I suffered severe depression and mental disorder years ago as a teenage. Got diagnosed with ADHD. Spent my whole life fighting ADHD. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 6 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

I'm so very happy for you, Psilocybin is absolutely amazing, the way it shows you things, the way it teaches you things. I can not believe our world and our people shows less interest about it's helpfulness to humanity. It's love. The mushrooms heals people by showing the truth, it would be so beneficial for so many people, especially politicians and the rich who have lost their way and every other persons out there.

Where can I find those psilocybin mushrooms? I'm really interested in treating my mental health without Rxs. I live in Australia don't know much about these. I'm so glad they helped

Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Never addictive. Thank you for sharing this point!

Hey Hidden ADD, the reason why it’s hard to explain the difference with Vyvanse and Adderall is because they’re different versions of the same drug. Vyvanse is extremely slow release Dextroamphetamine and Adderall is a mix between said Dextroamphetamine and levoamohetamine, with the latter being attributed to the “physical” part of the effects and greater side effects with crashing and sometimes mental state. Since Vyvanse is a prodrug, the Dextroamphetamine is actually inactive until it reaches a part of your digestive system that the lysine is bound to, thus making it non-abusable by means of other intake. That’s why it can take a while to work and also why it lasts longer than Adderall for most. Digestive systems do come into play here, but that’s what it was designed for.

I’ve tried all of them except for Adderall, Vyvanse felt the best by far, everything seemed more enjoyable, and focusing at work and studying seemed like watching a movie, my social abilities weren’t affected much, and I felt a increase in my self esteem. The only bad thing was the insomnia. Ritalin and concerta on the other hand made me feel weird, focusing on only one thing and ignoring the other stuff around, doing things on automatic, I also felt antisocial.

I read a study on amphetamine if anyones wondering about the dextroamphetamine and levoamphetamine isomers. Amphetamine, like many drugs, is composed of 2 mirror image isomers L isomer and D isomer, the D being the much more potent isomer. Adderall is like a 3:1 ratio of the 2 amphetamine isomers. 3 parts D and 1 part L. The 1 part L isomer, although less potent, was found to potentiate and prolong the effects of the 3 parts D isomer.

I started with Concerta, but it didn’t have any effects on my positively or negatively, we upped the dosage but It was like eating a sugar pill. My psychiatrist then started me on wilbutrin (usually used for depression but some doctors use it to treat ADHD) and it seemed to help with the overall emotional stability but did not contribute to the ADHD aspect. Now, I will be starting adderall. I’m hoping this will really help, I might be starting a new job soon as an analyst (work from home desk work) as opposed to working in very social environments. • @oshieot
      @oshieot 2 года назад +4

@@conmon210 Just like Yamelsys, I also started XR. The immediate switch to adderall was something I could tell there was a difference from Wellbutrin and concerta. I started out at XR 10mg and over time we’d raise the dosage to 20, 30, and now 40. Around the 20-30 area I noticed that I could give myself the focus I needed on tasks but because of anxiety, I found myself always starting one thing and then switching to something else without ever finishing the last thing. It took a while for me to realize that and once I told my dr. we balanced it out with some anxiety medication. That’s when I started Pristiq. Ever sense, it’s become much easier on myself and started noticing the real benefits from it. I wouldn’t describe it as addictive, only because it’s XR and not something that kicks in at high gear all at once through short periods of time. I’ve actually forgotten to taken mine a couple times and I don’t even take it over the weekends. But I will say the days I forgot, the difference between being on adderall and not was very noticeable. My head would feel kinda blank, dull, hazey and it was really hard to think through it. So yeah, adderall has been the way to go for me now. My only problem is sometimes when I need another refill, here in Florida, they have strict laws on Amphetamines so they deny Dr’s the ability to write the prescription with refills and force them to have to write the actual prescription itself each time you need a refill. On top of that, once the pharmacy receives the prescription, they then have it on a 10 day waiting period until they can fill it. This would force me to either not take any at all to save myself some when I need it more or take half the prescribed amount to make due until I get my refill. Other than that though, it’s been great. If you don’t live in FL, then you should be lucky enough to not run into those issues

What would the dosage be? 50 years old here and my doctor started me off with 10 mg of Vyvanse. When I told him I wasn't noticing a difference he said if you don't at 10 you won't. @junipercosmic6841 2 года назад +4

Hi Julie. Yeah your doctor is talking crap.. 10mg is a very small dose. Most people start on 20mg or even 30mg. I started on 20mg and didn't feel much. 30mg however, did work. It gives me more physical energy than great mental focus though. But everyone is different. Good luck!

    • @mccannger
      @mccannger 2 года назад +2

@@junipercosmic6841 i second that reply: I’ve gone 20 > 30 > 50 > 70 of vyvanse over a few weeks. the effects are stronger with each dose, but focus-wise it aint really that helpful. When I first get my dose increased it works for a few days, maybe a week, but after that there’s not much usable focus. I tried a med holiday to see if that would help and no difference. The amount of amphetamines you can tolerate depends on how your body metabolises the drug, rather than age, weight etc. So for a doctor to say taking 10mg should have an effect and no higher dose would if 10 failed to is plain wrong - based on how the meds work as well as my anecdotal evidence. Hope yours saw sense eventually!
I’m going to switch to the methylphenidate family to see if that focus is better and more sustainable. Bound to be something suitable for me…

It took years to realize that while on Adderall, I became very calloused, not worrying about even my own children's feelings, which is the exact opposite of who I am. My kids are my world and God is my Center. I was often completely rude while on adderall but it may have had something to do with the combination of antidepressants too.

Definitely worth trying a different medication but also possible to try a lower dose. American doctors in particular overdose patients a lot of the time by not first trialing low doses and just assuming you’ll function best with “more” even tho that can come with negatives like emotional blunting. Sometimes you only need a small dose to get the best results!

    • @messybuttons7525
      @messybuttons7525 2 года назад +5

Your dose may have been too high.
Even on my dose I get some emotional blunting, but NOT in a negative way. It just makes it so I don’t focus on small negative things, or I don’t over react on small matters. So it’s a pleasant feeling
However, if I tripled my dose, I could def see it doing too much, and blunting my emotions about things that should matter
I’d try a lower dose or maybe try Vyvanse. If you’re having focus issues and it’s bothering you, keep trying.
Also be open to other diagnoses. ADHD has overlap with Bipolar, depression, anxiety, etc

The IR versions allow for flexibility. I am taking 20mg Adderall twice a day during the week. I don't believe anything I hear about one generic working better than the next.

I'm 30 and I got the diagnosis a few years ago. Got prescribed concerta, and I really wanted it to work. And it did in the very beginning, but the side effects were just unbearably bad for me. I couldn't eat, I lost so much weight that I got badly malnourished, I got really anxious and paranoid, and the crashes were horrible. Life was like having a 24/7 panic attack.
Then after 2 horrible years trying different doses and versions of methylphenidate, I finally got switched to Vyvanse.
The difference is like night and day. I actually feel calm and collected, the extra noise in my head gets turned down a bit so I can focus on a single thing at a time, I don't have that constant brain fog or fatigue anymore, and the effect stays stable for the whole day.
And unlike Ritalin, this doesn't make me feel wired or like I'm "on medication", it just makes me feel more or less normal (or as close to neurotypical as possible)
The downsides I've noticed are the long duration like you mentioned, low appetite (but not as low as methylphenidate), and moderately quick tolerance buildup.
I'm on a 50mg dose, and on some days it feels like it works really well, and on some days it feels like I took a sugar pill. I really don't know how to bring that up with my doctor because of the lingering stigma on ADHD medication over here. I feel like 70mg would be too much as a full day dose, but 50 seems too little on some days.
But overall it's made my life SO much better. I can keep my apartment clean, I can actually remember my appointments and responsibilities, and I can focus and actually get satisfaction from the things I do, even the dull ones like cleaning and doing laundry :)
I was a complete mess for nearly 30 years, but this diagnosis and getting treatment has massively improved my life. I'm still learning how to live a normal life, but it's going well :)

HiYa I'm in the same boat (previous 30 yrs kinda a mess, getting better now). I'm no exp but maybe consider Staying at 50mg... Yet adding an IR booster (Adderall instant release). Pretty common strategy.
I was dx 6 min ago. Only tried IR worked incredibly. But mostly stopped. Don't think it's tolerance, rather some cheap faulty generics. Getting it all worked out. My goal is effective dose, yet take breaks. So brain receptors (& heart) rest/refresh ...and med stays feeling strong

    vyvanse isn't extended release adderall.
it works differently in your system.
I just switched (in the last year) from IR adderall, to vyvanse, and then to XR adderall.
Vyvanse must go through a chemical change in your body before it becomes an effective amphetamine.
XR adderall is normal adderall that is time released by using tiny beads that dissolve at different rates.
if you have issues metabolizing things, or are lacking in the chemicals necessary to convert vyvanse to amphetamine, then vyvanse may not be as effective as adderall XR.
vyvanse was milder than adderall in my experience. adderall causes more physical symptoms similar to anxiety. Adderall helped more with executive function. vyvanse rarely gave me enough will to actually move from thinking about something to DOING that something.

Does anyone have history with Dexamphetamine/Dexedrine? I take 30 mg twice daily. 60 mg daily is the highest dose that can be ordered. This highest dose is typically for narcolepsy. This med is 1 of the two drugs that make up Adderall. Adderall just didn't help and I maxed out on dose. My adult ADHD is pretty bad. I am a nurse and wasn't diagnosed until 35. It's a hard career when your memory, hustle and concentration are slowly evaporating. After medication therapy it's noticably better, but I know now it will never be enough.

    • @SsNoir

I'd highly suggest concerta, or whatever form of concerta is extended-release throughout the day. I am an adult as well, and I have ADD. I was on concerta for years. It helped me focus tremendously, and in your case, and for your profession, I would highly suggest it above everything else. From the impression I got from your comment, it seems to be the best choice for you in my opinion. I was first diagnosed in early high school, and concerta managed to pull me out of a rut. It helped me make myself a successful and confident student. I am 6'7 with a high metabolism, and I took about 35 mg once a day; via one tablet and cup of water each morning. It worked great. PLEASE be cautious however; I am aware that you are a nurse, so you should know that experimenting with dosages is a slippery slope. Concerta and Adderall are two very different prescriptions. One problem I had with concerta, was how tired I felt mentally after its effects wore off. It became difficult to socialize with peers and family like I used to, because of how drained I felt. Definitely not a deal-breaker, nor was it the worst thing in the world. Just a notable negative for me. Felt a bit like your brain had a hard mental workout session. But no migraines or headaches or anything close to side effects like those whatsoever. Just a bit of fatigue.
As of current, I am taking the extended-release form of Adderall. I started on it about a year ago, and similarly, with you, it just doesn't do it for me. I've been gradually increasing doses in referral with my doctor, and at this point, I am thinking about just returning to all-day concerta again.
One more thing I will say about concerta. As mentioned in the video, it can make social interaction, and drawing on creativity very difficult. I am a student in the field of Psychology, and this is primarily the reason I chose to switch to Adderall. Not because of a lack of focus, but because I sometimes felt like a different "me" when I took concerta. A more focused, and absorbant me rose to the top; while the creative, extroverted, outgoing, social, and impulsive me seemed to be buried somewhere underneath. The majority of my work will involve critical analysis, clinical interaction, and a whole lot of reading and writing. Concerta definitely helped with the reading aspect, but actually seemed to hinder my writing a bit. I found it difficult to draw from my extensive vocabulary while writing academically, or on the spot. This may have to do with the whole "creativity" side of things. I often found myself before exam days, where I knew the test would be mostly writing, actually skipping concerta, so I could have my full creative mobility.
However, Crystal in your line of work, I doubt this would be an issue. That is why I highly suggest Concerta for you. Although it may be a very different case for you in practice. Everyone's experience will inevitably be different.
As the patient, however, it is our decision to inform ourselves, and our physicians what side-effects we can tolerate, and which ones we cannot. This is primarily the reason why I've been looking at these videos recently. Just to truly help me decide if I should try to stick with Adderall; which keeps me mentally sharp/active, along with decent focus, while I still remain "me". Or, if I should return to concerta and swallow some of the personal trade-offs I'd found over time, for the almost night and day difference in focus, and information retention.
That's all I got for ya Crystal, a bit long-winded perhaps. My apologies. Alas, such is the dilemma of a writer at heart ... lol. Hope this helps!

@@SsNoir Oh my goodness please please reply to me! I would love a long winded reply haha.
So I’ve just been diagnosed, I work from home and am creative (I’m a musician writer and do social media) and my primary needs are to be able to START doing what I need to do instead of procrastinating all day. I need to do a lot of creative tasks (writing music and scripts, talking to an audience) but also a lot of mundane (sending things off, researching, editing which sounds creative but I find it technical and frustrating and a huge long task).
Which meds to do you think would be better for someone who struggles to start tasks, struggles to switch tasks, stuggles to maintain focus on one task instead of getting distracted bored ir frustrated, and the most important one…struggles to maintain focus for long enough to achieve a larger goal. But still able to be creative? Thanks

@@simsthre4078 music I think is a more intuitive avenue. In terms of music creativity etc. Theory and other music associated activities come much easier so Adderall is something I’d intuitively suggest.
However, based on your comment it seems like getting things started, following through, and maintaining productivity sound like your main issues.
In this case, I think concerta would be your best bet. Of course don’t forget that the medication isn’t going to make you do the actual work. That’s the hard part, and it’s all on you. That will never change, and it’s the struggle with ADHD. It takes time to know yourself, and your bad habits and to snuff them out before they consume you. That’s extremely important.
In terms of getting distracted etc concerts definitely helps you focus on the task at hand and really makes it easy to focus unwavered for extended periods of time. Adderall more so keeps you in a heightened state of arousal for a long period of time which can help with staying attentive, and picking up, learning, executing, and mastering much easier.
It sounds to me like you might need a little bit of organization in your life aside from the medicine. The medicine is only the crutches for your impairment if it’s diagnosed. You still have to walk on your own no matter what. My best advice would be to talk to your doctor about extended release concerta (methylphenidate) and go from there. It should help almost entirely with getting distracted and staying on task.
It helps tremendously with mundane tedious tasks and busy work. Makes it very executable. Fair warning though, if you allow yourself to get distracted with other tasks while in concerta or adderall, be warned that they might consume your attention for MUCH longer than getting distracted normally would without. I’ve found that I can get into the zone without distractions much easier while on concerta. Like I said it’s a slippery slope and everyone’s different. Just a remember at the end of the day what does the work is you, not the medicine. It might be difficult to stay focused, but your biggest key will be to know yourself and to stay organized. Good luck!

@@robin1418 oh i agree. Eight hours is okay, if it were prescribed twice daily for those who need all day coverage. But it being marketed as a once daily medication is just not the case for a lot of people. Some don’t want or don’t feel the need to be medicated all day, and that’s fine. But if your schedule is 5a-7pm busy consistently, I don’t think Vyvanse once a day will fit well with you, except maybe in slowly metabolizing individuals. Enzymes in RBC’s cleave lysine, so chances are if your blood cell count is high (like me) and you consume a lot of amino acids (like me), I feel like Vyvanse hits really hard for a short period and then slowly disappears. Newly diagnosed at 44😳 my Dr titrated me on Adderall. I feel like she let me get to high in mg. I was loosing my shit! Starting Concerta in the morning. For anyone that has taken Adderall, what was your perfect dose that you took each time? Also, what should be the starting dose for Concerta? I don’t trust the process that she is doing. I actually believe that she overdosed me on Adderall

15mg for my 6ft 175lb frame. I didn't have an Rx, but I needed to do extremely well on a final exam just to pass a class. I was able to get ahold of some 30mg pills with 9 days left to study. The first 3 days I took a whole pill each but felt like I was eventually too wired, so I didn't take any on day 4 and proceeded to take half a pill first thing in the morning the rest of the days. I aced the final and have an appointment scheduled with a provider for a proper diagnosis because I've never been able to focus like that in. my. life.

So yes, it’s possible you may have had too high of a dose. Everybody is different.

I remember when i was 12 I had severe ADHD and depression . My grades were horrible, i would get irritated from the slightest thing, (from what it seemed like) trapped in my head, and i would constantly get distracted by the littlest things. etc. One day, my mom went to go take a look at my grades and saw that I had an F in every single class of mine. My mom was really concerned and asked me about it. “Are you getting distracted?” “Are you getting enough sleep?” “Are you not turning things in?” or “Is it my fault for not checking up on you constantly?”
To me at that age, I could talk to my Mom about almost everything. So I told her that I was getting distracted, barely any sleep, getting extremely agitated when I wouldn’t solve a math problem correctly, and finding myself zoning out. (trapped in my head)… As soon as I spilled everything out to my mom, I could tell she was devastated. I was only 12.
A few days later she asked me if I wanted to get tested for ADHD. My mom has ADHD herself and noticed a lot of symptoms I was having, she had herself. She told me that if I did have ADHD, my doctor would prescribe medications for me so I would feel better. Of course I agreed to it because I wanted to be at peace, raise my grades, and keep my phone 😂 (because of how horrible my grades were)…
That said, a few weeks after I agreed to the testing, my mom had scheduled an appointment for my testing. To be honest, I was a little nervous at first because, No.1, I didn’t know how they were going to test me. And No.2, I didn’t know who the person testing me was nor how they were going treat me. My mom reassured me that everything would be just fine and I had absolutely nothing to be afraid of.
Once the day of the testing came, I was pulled out of school in the middle of math class. My mom and I drove an hour to the place. And believe me, that whole car ride was terrifying. We were greeted by a little old woman as soon as we stepped in the building. After a long and boring conversation with my mom, I followed the woman down a hallway into a tiny little room that looked like an office.
I had taken a seat in a chair that was facing her desk. She explained to me exactly what we were going to do and it won’t be as bad as I thought it would be. A few moments after that, the testing had begun.
She had all sorts of puzzles and packets that I had to solve/fill out. The puzzles were extremely easy. But, the packets were a whole different story. Letters and shapes were moving around all over the place. My stress level was extremely high and I eventually gave up on one of the problems. She would read problems that were my grade level out of a little book. I had to sit in that room for 3 hours! As soon as we finished, I had to go into a little room and press a button as soon as a little dot on the computer screen would move.
A few weeks after the appointment, my mom got a phone call saying that I did indeed have ADHD. But not any old normal case of ADHD.. severe.
The next morning, my mom and I drove to our doctors office. My doctor was telling me all sorts of things about what type medication fit me and what was best for me. My mom and doctor eventually settled on Concerta. I was also diagnosed with severe depression a few months prior to that appointment. So now, I was taking some sort of anti-depressant (That I don’t remember the name of,) and concerta. When I first got diagnosed with ADHD, I was only taking a 5 mg tablet every other day.
The first few months of taking a 5 mg tablet of concerta, I was doing just fine. I had no negative side affects. For example, being nauseous, extreme headaches, or loss of appetite. But on the other hand, I didn’t feel any affect at all. Again, I was only 12. So I thought I would get results overnight 😂
Some months passed and I had another appointment about my medication. My doctor was asking me all sorts of questions like, “How are you feeling?” “Have you noticed any changes since you started it?” or “How are you treating people around you? Family, friends, teachers, etc.”
Once again, I had noticed no changes in my behavior, or listening skills. So, my doctor upgraded my dose from 5 mg, to 15 mg. So a little while after I started to take a 15 mg tablet, I noticed improvement right away. I was a lot more friendlier, outgoing, and focused. But most of all, my grades improved by A LOT. I felt happy. I felt okay. I felt good.
But, things started to go downhill once my ex boyfriend and I broke up. I was so depressed. I had no motivation. I was exhausted. I was angry. But most of all, I was heartbroken.
That’s when things started to go downhill for me. A few months after I had turned 13, I wanted to see what it felt like if I took more than 1 tablet. My thoughts were, “Take 10 of them. You’ll feel good.” “It’s just for fun, you’re allowed to be curious.” or “I’m sure nothing will go wrong.” But I was so wrong about that.
One morning, I had decided to take 10x the amount of what I was supposed to take. I felt fine at first, so I headed off to middle school. I was doing just fine in math class, until it kicked in. I was anxious, my heartbeat was very fast, and my vision would randomly get blurry. But at the time, it felt amazing.
Taking too much started to only take place once a week. Then it turned into every other day. But it eventually got me, I was taking 10 tablets everyday.
One morning, I had done the usual. I would pretend to reach up for my normal amount of medication, but instead I would take 10 tablets out of the bottle. But as I was doing that, I felt my heart DROP. I ran out. I had used all of them. I was horrified. What if my mom or dad already found out they’re all gone? What am I going to do? I’m dead.
My mom had always been the one to refill my medication container every week so I was sure she already noticed. A few days later my mom approached me and said “Well, it seems we used up all of your concerta. We’ll have to wait until I need to pick up your next prescription.”
I was extremely relieved, but I learned my lesson. If I was going to keep taking too much of my meds, my parents would eventually notice a pattern of them running out way too fast, and I would be in big trouble.
Please please please do not take more than you are supposed to. You could end up in serious trouble in the end. So that was my story!:) Hope you enjoyed.

Kids in particular should NOT be left in charge of their adhd medications as an overdose is a very real threat to one’s safety. These are heavily controlled medications for a reason, I’m surprised your mother wasn’t more serious in explaining why it was dangerous rather than the indirect punishment of denying you a refill if your script.
More importantly tho your doctor should have discussed it before giving you access to meds in the first place, to try and prevent naive experiments, especially since you were just a kid and newly diagnosed!
ADHD unfortunately puts us at high risk of addiction and substance abuse. Which is why certain meds are safer options for those of us prone to abusing them impulsively like you described. Having the “need” to do it is also a sign the medication choice or dose is ineffectual, so anyone who experiences what you described should be heading back to their doctor to update their prescription to something else, rather than risking harming themselves via self medicating with doses you weren’t given approval to take.

Methylphenidate can potentially have an inhibitory effect on amphetamine if taken before it - it's due to the nature of dopamine reuptake inhibitors (eg MPH) vs dopamine releasers (eg amphetamines), though I'm not qualified say exactly how or why this is the case. I've just noticed (as well as quite a large amount of other anecdotal experiences online) that when methylphenidate is taken a few hours _after_ the peak of amphetamine, the overall effect (and total duration of therapeutic effects) of the two drugs seems to be greater, as well as more consistent & reliable.

Ritalin I think is the best overall, short acting and intense focus, it lets you know when you’re coming down and for me, that was my que to put everything down, drink a lot of water, walk around then take a nap. It got me through chemical engineering and I was NO where near being a math prodigy, im still not, but what the drug help me do was get the information into my head more consistently enough to build a gradual mastery of the material vs the average student who is miserable and forcing themselves to focus.

It's important to talk to your doctor about any concerns with medication effectiveness and crashes. They may be able to adjust your dosage or recommend a different medication to help manage your symptoms. In addition, lifestyle changes like getting enough sleep, eating a balanced diet, and practicing stress-reducing activities like exercise and mindfulness can also improve overall symptom management.

    • @Lemurai
      @Lemurai Год назад

@@satepestage3599 what I did was actually taper my dosage, vs upping it, I’m already super sensitive to the medication, so 10 mg initially was enough for me, without giving me huge migraines. It allowed my body to cycle out the accumulated drug in my system without giving me withdrawals, I went from 10mg to 2.5, the lower dosage actually helped more than the higher dosage because I wasn’t “locked in” & could easily break away to multitask. But still, talk to your doctor about it, in my experience, less is more when you’re talking stimulants, just remember these things have killed people, get a full physical & kidney/liver function test annually on this medication.

Do you think this is a good plan and how do I talk to my doctor regarding this change in your personally experience? It's important to have an open and honest conversation with your doctor about your concerns and experiences with the medication. Explain to them that you've been experiencing the same issues with the XR formulation and would like to explore the possibility of trying the instant release version with a split dose. It's important to approach the conversation with a focus on your symptoms and how they are impacting your daily life, rather than appearing solely focused on medication adjustments. Your doctor should consider your input and work with you to find the most effective treatment plan for your needs. Remember, it's their role to help you find the best solution, so don't hesitate to communicate your thoughts and concerns.

I take 10mg in the morning immediately upon waking up. 10mg again at Noon.
I remember trying Vyvanse and feeling like I had a vice on my head... is that the "focus" feel you mention here for Ritalin?
I want to say I had some dry mouth (dry lips) with that as well. But your mention of it in the content you did has me curious to try again.
Do you have any comments on a PCP vs a Psychiatrist prescribing it? My PCP doesn't really know much about it, I had been diagnosed as a kid, teen, college kid, and adult -- so had a history of meds could show, so it was an easy prescription.

I've used IR Adderall for about a year and it's worked great until recently when I started getting neck tension while under its effects. May switch to IR Ritalin but I'm worried it won't be as strong.

I have anxiety, and also want to avoid insomnia. Which one would have the least effect on these issues?
I’ve tried quick release Adderall and it was exactly as he described, like coffee with an extra dose of focus. I’m a lightweight so it lasted a long time.
I work a repetitive, uninteresting desk job…at home which doesn’t help, lol. Sometimes I have emails which I need to think about a little more deeply.

I wish our insurance wasn't so god-awful in how much it charges for Jornay PM. I feel like my son (and family) would greatly benefit from it. Mornings with him are a chicken-and-egg situation where he needs to take his medicine to help him regulate his ADHD (very much with the H), but it's hard for him to take his medicine until he's already regulated.

@@HIDDENADHD Have you tried Metadate CD? That's what my son is using (in combination with guanfacine aka Intuniv), and our co-pay has always been in the $30 range. For the generic version of it (methylphenidate CD ER). Not great, but not the horrible hundreds that Jornay PM would have cost us. Metadate seems very close to Concerta. I wonder if there'd be a price difference for you.

It's great that you're exploring new opportunities and learning new skills. As for suggestions, make sure to take breaks and move around throughout the day to avoid sitting for too long. Also, consider setting up a workspace that promotes good posture and ergonomics. It's important to prioritize self-care, including physical activity and stress management, while pursuing new ventures. Best of luck with your trading journey!

after a few years of trying to get diagnosed, i’m finally on vyvanse. i’ve been on it for 3ish months. its the only stimulant i’ve taken, i was on strattera & quelbree for abt a month and neither worked. i’m on 40mg & it’s still not lasting long enough, usually about 5hrs. i’m in college right now & one of my days is sitting in a class room for 6 hours. then, i have to worry about homework and studying. my dr said if i felt like i still needed to up the dose we should switch to adderall & do 2 doses. my only hesitation was that i can’t go back to being on a low dose right now, over summer i can. so, THANK YOU for bringing up the rescue dose. i’m getting a refill today so i’m going to bring this up with my doctor.

Throw vyvanse in the garbage. Trust me, I was on it from July 2007 - March 2020. It took so much away from me. It was fun, but it destroys your skin, your teeth, your nails, and it makes you tired in a short period

@@honesteagle98 i ended up being prescribed adderall 2 20mgs ir (it’s about to be my 3rd month on it) and it’s so much better than vyvanse. i can split up my doses and adjust as needed. i go to a general doctor in FL and they wouldn’t let me take both but i’m very happy with my decision. i personally didn’t see any differences in my skin or anything but i was only on it for 3 months & you were on it for a long time lol. i’ve always had a hard time sleeping but vyvanse helped & so does adderall! vyvanse is supposed to last 12hrs but that’s bs, i did notice that after the first 3-5hrs i’d get unmotivated and tired. they say adderall is more of an up & down and that you can feel bad once its worn off but i don’t really notice anything. i’m not sure if you’ve tried it but i definitely recommend it. thank you for your advice!!
