- Giant steps taken on the 1966 XLCH project. Front wheel trued and torqued, front end goes to final assembly. At this rate I’ll be done before I know it.

Never got a bad or wrong part from James 👍
Another great educational video. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Very interesting.
I have found that the OEM factory Harley boots are the only ones that hold up. They are expensive and they still sell them. You are right, the only way to hang them on the retainers is to put them on before slipping the legs in. A friend gave me the tip of placing the boots in a pan of boiling water for a couple of minutes to soften them up before installing them.
Thanks for doing these vids. Your explanations and camera work are just what a pre-1970 XLCH fan like me needs to start the day.
Some of the newer sportster have gaiters, could they have recycled the 60s parts on the newer bikes? If I knew HD sill made those, I'd have tried to get them.
Thank you for the stroll down nightmare lane. Lol
Thanks for another informative video! This channel is underrated. I have been making my way through the entire collection of videos for the past month
Wow, thanks!
✌😎✌
I actually built that funnel/can with the holes & rubber tube that's described in the manual when I redid my last year USA front forks. it made the job of loading the oil into the forks an easy job. It's hanging up in the shop, and I may never use it again but it worked really well. I wish there had been a video about rebuilding those forks but I managed with the manual (which is pretty good). It's been several years but my forks seem different on the inside from the ones you did here.
There were some variations over the tears and no telling how parts have been mixed and matched.
Can't go wrong with a Bendix 👍
That's what I say
I have stroked some fork tubes, but after watching your technique, I think I am too aggressive.
Stroke firmly, but gently...
Was it the spokes or the "chinese" rim🤔
harley engineering can be brain damaging jesus!
Try not to think about it too much!
