Although not a camelback, I own a Kriega Hydro water bladder backpack. The way I fixed MOST of the taste issue with mine was to dissolve a sterilising tablet with water in the sink. Then dump the bladder and the drinking tube, making sure water got through the tube. Then wait for them to air dry properly. I also use a HydraPak filter and I am happy with the taste now.

Great content. Love it. About plastic taste, you could get a "flask with mouthpiece tube attachment". There are universal solutions or specific attachments for specific bottles. Then you can use whatever bottle you have on hand or buy a proper insulated flask with a tube and mouthpiece.

As always high quality film, great comment and perfect scenery. To get rid off the plastic taste… Flush with hot water en bleach or with full fat milk. Leave the milk in for an hour and then flush with plenty of water. When not in use, flush with water and store in freezer. Prevents bacteria.
I usually freeze the camelbak and drink the water as the ice melts. The cold temp usually helps mask the plastic flavor but I’m definitely going to try your milk method. Thanks for the tip!
I don't understand why this channel and videos has so little views. It is level above any other moto channel. Keep up the good work. Regards from fellow moto channel :)
PS. For the plastic taste, add some 1 or 2 flavored electrolytes tablets to the water. You can buy them in any health store or supermarket, it makes a big difference and helps a lot with hydration. 👍👍
Regarding your Camelback backpack, you must put water with sugar. Fill up completely and throw 3 or 4 full spoons of sugar and let it for 3 days. Rinse well and fill with fresh water, the plastic taste or any smell will be gone!

Stunning adventure. I use Steradent in a new hiking bladder, it then needs to be washed out with lots of cold water.
