DIMINISHED VALUE is a term you need to consider before buying one of these vehicles. If you want the biggest baddest and realize the end with these cars is near get the red eye because once they are gone that’s it. If you want to have fun and save some bread get a hellcat, trust me it’s more than you will ever need. I’ve had some fast cars and for a stock vehicle it boggles my mind that they still make these vehicles. If you really want to be ahead of the game there are plenty low mileage used cats that aren’t beat up, save yourself 30k. I earn a pretty good living and I drive a low mileage 15 manual cat with about 700whp. To build a new one that would spark my interest would cost me about 90k. Can I buy it sure, but is it worth it, naw. After the honeymoon phase is Over a 90k challenger will not bring me anymore joy than my 15 . That’s what Diminished value is all about.
I would like to get either or at this point for nostalgic sake because we're all riding into a quiet and bland future with these overly complicated electric vehicles. These cars along with the New Z (400z), C8 ZO6, and New GR86/BRZ will be a collector's items as well. (Vastly different cars but what they represent at this present time will not be recreated) Couple of odd balls cars to mention would be Focus RS, 10th Gen Type R, and up coming GR Corolla. Yes, I know this is a speed conversation but at this point anyone can go fast and set times. We need to start collecting these limited time gems as a piece of history. @@sjw811 Here is how weird I am: I like the exterior of the Focus RS but I don't like the interior of it at all; I do like the interior of the GR Corolla but don't care for it's exterior. Both of these 4-wheel hatches represent the same thing at each respective company if you think about it, thus their significance.

@@Elephant_Thoughts 😅 we are in the same boat, that’s exactly why I wished we had gotten the Yaris. The GR will not be a beauty by any stretch. I think that they are maybe competing with the type r civic in the style department and its just not a fight they should pick because I don’t think there are any winners in that one.
@@sjw811 And that's why the 10th gen Type R will have it's following because of its controversy decision with the styling and power train. The 11th gen will not be valued in the long run because it's clearly an answer to the previous owners complaints of the 10th gen. You can say the new GR86 / BRZ is a response gen too but the difference is that it's still in a category of its own that it marks it to perfection in this generation from the box "finally". Here's another hidden gem in the car culture; 15-17 Ford Mustang GT- yes, the build quality control is questionable but this is the model Ford made a lot of significant changes from the previous model/traditions.

Thanks Stefan for your help in deciding what to buy. I have the HP bug already. I enjoy my cat now and as you say there's always someone faster But I haven't come across him Yet. I'm in Arizona at 2000 ft elevation, I will pulley and tune my cat when I get someone who I can trust. In a couple of years I will be getting a Built 426 or 440 and keep the supercharger just to keep the sleeper look 😎 that will be a dangerous cat.
Get a Widebody in either one. I love my Indigo Blue Scat Pack Challenger Widebody and I was worried about traction issues with the Hellcat.

For all the reason that you said about which car to purchase is exactly why I chose the hellcat. My reasons were to have a nice fast street car and not a purpose built track car. Now don't get me wrong I will probably have the upgraded pulley added through the power broker but otherwise the car is plenty fast.
I have a 21 narrow body Challenger hellcat and a 21 WB Challenger Scat m6.
This video helped me make my decision. Said I’ll do a Redeye if the numbers are right but leaning more towards the Cat to have some more play room.

There are a 100% spot on perfect. Perfect video that information you gave is all a 100% correct. And yeah, the stage one in stage 2 kit takes the red eye up to 888 horsepower. Still under warranty could luck doing that with a hell kitty.

It's funny how everyone says just build a hellcat it will beat a redeye....but same as building a redeye...so it's all relevant....but the challenger hellcat redeye has all the demon power train as the demon just detuned....after finally getting my redeye I will never get rid of it.....great video.

A Redeye is a no brainer over a Hellcat because it's a Demon in sheep's clothing.
You should get an AWD SXT Charger and wait till dodge comes out with their next turbo in-line six and put it in a charger

Good content mane!!! Personally, I prefer the "slick syde" look over the Wide Body.... there weren't any 2019 Redeye Hell Cat Chargers with "slick syde" around at the time, so I got what was available, but you make solid points.

There were supercharger recalls on the earlier cars, like the other poster mentioned. I'd love to daily a scat 💯..... it's the best of all worlds in Mopar (power vs. cost wise)

For me I want the base hellcat I think it’s the sweet spot for hellcat line up if you not going to mod it or not going to a drag strip then you don’t really need more than a 717 hp

I almost traded my R/T in for a 6 speed Plum Crazy HC last week but I just couldn't stomach paying the current market prices. They wanted $57k for a 6 yr old car that was $64k new with 30k miles

I've been looking at new and used Hellcats every day and it baffles my mind what they're going for used. Same issue back in 2015 when I was shopping for a 12-14 Charger R/T. I ended up saying fuck it and ordered a new 15 and spec'd it out nicely and couldn't have been happier and with 0% apr on a new car it actually came out way cheaper. 12-14s were too close to new prices so there was no savings once you factor used car interest vs new! Now here I go again and my dealer has a used 21' Charger HC with 9k for $82k. On the Dodge site I built a Redeye for a little over $90k and that's a 2022 that's not even built yet! Average 15-19s are still close to their original selling prices. At this point I'll stick with new since you're gonna get screwed either way.
@@LSp8 yea man there's a salvage one near me selling at market value for a clean title car. $48k 2016 with 35k miles SALVAGE title. It's nuts. I just decided to spend my money on a built motor for this car instead and run with it for a few more years until I can afford the viper I really want

Very good advice bro we have a 2020 challenger R/T and we just simply enjoy it for what it is and not trying to make it as fast as a scat pack or hell cat ppl just need to appreciate the cars for what they are if you can’t get something like a hell cat or a hell cat red eye because honestly from the 5.7 on up all these cars are fun and gonna be collector’s years on down the line

I would get a regular WIDE BODY Hellcat Challenger over the Red Eye only if it had a 6 speed manual.
I want upgrade my 392…I’d go for the Hellcat. Although the Redeye does have a bunch of upgrades, I still think I’d be happy.

I always thought of the redeye a waste of money compared to the hellcat cause the money difference you could add power and get similar results of a redeye
But the redeye itself gets a bigger blower, and correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure the redeye gets some forged internals
@@speedtab215 regular hellcat has forged internals as well. Simple to get the same power of a red eye with a regular hellcat. Pin the crank, upper pulley swap, injectors and a tune.

Me and twin brother keep going back and forth on which one we are getting. I keep saying the Scat Pack is fine. He keeps saying that the Scat Pack widebody is better because of the options. Unless you intend on going to the track where things are more likely to break, it's not worth it. The drivetrain is better, but both of my hellcats (current and past) have problems with traction on the street. The redeye will be even worse. Unless you throw a tire on to help it, getting the power down is difficult. Besides, where are you going to use all that power on the street without getting locked up? This is what makes the scat pack a great value for the street, less power but it is better putting it down than a hellcat. Besides, look at Racer X here on youtube, 1000+ horsepower hellcat charger (when he had it) (original engine) for a modest sum of money, a pulley, fuel injectors/pump, E85 and a tune and was a 9+ second car.

Resurrect your Indigo Blue Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody.
Yeah man I see where your coming from and I do agree but if you bought a hellcat before the redeye came out then why get gouged twice. When I can build this hellcat to beat a redeye with a better blower or turbo than a 2.7 IHI blower. Sure if you were to keep it stock for collector purposes yeah but really who cares about that I’m a drivers kind of guy who puts miles on my cars not just garage kept unless broken. From a bolt on perspective and pushing stock internal/blower capes and gambling on a motor because your pushing it beyond engineering specs of the materials then yes redeye all day.
