piston and how do I fix it 94 cr125 hpp system
Washer lock is in wrong or if you have a new cylinder then the powervalve might need cut to match.
@@slowroadtopro8225 what is the washer lock and how can I tell if it's in wrong
Cool vid. How do you connect the linkage?
Check out the 2nd video we ever posted. 1999 cr125 rebuild: part 2. That will show you how to properly install the top end
Do I have to lube the power valves up with mixing oil?
Its best to so the valves don’t wear out
make sure you dont have a dry shaft tho, very important
Most important part haha
What year bikes does this work with??
Should work for any Cr equipped with the Hpp Power Valve system, I believe anywhere from 1990-1999.
hey, do i have to take a cylinder off to do this
No you can do it on the bike just be careful👍🏻
If U get something to seize inside a PV assembly within 3-6 months you're better than me. : ) LOL (jk).
Every 5 hours of riding time? Seriously? 😭
