Good video on jetting
Excellent video! Big help thanks! 🙏
knowing that it "feels" like 125 gives me even more reason to buy one . i have few 4 strokers (250/426 yami and 450 rmz) but missing smoker. im eying 2007, well kept with recent top end rebuild for 2500. is it worth or should i pass?
I have heard good things, go for it!
@@slowroadtopro8225 tnx ,will go check it out 😁
Where’s this bike now?
Still own it but haven't ridden it in a while
Ever had issues with one side closing more than the other?
chin mount would be way better whatever set up you got isnt it. good riding though.
Great Ride Bro
Flywheel weight would do wonders for woods riding
Did you guys torque the cylinder/head?
Hello, friend. Please tell me, I have a 1998 Honda cr125r, the crankcase is broken, can I buy from 2001 and rearrange my insides?
Hello, friend. Please tell me, I have a 1998 Honda cr125r, the crankcase is broken, can I buy from 2001 and rearrange my insides?
A bit rich but it's breaking in.
Use a 6 point on a 6 point not a 12 point
Not necessarily needed when using quality snap on wrenches
I have a 1999 cr125 as well, how often do you do the top end on yours?
I do mine every 10 hard hours on the track. You can get away with 25+ hours though.
what your ratio mix this look like 30:1
40:1
Maravillosa e inolvidable Suzuki RM 250 , 125 ,80 toda la gama buen video.saludos desde Cali Colombia!!!.
Every 5 hours of riding time? Seriously? 😭
I have a 1998 RM125 I got not long ago and I love it. It needs a lil work but all and all is a decent bike!!!
Does anyone know where I could find a 98 rm 250 engine???
Best bet is to probably check Facebook marketplace or Ebay. Getting individual parts is more than likely a better option than a whole engine as well.
Great video, just bought this exact bike and i love it!!
What plug and jetting you running in that thing bro
what’s a good mixture ratio? And best place to know where things go like tubings and electrical.
We run 40:1 on all of our bikes. I recommend Rockymountainatvmc they have very good oem parts diagrams.
@@slowroadtopro8225 alright thanks!
Nice bike man. I have a 96 RM250 and I love it.
Sweet looking 98 Suzuki
Отличный rm парни!
Bro my pinion shaft bearing comes out with the pinion shaft is that normal ? I hope you reply soon.
It’s not supposed too but you can put some loc-tite on the outer race of the bearing and run it
@@slowroadtopro8225 thanks for the fast reply man. Yeah I think the bearings just gone I might have to get a new one. You think loctite’ll keep it in there ?
@@deskonosido1026 bearing needs too be good
@@slowroadtopro8225 gotcha. I will start putting that on bearings. When I took my cylinder out and moved the lever up and down like how you demonstrated at the end, only one side of the power valves were coming out , left side. I’m just gonna do everything you did and put that loctite on , hopefully it fixes , but I’m not sure what the problem would be if I can’t get the right side to operate too when I get it back together here shortly
@@slowroadtopro8225 it’s a 94 cr125 , thinking she might need a bottom end rebuild soon. Sounds clunky down there
What could cause a power valve to hit the piston and how do I fix it 94 cr125 hpp system
Washer lock is in wrong or if you have a new cylinder then the powervalve might need cut to match.
@@slowroadtopro8225 what is the washer lock and how can I tell if it's in wrong
Awesome Job ! I'm just starting the process of rebuilding my 1988 CR500 ,that I've had for over 30 years. I love the blind bearing & slap hammer on the back of the case, as you were splitting it ! Excellent Idea ! You definitely taught this "Old Dog" a "New Trick" ! I didn't see that, in any of the other videos, I watched, on rebuilding CR500 engines. Good Job ! Thanks for the great info. Do you know who, I can send my original crank too , to get it re-worked ? Thanks. Keep up the good Work.
We personally do all our own work, so I am not sure of anywhere to send it. I would recommend asking around in a forum or Facebook group, they can normally point you in the right direction. Hope this helps!
Y'all ever coming back? I hope he made a full recovery!
Soon hopefully
I got worried since you never finished the cr500. With concussions like that and impacts with this potential. Take a head injury more seriously. People can have more then a concussion and have a brain bleed. That will cause seizures most likely however people can have lucid intervals were they appear like they are coming too but never do. Stay Healthy Brothers!
I have a 1999 cr 125 my rear shock is also blown I’m having trouble finding one do you know where I can one or if there are any shocks that will work for this bike
Its about $200 to have a shock rebuilt at a suspension shop lik pr2, pro action, factory connection, etc…
Salut, nu vinzi crossul?
Great video!
What’s part3
Probably a reveal of the bike. Its finished but we lost the footage sadly.
The size of the crf 450 piston is the size of the small block piston.
Any mods to the rm250 for trail riding
No it actually has moto suspension so it is worse in the woods.
I love the disclaimer at the end! I will be doing a hpp soon thanks for the video
hey man i have a question. on my vr 125 1999, under my left crank case cover ive got some of them bolt cases that hold it on are broken off… how can i fix that so that i can tighten it back on. it leaks some of the motor oil out do to nit enought tighten.
Try and use a bolt extraction kit that may work.
@@slowroadtopro8225 alright… I’ll try that. Thank you! I have another question now 😂😬 some of my bolt holes are just stripped… how do I retread them so the bolts will screw tight? On my inner clutch cover
For someone that only “pleasure” rides a few times a month, do you think they would hold up and offer a fair amount of protection. I’m a 60 yr old and just don’t go at it as hard as my younger days! Lol
Yeah they would probably work great for you.
Hey SRTP, I just recently heard about the RXR knee braces and found your video while trying to research them! Your review is about 2 yrs old now….. do you still recommend them as a budget brace and how are they holding up ?
I know that Dom was not a huge fan of them after a few months. He stopped running them as they bent pretty severely within a month or so. If you were to get a pair of knee braces it would probably be worth saving up the extra cash to get a better pair.
Thanks! I guess you get what you pay for!
I have an inquiry. So my rm pulls fine in the low builds rpm etc. Then it’ll hit flat before powerband and once it makes that transition which is all quick-like it will be fine until drops out and you repeat the cycle. Does yours have this problem or did or do you have a solution? Thanks
Mine did not have a problem like that, but I would start by trying to change needle clip position. Start by moving it the clip up one position so the needle sits lower in the jet. That should lean it out a little bit and hopefully get rid of that flat spot. If that doesn’t work I would try moving the opposite way, or changing jet sizes.
It’s like a year later do you still ride??
We havent been riding as much, hoping to start making videos again soon!
I make sure the spark plug so stripped you can just drop in a new one and zip tie it in.
Thats the way to do it!
Thanks for making this!
I just bought a fmf cr125 1999. How often do you rebuild your engines top end?
Between 10-25 hrs on a top end
You can shrewd bro hell of a rider. 👌✊✊✊
Awesome channel hope y’all make it back🤘
She sounded so tight after rebuild.
Nice to see that the engine is still in good shape. I was not so lucky with mine. I like the engine stand. Simple with full movement and convenience of being able to move freely around the motor. I may have to borrow your idea and make one for myself.
Sick bike and that first beat in the video is dope.
I can use new goggles.
