Money can protect us from sadness but it can't buy us joy. I agree with this!

Saying no to someone is like saying yes to yourself.

When the direction is clear, time is well spent in what is needed
Most important aspect is deciding the right direction and sticking on to it . Well explained the aspects in simple terms. Lot of good tips as take away 👍

This recommendation is remarkably oblivious to the reality that some people have no choice but to spend all their time working for money just to survive.

She talks about it in her book. Leaders in society can make systemic changes to fix that.

Maybe if we weren't forced to work 40++ hours every single week of our lives doing something that only pays the bills and does not truly fulfill us or bring us joy, a larger percentage of people would be happier. Giving this much time to work takes our time and energy away from being with family and friends more, hobbies we enjoy, learning new skills, exercising, cooking better meals... People should be protesting about the 40 hour workweek and protesting about getting a monthly universal basic income so maybe we can have more choices in our lives and stop giving so much power to our employers and to the rich. Employers should also be forced to provide at least 1 month off paid vacation after 1 year of loyalty and some flexibility in life but majority of them don't. There are so many things wrong with the system.

@@MakaveliFan71 Wow, I don't know how you do it 😧😓 Maybe working 40 hours wouldn't be so bad if I felt fulfilled, not sure. I know the medical field can be very fulfilling, not only because it pays very well but you're helping people. Everyone is different though. I like my job but not enough to be stuck there for 40+ hours anymore but I don't have many other options. I definitely applaud you for your dedication and your energy, for lack of better terms :)

5:25~5:50 why don't you use calendar? Before saying yes, check your calendar, you needn't remember everything planned in the future, but need know how to check everything planned in the future. Human brain doesn't like to remember every planned tasks, it's normal, we could use tools to help us on this task.

Could be just carrying a small book with you everywhere and reading a few pages when you have the opportunity (say like in a waiting room at a doctor's office).
