The penultimate question conceivably could also have 16 as an answer. The logic is that one number (which can be located anywhere) is the sum of two numbers. Hence 2 + 2 = 4, 7 + 3 = 10, and therefore 16 + 5 = 21.

How was the test?
For the 2nd to last.
2+2+10 (plus the first item in then next row) + 7 = 21
7+3+21 (plus the first item in then next row) + 5 = 36
Option D

Is this the same for Amazon apprenticeships?
Second question could have 56 as the answer as well, if one thought about duplicating the missing numbers and not adding one each time.
i.e. 1, 2, 4, 8 etc. instead of 1, 2, 3, 4 etc.
Thank you
The final question could have been b)56 as well; considering that the difference between 16 & 36 =is 20 therefore 36 + 20 = 56

Very interesting
For the question regarding the number of triangles in the picture, can be calculated mathematically as follows:
Let H be number of Horizontal Lines. In the case of this question, H=2
Let V be the number of non horizontal line, In the case of this question, V=4
Number of triangles = (H/2)*(V*(V-1))
In the case of this question, number of triangles = (2/2)*(4*(4-1))
=(1)*(4*3)=12
Try it with other shapes. All the best
Has anyone taken the Assessment? If so, how did you do and was this helpful?
I COULDN'T SEE IT THAT WAY I SEEN 5 IN THE MIDDLE AND 1 AS THE WHOLE THING TOTAL 6 DIVIDED IT BY 4 FOR EACH SIDE AND THE BOTTOM EACH SIDE I COULDN'T SEE PLUS THE ONE I COULD AND MY ANSWER WAS 24
i got only 6 triangle
The last two were a stretch . .using complete equation and having to assume to add (or subtract, divide, etc..) is not a pattern to discern but an assumption…not a fair question to base ones skills, talents, professionalism etc.. on, and i wouldn’t want to work for a company that plays such games to trick or frustrate employees..this had nothing to do with thinking global nor seeing patterns imho..nice info tho..good luck to everyone
19:18 that is totally ridiculous, that isn't a real pattern.
I was trying to be too clever by counting equilateral triangles instead of scalene, isosceles and so forth. UGH!🙄
when is this test provided by Amazon?
lol @ give yourself 5 to 10 seconds.... so generous with the time :-) pattern recognition takes longer, even for smart people. @ 19 minutes is not a pattern, it's just nonsense...
