hey there i have a qustion for ya. i dont know much about reeds but i have a vforce delta reed cage and my reeds are bad but all i can find are vforce delta 2 and 3 reeds i found on ebay some reeds that look similar but they are just a little different its for my 1996 cr125 and it has 3 reeds on each side and some in the middle will any of the reeds work on it as long as they have 3 reeds

Please send us a photo of your current reed application. You can use our email account - [e-mail] . If you use different reeds, you could expect this to change your tuning of the engine. It could be very slightly, or very noticeable, depending on the replacement reeds that you install.

Correct me please. You say reed valves are directional and that’s why the corner is cut and also you say the reed has a curve and must be put back to match up..enlighten me. I thought the cut corner was just an identifier to tell if the reed has been turned in a maintenance recycle reuse incident. And the petals/ reeds are supplied and must be totally flat to work as intended

I can't answer your question regarding a recycler reuse identifier because we do not recycle or salvage vehicles. Some of the reed manufacturers that we use for some of our engine applications use the cut corner as an indicator to show which way the reed should be installed to minimize the natural bend or curve of the reed material itself. Ideally, you want the reed pedal to lay flat and sealing on all edges. In some instances, the reed will have curvature to it. When installed improperly, it will allow an opening on the sealing surfaces.
