  • How to replace a battery on a Peugeot boxer?
In this short video I demonstrate how to remove a battery on a Peugeot boxer van. I'm using this video as a bit of a filler video in the van conversion series. I hope you enjoy and learn a bit as well. Thanks for stopping by!
In this video I try out my new camera which is a Sony ZV-1 this is the camera used that is focused on my throughout the video. The other camera used is a GOPRO hero 5.
Please feel free to ask any questions/comments down below!

!!! DO NOT USE ALL METAL TOOLS !!! like this guy - use insulated tools.
    Also:
Whenever a vehicle battery has to be disconnected, switch off all equipment, interior lights etc,
close the doors leaving the drivers window open.
Switch off the ignition and remove the key and any diagnostic equipment.
Wait a full 3 minutes before disconnecting the battery.
The BSi must be allowed to go to SLEEP i.e. into "active economy mode". Do not operate any
equipment on the vehicle during this time. Remember, even opening the bonnet
will wake the BSi on a vehicle fitted with alarm.
If the battery is under the bonnet, open the bonnet first and leave it up.
ALWAYS disconnect any diagnostic equipment and do not operate any other vehicles during the 3
    minute waiting period.
    PROCEDURE FOR BATTERY RECONNECTION
Unless otherwise instructed by Peugeot or Product Service, you must always carry out the
following procedure, often referred to as a "soft re-boot", to minimize the
possibility of the BSi corrupting its own software when reconnecting the vehicles battery supply.
Ensure the procedure for battery disconnection has been adhered to and importantly all BSi
functions were switched off with the drivers window left down.
    1 Close all doors
2 Remove ignition key if left in ignition
3 Reconnect battery. DO NOT open any doors
    4 Wait 10 seconds
5 Switch on headlights through the driver’s window
6 Switch on ignition then start the vehicle and check system functions

Could I ask what the red clip, where the Phillips screws are, is for. Mine is broken and don’t know if it’s vital.

I've flipped the quick release on the negative cable but still can't get it off. It's wobbling but it will not come off the post. I'm close to prying it off but don't want to make my problems any worse. Any thoughts?

no expert but is there any corrosion around it? maybe try turning it 180 see if anything breaks loose

@@berserkersden3951 I did get it loose. I ended up gently prying it off. It doesn't look to be corroded but I cleaned it any way.

@@allergic2bull I had the same issue. Ended up taking off the wire on the quick release and took the battery uit of the van. I then also pryed it off the old battery with the battery on a workbench.

Ok,how are you supposed to connect/disconnect battery if you are saying to reach in through drivers window to turn ignition on/off and not open any doors?? You have to be in the vehicle to do these things.
