I've got to say, considering the battery size and the screen resolution and size, Samsung is really on top of their battery game right now. This is just phenomenal.
Well the S8 plus is close to a half inch larger than the regular S8 so that is why it only lasts 7% longer during heavy use, but if we did a comparison in normal average use I think it would last 10-15% longer.

AK Samsung_Lover yeah I know Asphalt 8 is heavy but if use Snapchat for 10 minutes on my s6 it gets at as hot as a damn oven. The battery also goes down 50% to 30% in nearly 10 minutes!

Yes. My S7 Edge had decent battery life new but it kinda sucks now. May be my apps but I have to charge at some point to get a whole day even if I barely use it.

Dont worry, im watching on ipad mini 2, and.....i lost over 30 percent. And this has like a 4300 battery (i think), but i dont think it uses it all, and it always sucks, on days that i watch and play a lot, i plug it in 3+ times....i know.....it sucks....thats why 8m saving for and s8+!!!

i bought a S8 in 2019, the battery life was good at the beginning.... but after a year the battery wasn't as good as the beginning. It decreased from 5h to maybe 2h display on time.

Phones should be tested with the location switched constantly on, and usage of apps that required an internet data. This is the norm nowadays for most users. Sadly these phones will only last half a day.
These phones have exynos processor. Here in the USA we get shitty snap dragon 835. Exynos is faster and delivers better battery life then snap dragon. thanks Samsung

i bought my S7 last year and it's always get what i need especially for gaming , no overheating , the fps is a beast and it has a long battery life . I have made a right choice , there is no regret

WOW!!!! More than 6 hours of battery drain madness....not just normal onscreen time but intentional battery drain. Plus with Samsungs their battery life reaches its maximum after about 5 or 6 complete cycles of charging and discharging. At first I was worried about battery life on the S8 only versus the S8+ but I see that I will get probably 2 days out of the smaller S8. I'm sold!! Can't wait til April 21st.

So difference is about 15 minutes. It's rather not worth to pay 150$ more for SGS8+. Above 6 hours on screen is still very good score. If you don't play games I think it would be about 7-8 hour on screen on SGS8 without plus.

Sakarq but on the s8 and 8+ changing the resolution gives you a message saying that you may experience battery drainage. it also does this when just raising the brightness. honestly I do that think it will make aarge difference but it has to make some sort of difference if it didn't then the power saving mode wouldn't allow you to lower the resolution. it wouldn't be saving power

- You could make your voice a bit more "sharp"
- You can improve the lighting of your videos
- And you can lay a big colored paper on your table for a little variation every now and then
- and finally I would recommend you shooting your videos directly from above. Would look a lot cleaner.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus has the best battery life of any phone i've used so far. I charged it to 100% this morning, and left for school at 7:30 a.m. I've used it heavily today with my screen brightness almost all the way up, and i'm now at 57%. It's 4:48 p.m where i live now.

Why the S8 had such a low difference to the S8+ after ig, vid playback, and the game. Bc S8 had a smaller screen that drains less battery but the S8+ had a bigger battery so the S8 didnt manage to pull ahead, since the bigger battery pretty much equalizes it. But at the camera, the screen played a minimum role and it was the camera, since the two phones have the same camera, S8+ pulled ahead with the bigger battery. For anyone who didnt catch that
Coming from an S7edge 1080 vs 2k I can't tell a difference between resolutions they both looked about the same.
Still have the galaxy s5 and im. About to upgrade. Recently bought a new battery for my s5 and I'm lucky to have my phone stay charged for two hours of constant use. And if it isn't bad enough, my port has a short so I have to bend the cord one way to get it to work and only some cords work even when I buy new ones. My phone has seen better days
