Most of this Aircraft were built 1957-63 and many are still in use today. Engine upgrades, good maintenance management and a very simple but strong design.
I grew up around these. Davis monthan. See them every day. ❤
Too bad the KC45 is taking so long to develop...it will hold 70% more fuel and is more economical to fly..giving longer mission ovals.

You cannot compare the United States and Russia because although both are great military forces, the United States has a larger military, more advanced equipment, more experienced personnel and most importantly an annual military budget that dwarfs that of Russias budget. 참고로 프로브 앤 드로그 방식도 조작원이 타는데, 러시아제 일류신 Il-78의 경우 원본 Il-76 수송기가 후방기총이 있다보니(최신형 제외) 후방사수석을 개조해서 잘 써먹고 있다고 합니다.

It’s not fuel I think they blow compressed air during the separation process for some reason and I don’t know why . Or it could be fuel and the compressed air purges whatever is left in the line all over the airplanes windscreen.

I always wondered how the fuel vapor from the disconnect didn’t cause issue with the engines until I started working around aviation and aviation fuels.
I went on a refuel mission one time when I was in the Air Force laid back there with a boomer that's a pretty cool job retired USAF
