My father passed away ten years ago.
This year, in memory of dad, I challenged myself to travel further than I've been before.
Because without challenge there are no memories.
And memories are everything.
This is the full film.
#adventuremotorcycle #crf #tet #transeurotrail #crf300
This is the best motorcycle documentary I've seen so far. It's a masterpiece. Your dad would be proud of you.
Wow, this is high praise - thank you. Glad you enjoyed it
🙌🏻🙏🏼 absolutely agree.
I’m a 46 year old who escaped the rat race in the UK and now lives in the mountains of Northern Vietnam. I ride for fun every day I can. The world is a wonder to be behold and the joy of discovery is something everyone should do as often as you can manage.
Thanks for taking us on your journey. I loved every second.
Tell me more! I've long wondered if I should do something similar 👀
Brother this was fantastic. I thought I'd share my story as at the end you mentioned community. I'm a 36 year old Harley rider living near Portsmouth. Recently been getting into the ADV world. Lost my father 5 years ago. My best friend. It's never been the same since. Grappling has saved me ao far. But I've tried to be creative. I've tried to find purpose. Everything is still mostly empty. Thank you for sharing your story it really did touch a nerve inside me. I'm on the edge of trying ADV trips. Maybe a US trip on the harley. Thanks for a big nudge towards finding whatever it is I'm looking for. Sam
Hi Sam, thanks for sharing this. Can I ask what you meant by 'grappling'?
I couldn't agree more that creativity helps a lot. The process of starting with nothing and ending with something is a useful one, and it is not easy. But then, nothing easy is ever worthwhile.
I hope to see you in the community when we launch soon as it seems you are exactly the type of person that would both benefit from it, but also be a welcome contributor.
Either way, I hope my future films are a support.
@@projectbiker Yes mate I'll join the community for sure! Grappling is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu mate. It's been my crutch for a long time. Helps me stay sober and eat right and stay disciplined! I have a GoPro and DJI Pocket plus an epic laptop to edit on but my procrastination is heavy haha! Thanks for the reply dude!
@@LoxleysEscapePlan The reason or purpose is to be happy, to be conscious. To be grateful. Everything has a reason, nothing just happens. If you are sad it is because of your thoughts, if you are happy it is because of your thoughts. You decide what thoughts you have. In December 2022, my father left planet Earth. Since that time, I have devoted myself almost entirely to my mind and consciousness, reading countless books, watching and listening to audio books, seminars, etc.... (Eckhart Tolle, for example)
I wish you love and peace.
@@thaynamite Thanks for the reply! I attended a Tolle event in Albert Hall in London recently, it was pretty good! I made it through a few of his books. I wouldn't consider what I suffer with is sadness, it's more of an abundance of purpose and meaning. I've done so many things in my life and whatever I commit to just doesn't hold anything other than emptiness.
@@LoxleysEscapePlan
Oh, I'm so happy that you even saw him live. Then I'm sure you already know the answer, it doesn't matter what you do, you won't find what you're looking for, it's all within you. The answer lies in being rather than doing. Maybe it will help you to practice gratitude for all the beautiful things you are able to experience. Quite spiritual, philosophical... greetings
White socks. Very brave man fair play to you. Lovely well put together film of your adventure.
you are a good man, brother, and a true adventurer. toda raba for your story ✊
Thank you! I really appreciate it
Wow. Wow. Superbly put together. And the most courageous aspect is not the journey but the baring of your soul. I am envious.
Everyone should bear their soul and put it on RUclips 😂 Ok maybe not, but for me it just felt like the right time. Thank you for the kind words
I'm glad RUclips decided to recommend this.
Amazing film, be it scenery, storytelling, shots, philosophy, or describing your relationship with your father.
Safe travels and keep it coming. ❤️
I'm glad RUclips sent you here, too! Thank you for the kind words
Superb…
Traveling alone on a motorcycle is a special place for the mind.
It really is, thank you
So much more than just a road trip , me and my dad live on different sides of the globe and after watching this I'm going to give him a call while I still can. Stay strong, your Dad would be proud.Miss you Mom and always will
Thanks for sharing this David. You are not the first person who has told me they called their Dad after watching this and I feel that is something really valuable that has come out of this film.
My Dad once said that we never really die, we live on through our children. Perhaps this is true for your Mum ❤️
I have now watched this four times over already! It is the most evocative, beautifully shot and best edited adventure motorcycle film I've ever watched. Each time it finished I was sad that it had! I'm not one to easily shed a tear but the story of your relationship between you and your dad was truly moving. Keep making excellent films!👍
Wow, I am very honoured that it kept you engaged for four viewings. I must be doing something right! Thank you for sharing your thoughts, it means a lot
Thank you for sharing these memories and your personal story with us. Although we don’t know each other, the film you’ve made touched me in a very beautiful and deep way. I also share some common ground with you-the solitude we feel in our lives, the travel, the passion for bikes, the way we express ourselves, and so on. It also made me reflect on and remember a few trips I’ve taken around Europe and all those special moments and insights we gain along the way. I’ll be subscribing! Thanks, mate! 😉
Welcome aboard! Glad to have you here. I'm delighted you felt a connection to the films. Have you ever considered filming your own trips?
Thank you very much for this fantastic roadtrip
Best regards from Sweden
Thank you Sweden! Appreciate it
Jeee, I didn't realise how much I needed this video mate.. Absolutely inspiring & conjuring.. I'll be following along your travels. Thanks again 🙌🏻
I'm glad it came to you at the right time, and that it helped. Thanks for the comment
fantastic film! stunning to be honest. beautiful landscapes in former yugoslavia--you have a bit of everything!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed:)
Thank you. Great content. Great story. I’m 62 and still miss my dad
Perhaps this is a good thing? I'd prefer to miss him than not - it means he meant something. Thanks for sharing
Awsome movie. Enjoyed every minute. Bravo! ❤
Thank you! Appreciate it
Hard not to be inspired by this, as an already adventurous soul this video speaks volumes. My father is still here and also rides bikes and every mile is a joy to share with him. Thankyou
That's awesome that you rode together. I hope you enjoy it for a long time 👍
Bloomin 'eck, this is awesome. Beautifully shot, constructed and narrated. Truly inspiring and life affirming. I'm still editing footage from my European motorbike trip from the summer. Yours is next level!
Thanks buddy, hope I get the chance to help you with that footage in the future!
Wow thanks for sharing your adventure 🤓😎🏍💨💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦🍻from British Columbia
Hello Canada! I visited your part of the world a while ago but as a road trip with friends in the car. I'd love to get out there in the future for a bike trip, it's an incredible part of the world.
I've watched the episodes as and when they were released and they were all very good, but this entire film raises the story you're telling to another level. Excellent. 👍 Please mark my comment out of 10. 😉
Haha! 9 out of 10! Just need you to add a personal story that relates to the theme and it would hit the big 10 level😎
Amazing enjoy this film so much keep up the brilliant work. Very inspirational.
Thanks buddy, really appreciate it
I was under the weather this weekend and used the time to watch all three films. Magnificent. Thoughtful. Absolute joy to watch and share your trips with you. Thank you! I look forward to your next.
Amazing! Which one was your favourite?
A very inspiring film for me, thank you.
Glad to hear you feel inspired 💪
What beautiful country,s you went through And it was humbleing to hear what relationship you had with your dad very much like I had with mine I could never understand him but he had seen and experience more than me having gone through a war for 6 years .he passed away when I was 18 I am 68 now and still wander what he would of made of me .great video though .👍
Thanks Gordon. I found this comment quite moving to read. It must have been difficult to lose your father at 18, and I can't imagine what he has been through in the war for such a long time.
I also wonder what my father would have thought, and it makes me incredibly sad to think he'll never see this film. But that's ok. It's part of life and I feel he would have enjoyed it. He once told me that we never really die - we live on through our children. It feels better to think about this.
Thank you for sharing.
I felt connected due to the continuity of the scene of removing the boots after a long day's ride and the sense of the journey because of the accumulation of dust on your boots.
Your openness in sharing deeper details and emotions was touching. I too experience an upwelling of emotion at the memory of my father at the culmination of training, when he acknowledged his pride.
Your film was enriching and has me thinking too about my forthcoming solo travels. I expand in solitude and haste retreats. The thrill of unadulterated time at a pace of my choosing.
God bless.
Thank you for this comment, I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts. I hope it has been helpful with your preparation for how to approach your upcoming solo trip. 👍
So glad I found you and your extraordinary video. I loved watching it so much and was even moved to tears by the words you said and the breathtaking pictures. We rode some of your roads in Bosnia and Montenegro ourselves in 2024 with our bikes.
Thank you so much for this beautiful and heartwarming film ❤.
Best wishes from Germany 😊
Thank you for sharing this. I hope the footage took you back to your trip 👍
Well I was going to the cinema tonight, then I saw the notification for this pop up. 🙏🏼
Well it feels like I have just been to the cinema after watching this🎥👌🏼 such amazing film
That has a wonderful purpose, raw emotion, incredible encounters. Take a bow Nick, this is outstanding 🙌🏼🎥👌🏼truly inspiring 👍🏼😎🧦💚
I love that this took the place of an actual cinema film! I'd love to play one of my films in a cinema in the future
@ it won’t be long Nick, I’m sure!
Awesome pictures, gorgeous esceneries as a support/ trigger to meditation, connected with your father and yourself. Riding my bike induces me into that kind of meditation too, and you've expressed it perfectly in this great movie. Thanks also to make us discover Bosnia and Montenegro. Maybe a future destination for a roadtrip, off and/or on-road.
It really does feel like a mediative experience, both riding the bike and crafting the film. Glad you also feel this way
Amazing 👌 Wonderful words and editing. Looks like you had such a bond with your father. You are so lucky. When times are hard, watching things like this give u hope. God bless u 👍
Amazing that you say it gives you hope, I didnt think of that angle. Really appreciate the comment, thank you
Your films are quite simply superb. Inspirational. I have travelled all over Europe,, but the is so much more. The kids you teach are very lucky.
Wow, how kind of you to say! Thank you, I really appreciate it. More to come!
Fantastic job. Well done. Dad would be proud of you for such a production. Your adventure has got restless and itching to ride further afield alone. I have been suffering long covid for the past 3 years which has made travel tricky. I have managed 3 trips into Europe with a god mate and always extended my trip by a few more days to spend time alone and boost my confidence and help to manage my condition.
Condition or not, you got out there. Well done buddy. Keep pushing 💪
Absolutely excellent!
Thank you, appreciate it 🙏
Awsome videos and storytelling.
Thank you, really appreciate it
Wow.. just wow. ❤
Thank you! Appreciate it
That's a wicked piece of work you have created. A year ago I completed a 15 month solo journey on my bike through africa middle east then on to the uk and your narration on this film has put words to so many thoughts that I had cheers.if your ever in nz beers on me
Thank you to New Zealand! I might just take you up on that offer in the future. I'm so pleased you feel I captured things accurately, it took a while to get right but was worth it.
I enjoyed your moto vlog and video! The way you captured the journey, the scenery, and the thrill of the ride was absolutely fantastic-it felt like I was riding along with you. If you're planning future adventures at the region, I’d love to suggest Kosovo as a destination. It offers some incredible off-road routes, especially in the mountainous region between Kosovo and Albania. The rugged terrain, breathtaking views, and unique cultural experiences along the way make it a must-visit for any adventure enthusiast. Thanks again for sharing your incredible journey, and I’m excited to see where your next ride takes you!
Thank you for these tips. Visiting the area made me realise just how incredible the whole region is, and how strikingly different it is to what I've previously seen in Western Europe. I absolutely need to get out there again soon.
A hole new level of travling flim 👍
Amazing!!🔥🔥🎬🎬👌
Thanks buddy, glad you think so!
I'm so glad that I found this channel scrolling through
RUclips searching for motorcycle that I thinking to buy. I've been leaving in London 25 years now and I decided this is it. After travelling to Montenegro for the past 6 years my Wife and me we decided to move to this beautiful country.
Your movie is stunning with amazing memories and life experience that you will never forget.
That's awesome! Which part of the country did you move to? I admit I also considered it after visiting Steve!
@projectbiker We're going to Tivat -Donja Lastva Kotor Bay. My dream is to buy a motorcycle 🏍️ and just explore this beautiful country and if you decide to visit again just let me know.
Don't stop sharing your amazing videos.
Thanks for taking us with you on your adventure. For now , I am still and just a computer screen adventurist.Hope to live my own adventure soon.Stay safe...
You absolutely can do it buddy. The seed has been planted! Thank you for the kind words
Un des plus beaux films de voyage intérieur et extérieur 👍
Thank you Vincent! Delighted you feel this way.
perfection ...... nicely done.
Thanks buddy 👍
Absolutely awesome, heatfelt and deeply touching. Certainly not just your average moto adventure ride. A challenge to the Longway series. Loved every minute of it. Thank you from a motorcycle adventurer from down Under (Australia and NZ). PS: I ride a KTM 390 - smaller bikes are best!
I loved the Long Way series but can't believe they had so much support! Maybe it was harder to film back then but now I am a complete film studio on my own. I'd love to have help with some of the paperwork in going to such places though...
@@projectbiker If you ever plan to travel Down Under or NZ, please let me know. Previously, I lived in the Lake District and Perth (Scotland). Incidentally, did you make any significant changes to the 300 Rally? I gather there is a suspension update for 2025. PS: Have you watched Adventure Country Tracks? Some of their videos are entertaining.
Fantastic....moving.....all the best from Canada!
Thank you Canada! Really appreciate it
Very nice indeed! Thank you for taking the time to create a work of art! May you continue to enjoy what you do.
And thank you for taking the time to comment!
Wonderful Film
Thank you! 😎
Project Biker! Step forward.... watching this as a series was just awesome....but as a movie, what you do so well as a conclusion to the series is just breath taking!! As always my friend, thank you... just thank you!
Thanks Julian! Really appreciate it and delighted you enjoyed it as a film, as was intended :)
Absolutely brilliant. I love the films you make and the story telling around them
Thank you, I really enjoy making them and seeing comments like these!
Grate video! Thank you! Regards from Serbia!🙂
Hello Serbia! Thank you, I really appreciate the comment
Fantastic production. Well done mate
Thanks buddy, really appreciate it
One of the best. We'll done mate
Awesome to hear! Thank you :)
Nick I have to say off all the contain creators I enjoy watching I have to say your the best. I’ve watch’s all your trips you’ve done and they’re so enjoyable to watch. From the very first one going off road in France heading for the alps. Then to Spain and this just fantastic. You tell a lovely story.
I'm delighted to read this! I've aimed to do something a little different to what I've seen online before, and hope it inspires others to do the same. It's more achievable than you think.
Really appreciate you letting me know your thoughts.
Happy future travels.
Thank you, you too
Great film 💚
Thanks buddy
Fantastic video, I'm delighted. One of the best moto vlogs I've seen. You could also visit Serbia, which is also beautiful and wonderful for riding a motorcycle.
I will 100% be heading back to that part of the world as I have I finished business!
Really nice video, seemed like a beautiful trip.
Thank you!
What an amazing journey I'm so glad I found your film. This is what I always wanted to do, hop on the bike and ride into the unknown. Despite the fact I sold my bike and moved out of the UK the desire to do it is still deep inside me. Maybe one day I will be lucky enough to follow my dreams. Don't stop! Keep going and take care!
A cheap used bike is never far away! Get on it :)
@projectbiker Im saving for CRF300L :)
Great video mate. Greetings from Montenegro.
Hello Montenegro! Thank you for being so welcoming:)
Wow. Truly one of the best ive watched. Backline story about your dad really built up the movie. Well done
Thank you! I hope this film is something which will appeal to people beyond those who are bikers.🙏
A wonderful and inspiring film. I watched it from beginning to end in one go, I didn't notice how the hour passed. Beautiful images, amazing adventures and an instructive story.❤😃
Thank you, I'm delighted you watched it all the way through and didn't notice the time! Thanks for commenting :)
What a great video, excellent job and so personal. I also loved the part with your mother and the picture of your dad in his memory, you look like him but a 2.0 version.
2.0 version! Love it. Thank you, really appreciate it
You’re welcome, looking forward to your new videos. I have published a few about the Alpine trails but nowhere near your personal approach and quality. 😊
Here for my homecountry., Montenegro! Proud to belong here
Hello Montenegro! Welcome, my friend. Proud to have you here.

Beautiful piece of work, a great legacy!
I hadn't thought about it as a legacy before, but you are right! Thank you

Once again another fantastic video full of inspiration, I’ve watched it 3 times.
I have ribbed these countries and looking forward to ridding further to Greece later this year.
Hopefully one day we will meet on the trails

Hey you wonderful british bikerteacherman - your work is just wonderful peaceful calm.
Thanks for sharing! I
I did some journeys like you did.
Germany, Alps, Italy, Balkan, Morocco and complete crazy wonderful Nepal. All alone, without cameras, just my
phone. One trip, maybe the most important was the one with my oldest son to the Altas... maybe there is something to share... if you like.
Best for you Martin
Thanks Martin, you have been to some incredible places. I would love to get to Nepal soon. It looks amazing
Wonderful
Thanks, really appreciate it
What a legend!
Thanks buddy, appreciate it 👍
London to Montenegro is like a recreational week-long ride. It's not "finding out what's beyond" even if you draw your route on an ancient-looking sepia-toned map :-))))))
Thanks for letting me know!
Thank you very much Nick. Already signed up my interest to ‘join in’ so looking forward to that. Just had a nice quiet evening in watching the entire thoroughly engaging film. I’ve also just bought a CRF300 Rally. Now wondering which action camera to purchase plus microphone and what editing software to use. Early days but some recommendations on gear would be appreciated. Keep up the awesome work.
Thanks Richard, looking forward to seeing you in there when we launch! In terms of gear or action cam, the good news is that the big three (DJI, Insta 360 or Go Pro) all have incredible devices so you can't go wrong. Key is to just get one and start 👍
Brilliant video again.can i ask ...do you edit yourself? It's great how the videos put together and a good watch everytime😊
I do! I'm self taught so learning all the time. The key is to just get started and then think of one thing to improve each time. At the end of the film there's a message about joining a community to get help on this, if you are interested.
@@projectbikerthe link didnt work for me its comes up as insecure connection? Trying to teach myself too .lots of errors but learning along the way too.
Einfach nur klasse! Ich finde es sehr schön das du uns an deinen Gedanken und dem Prozess des Gedenkens an deinen Vater teil haben lässt. Hast du evt noch den gpx Daten?
I have the gpx saved but it's really just the TET files which are available for free online. If there was a specific part you would like to know more about I'd be happy to explain where it is etc...
The scenery from above is fantastic
What drone do you use?
Thank you 👍. I use a DJI Mini 3 Pro as it's small enough to fit in my tank bag
Do you work in filmography, because this is amazingly professional!
I don't work in film but thank you for the compliment!

Less melancholy, more action.
Is this advice or an observation?
@ Observation, however it can be used as advice if your main goal is motorcycles, nature and adventure. If you just want to share a personal story, this can work, too. You’re obviously getting a lot of views anyway.
... and suddenly you're in it, you're in it ...
A great quote said by a very wise man... 😎
Hola. Felicidades por tu viaje!! Estoy a punto de comprar la Crf300 rally. Es una moto que recomendarías? Hechas en falta potencia a la hora de trayectos largos? Gracias.
I think it depends. If you will spend more time on the road, you may feel the lack of power is a problem. But for me, I bought it to spend as much time as possible on the trails and there it works great. If you are taking a long journey it is also really reliable and easier to fix it needed 👍
Has cambiado suspensiones a la moto?
Yes, but only the back suspension. Now I need to change the front because every time I brake hard on the road I almost headbutt the floor 😂. But it's fine off-road.
When starting the Fuel Injected bike, don't twist the throttle. It's not a carburetor. Twisting throttle on EFI bike while starting it, just will make it harder to start. You are messing with the TPS - throttle position sensor and air intake, and the whole starting map is out of place, struggling to start. Just a button is enough, the fuel pump and fuel pressure valve will do what needs to be done to start the bike.
I've learnt that if a Honda doesn't start the first time - give it a minute!
Pure TET romantic...
I do love my TET!
@@projectbiker Is it love? Or is it dependency? Or maybe even addiction? For myself, I am not clear... ;-)
@@OlliR1602 Best not to think about it and just ride! 😂
