if only they had the vision to add a expansion pack of bigger maps, or even optimize the Glass Box engine to handle bigger maps by design, or add a mechanism to buy adjacent maps like Cities Skylines, idk... but kill the main game of a genre? thats insane
I think that the GlassBox engine was made like that. They sacrificed the size of the maps, but we gained a very good simulation. Like in some factories we can see them making boxes, poluting, things like that. The visuals of the game are very pretty. To buy adjacent maps like CS could not be possible because of the purpose of the game in making only one city already established. The fact is that EA underestimated the fans of SC in not putting enough servers when the game was launched. The multiplayer had interesting features with the Region and also the price of the resources changing because of the World Market like in real life. EA is known for killing a bunch of franchises and SimCity is another one in the list. The Sims is the next, unfortunately...
@@Mastersan there’s a really good mini doc of @GamerMasons about the downfall of sim city. The senior art director Ocean Quigley, basically the mind behind all the creativity of the Sim City 2013, told that the game was designed to handle construction and simulation in all the region that you choose (basically the whole region as your “city”) not limited by small blocks like the final game. The decision of shrinking the constructive area was made by EA games at the end of the development, aiming a greedy behavior towards the franchise.
@@viniciusuchoas8385 I've watched this one. And also last year when the game turned 10 years, I found out that the board members of EA wanted this game to be online all the time and the devs had little time to change it. Someone needs to tell these old dudes with money to not interfere in creation just because of money
@@Mastersan I agree with you. Sadly, the only thing left for us is to dream that one day we could have more competition in the world of city simulators, especially coming from a company that led the genre (yikes). Things they could have done without EA screwing it up…
This game could have been so much more. I really loved this Expansion, all those future tech buildings were just *chefs kiss*
I think the same. So much lost potential...
Cities skylines should have hire the Simcity music composer. There music is nothing compare to SC
Listening to this and playing Cities2 brought back some serious nostalgia...
The original soundtrack was excellent, but the synths really lift it to a higher level
personally, I love the tech vibe in this one
agreed, this music is straight fire.
Synths straight from the “Blade Runner” soundtrack.
I listen to this and other SimCity soundtracks when playing Cities:Skylines
This is the best study music I've ever experienced. Nothing makes you lose track of time while you're in on the grind like this soundtrack.
I got goosebumps that song is excellence to my ears
This is great study music
it is indeed!
@@Mastersan In my opinion sim city 2013 has the best sound track of all games especially the future one
@@JacksNatures I totally agree with you!!
@@Mastersan Shame there wont be a new sim city
@@JacksNatures I watched a vid about how Cities Skylines took the lead and EA destroyed the SimCity franchise
I hate EA
RIP SimCity

City Skylines bozo
@@Jesus-gr4egSkylines is great but it just doesn't evoke the same vibes Maxis' games did, even this one.
@@Jesus-gr4egPerformance Bozo 💀

@@thawkadeWell too bad the gameplay was an utter downgrade from SimCity4, but it's to be expected when EA took over Maxis.
Imagine if they took the best parts of this game and combined it with SimCity 4
☹️
The entire “Cities of Tomorrow” soundtrack is basically a Vangelis tribute, right down to the synths and I love Vangelis.
RIP vangelis, me dio tristeza saber que paso a mejor vida :(
Bruh the song is from 2013, Vangelis left us in 2022...

Who else is playing cities skylines 2 with this soundtrack?
This version is also great

For me in the future when you'll come back here, the fun part is around 44:28. Enjoy your Amaretto
This video would benefit greatly from a track list.
