    I upgraded from a cheap princess auto buffer/polisher to the dewalt after breaking the handle off. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfzbDkCRyv3CFXnLZI4APZtRRuG2uRmP2 The dewalt is beyond rugged! It's super comfortable to use and the "D" handle has many options for holding onto it if you are working in weird positions. The electronic speed control is precise and it has a nice variable speed trigger for slow ramp up.I have upgraded to the 3m quick change setup and been using it for 3 years for reconditioning gel coat on boats. It's hard work for any machine and I've had no issues. If you need a machine that can put in serious work, this is the one you want. If you want to light buffing, on your car, this is not the machine for you. It's easy to control but you can get yourself in trouble very quickly if you don't know what you are doing.

    How many rpm did you have your drill on? I find that when I use this drill, it's more effective at the tail rather than the tip when removing gel polish. Maybe because I tried to remove the gel regular polish on 4-5 rpm idk lol

    That paper band looked like it was probably a coarse one, they come in fine, medium and coarse if you buy them in packs.

    *Bought this as a replacement to a much more expensive product that did not work, Makartt 30000 RPM Nail Drill Machine. This is definitely worth the buy. I highly recommend buying this one instead of the more expensive $50 Nail drill.*

    don't go up and down (drill could swing around your finger) -> always do shorter swipes to your direction (away from cuticle), that's safer for beginners

    Wow great video! To the point and easy for beginners like me to follow. I was a bit anxious about using my drill but your video was very useful in easing my tension and educating me 🙌🏾

    LOL, your three week regrowth looked like mine in 4 days! The manicurist couldn't believe it, she boasted this would last 3 weeks or so, but no. I'm so glad I got this drill and watched your video, I walked around looking like a hot mess for 3 weeks because I have no time to see the manicurist due to moving homes and all the packing, cooking, working full-time etc. I finally was able to watch this and take care of it myself.

      Just use nail polish remover?

    • @theorem7047
      @theorem7047 3 года назад +4

      Nooo, definitely just use nail polish remover. A drill would be far too abrasive for that; unless you're extremely skilled you'd risk removing unnecessary layers of your nail. A drill can be preferable for gel nails, as seen here, because the only other alternative is to soak them in acetone for 15 minutes or longer

    Doesn't drilling damage nails? Then what's the point of it all?

    • @kateraynolds6746
      @kateraynolds6746 6 лет назад +11

      autsim, you don’t drill your actual mail, jusrvthe gel or acrylics that is on the nail.

      My nails got totally destroyed and I almost couldn’t bear the pain. I went to this place in Miami for the last 4-5 months and supposedly the manicurist put too much pressure while drilling my gel polish. Next time I needed to do my nails she wasn’t available and I went to another nail place. I already had noticed some sensitivity and some broken nails, like chattered, but when the manicurist saw my nails after applying acetone for 15 min she was in shock of how damaged my nails were and I wan crying my lungs out with the pain. She couldn’t even touch them !!!!! They were so thin and flimsy we couldn’t believe our eyes. She said your nails are completely destroyed. I went to a dermatologist and started treatment. Never again. I’m traumatized now with drilling since she and 2 teachers of beauty schools told me acetone is the right way to remove gel. Drill is more for acrylics, as I was explained. Just be careful. I wouldn’t like anybody to go what I went through.
