A comedian from way back, Ben Elton, said "underneath we are all scared little farties" and how true that is. Not many rise to their spirit of adventure as facing the unknowns is simply too daunting. You did it though. You thought it.... and then you did it. Its yours now. ❤👊👏
I love a little risk factor. That’s why I have seen things in the last 57 years not many people will dare or want to see. It’s cultural shock that I love & different lifestyles you experience on your travels. Enjoy & keep the throttle open 👍🏆
What an amazing adventure. Me and my son are watching your videos now and we love it. We are as "new beginner" as you are. We understand every word you say, when you panicked on that mountain edge. Of course we love to watch Itchy Boots, but I like your videos even more. Please keep on doing this. Can't wait to look at your next trip. We're starting with the Monaco trip now. Greetings Jimmy and Pat from Norway.
@@pat.t6026 Thank you! I really was panicking on that mountainside, and felt silly about it after. Definitely considered not sharing it but knew I had to. My next film is being released very soon and I think you will like it a lot - there is a father/son theme to it.
Its not about the goal and its not about the way. Its who you become on the way. Ive just returned from a camping only motorbike trip to Portugal from Manchester on a little cb125f. It was hard physically and emotionally but the adversity has made me strong. Thank you for sharing your incredible adventure.
Congratulations on becoming a great story teller, a film maker. I went on my adventure around Spain’s Picos down to the South and back with my Dad 2 years ago and lived every moment of that again through your film. I did the Pyrenees and up to the Alps and Switzerland this year. All of it is beautiful but there really is something about Spain that I don’t think can be competed with. No traffic, warm weather and endless roads. Incredible place to take a bike. Thank you for your film and reminding me of my trips with my Dad each year!
Delighted that I could bring back fond memories, Andy. You're right, Spain really is a different world, like a portal to Africa, away from the noise of the rest of Europe. I need to explore there more.
Excellent job. Any good adventure is just outside of the comfort zone. Add in surprises and a few strangers along the way and you have a story worth telling. Thanks
Excellent adventure, storytelling, photography and honestly. Thanks for this. I rode to Gorafe from northern UK with 2 friends on massively heavy ADV bikes. Fatigue is your enemy, it’s a slippery slope thereafter; worry and anxiety are two unwelcome companions. All the best to you on your next adventure!
Thank you! I think it's ok to doubt, as long as you don't let the doubt stop you from doing something. I wanted to include these thoughts in the film to paint a true picture of how I was feeling. More adventures to come soon!
I've been saving this...let's be honest, film! For the right day, rain and overcast outside... today is that day. Beautifully filmed, exquisitely edited and passionately narrated. Nick you are a good friend to me as I have been with you on all your biking adventures, watching your struggles and successes those quiet moments of seeing where the CRF brought you for those dramatic views... but you have yet to meet me ...who knows all are futures are yet to be written, be looking out for you Buddy. 👍👍👍👍
I know exactly what you mean about feeling like you know someone but they don't know you yet! I love that I can take people along with me on these adventures. Perhaps I'll see you out there one day.
Oh hell yes! This is my favourite type of response to my videos. Reach out to me on Instagram if you'd like any support, I'm more than happy to help. Good luck my friend.
THANKS. A big one. I've experienced your travel. You've made me enjoy watching and listening to your story, even more that you did with the previous one. The modesty on you makes it great and, besides that, you're not trying to sell us a thing. You have also discovered some places that I didn't know about in my country. I hope you keep on creating on this way and I'll be looking after buying one of your t-shirts in case you create them. ENJOY. And thanks again. Let me know when you come back to Spain in case I can help or buy you a beer!
The bike on your logo is cool. And your youtube adress, maybe? Whatever. I guess I won't be the only one who buys it and hope that helps you on next adventures... Regards and thanks for your previous answer!
to watch someone of little experience taking on such a challenge was a true joy so many of these videos are highly experienced riders making these adventures look so easy, watching your struggles and triumphs was a pleasure and the words you use are spoken from the heart well done keep enjoying the rides.
There really isn't! I miss having someone around in the evening but love the sense of freedom and exploration I get from riding solo through new lands.
I’d have to disagree dude unless your an experienced rider and even then there could be no mobile coverage Brake a leg or clavicle ect Group adventure riding 👍
This came on randomly while I was cleaning my teeth after leaving RUclips ok in the hotel lol. Ended up watching it all until the end and it’s now 12:30am. Great video, great memories you have there. Thanks for the video
what an amazing adventure with such emotion and brilliant story telling that I could only dream of doing one day. thank you for the journey and adventure you took and captured
This was the most amazing motorcycle adventure movie You shared your challenges and emotions I feel like stuck in loop of life. I have a tiger 800 xc and want to tour. This channel will boom because of these movies
I think this feeling is very common, and easy to do. In fact, my upcoming film speaks exactly about this point. I released the trailer for it today and hope to have it released within a month.
@projectbiker can't wait Can you please talk about how did you break away from job and home loop of life and went for touring. Like how do you do that ( managing work , home life, overcoming depressing thoughts) and do it Once again this was the best touring video I have ever seen You will only grow bigger from here
That was the most inspiring journey I have ever seen, so professional and brilliant, a lesson in learning, self confidence and growing ones owe mind, pushing your limits and carrying the memories for everyone to share. It made me think and imagine the doubts and struggles that adventures like Scott and Shackleton would have had, but to fight the doubts and overcome the fears, to push beyond your fears and win. Your hurdles cleared with gratitude to the planet and those around you, a film in its self. Thank you. 🙏
Wow, this is high praise. Thank you so much. It's great to receive comments like these and see the hard work resonating with some people. Really appreciate your comment, thank you
wow, what an amazing adventure.... like you said "on a light bike" the main reason I sold my F800GS and brought the Honda 300 l. Extremely well edited, brilliant camera work and very interesting to watch. It is not about arriving at your destination...its all about the journey to it!
After just seeing both of your full Movies, I am just blown away. You made me smile, going emotional, going back on my memories with the rental car experiences in the nineties, exploring the desert (without GPS) in the southwest of the usa (I felt alone but happy to) and so on. It’s just perfect to think it over to make some own stories again - this time on the Motorbike. No Google translate - just the way I try to express myself in english. Cheers from Switzerland and thank you!
It's awesome that this film was able to bring back those happy memories. Thank you for this comment. Perhaps it's time to go make some more memories? 😉
Realistic, not depressing. I can relate and have felt the same way many times on longer trips. Some times I have turned around and gone home after a day or two. Seat Concepts is a must in my opinion. Cheers from 59 year old 250 Rally owner in Norway.
Hello Norway! I'm glad you can relate. I didn't have a Seat Concept seat for my upcoming trip that I have already filmed (coming soon) but I think I'll try one for the next one!
What are you? Filmmaker, traveller, philosopher? You are all of these things my friend. I ride and adore Spain, but on road. It's the end of October in Scotland now and your film has rekindled fond memories from earlier in the year of Spanish sunshine, mountains and forests. Moreover, you've inspired in me a desire to go off-road like you - not on a truck on two wheels, but on the amazing RF.
Wow. A real movie, watched from start to finish on the tv. Hands down best adventure moto video i have seen. Great storey telling, great editing and music choice. 5* production
The narration is Top class and i think you really put together the Emotion and Feeling that Everyone with a Passion for Bikes will know only too well. Even those of us who only Aspire to take the leap in to the unknown of Adventure trips
Brilliantly filmed and narrated, you are a brave man to set off on TET by yourself, it really must have been daunting at time, but you made it, made friends on the way, I'm sure you laughed plenty and maybe shred or nearly shred a tear at some point, heart pumping and sweating, bet you felt alive on your journey. Really enjoyed your adventure, and the imagery you filmed, Briliant!!😃😃
I'm lucky enough to live in Southern Spain and ride around these kinds mountains on my days off, but I think you're right, it doesn't cut it unless you're far from home. I always call it 'playing in my garden' when I'm out in the hills. I've got to say, when you set off and instantly had to look for tyres I thought "who sets off on a journey without prepping their bike first?", but I guess that was part of your adventure. Well done, great videography and editing!
I'm jealous, that area of the world has some great trails! Try to enjoy them, even though they are close to home. I didn't want to change my tyres before setting off as I knew I had 1000km of motorway first, so thought I would burn through a new set needlessly. I searched ahead of time to find a place that could change them when I arrive.
That gate killed me! At first I thought I wouldn't be able to get through at all and there was no way I could get back up... Glad you are feeling inspired, get out there!
Thank you for sharing. Thank you for verbalising the highs, lows and the mundane. I tell my kids to get out and see the world as soon as they can, I hope they do. Great inspiration right here. Thank you and stay safe buddy. 🍻👍🏻👊🏻
This is good advice for them, the sooner they can head out into the unknown the more rounded they will become. Thanks for the comment, really appreciate it
BIG THANKS I think you have translated the feeling of your journey very well into the film. I recognized a lot of my own experiences and feelings traveling on my bike. Prior to my first real off-road ride in the mountains, I took an off-road course (of a few hours). This helped me enormously with the first steep descents and climbs on bad terrain. Basic for climbs ; standing position and keeping the pace/momentum. On the CRF300 , not to slow and in second gear.
That's a great trip and a beautiful video, thanks so much. Your honesty about the emotions we go through when we push out of the comfort zone is very supportive. Roll on the next adventure!
Thank you, I really enjoyed that, great filming and thought provoking commentary. I've done similar but always on tarmac, never on motorways and never in winter! But could I........
Wow, what a beautifully told adventure. Inspirational, honest and humble, to watch a video with no ego is so rare and refreshing. Your depth of character is warming and production capabilities impressive. I loved it and can’t wait to catch up on all your videos. An instant follow. Thank you
Thanks Jaime, I'm glad it came across in this way, I just shared what I feel are the interesting parts of the trip. The next film is being edited now and shaping up really well. Coming soon!
Thanks for the video, and your story! I’ve had several day trips on my bike. But, just recently, I had a trip like this with a friend. It was refreshing, and healing, to just ride, explore, and experience the adventures each day. Still thinking of Mom each day like I’ve done the past months since she’s been gone. Knowing one day we would meet again and I could share my story with her. For now, she waits for me on the other side.
Hi George, sorry to hear about your mum passing. I think you are going to find my next film interesting as it has a link to dealing with loss. In my case, my father. I'm working hard on it and would estimate a few more weeks of editing to go yet.
Fantastic travel video mate. Your photography and storytelling are outstanding in painting a picture of the whole trip. You gave the viewers the feeling of being beside you, in your struggles & happier moments & like all of us that ride home on the motorways always seems so painful & dull in comparison, to the adventures past. Keep up the great work fella you have a talent for it. Ps don’t ride the clutch so much, that’s why it wore down and started slipping. All the best.
That's Andrew, I really appreciate it. It takes a long time to get to a point I'm happy to share but hopefully I'll get faster in the future. The next film comes out soon!
Ive just watch it all. You are very good filmmaker! And a story teller 👍🏼 maybe start with motocross or enduro training to become a better rider? Ive come from motocross and that helps much with adv rides for me. Keep it up 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Thank you for sharing a part of your life with us, this was one of the best videos I've seen for a while. Showing your raw experience and your true feeling towards your trip was brilliant. You see so many films with all the good bits, but yours was true to life. Very well narated and a well chosen choice of music. All in all brilliant.... it just fuels everyone for more..lol. I hope to get me trips filmed and on here to, I'll be watching yours again for tips.
Thank you for the kind words! I love that these films may inspire others, I've been considering releasing some videos to share some tips if people would find that useful
🥰Thank you so much for this video! Keep up the good work, and know that you help other overthinking riders like me to try really enjoy the adventure, even when it gets a bit challenging on the mind. That too is part of the adventure😅
😂😂 There is plan for making something. I have tons of footage, and weirdly, also tons of excuses to not make time to do something with it😂😂 Maybe "making memory video project" should be my new year's resolution✨
Well you certainly captured the essence and atmosphere of riding solo and in company. The dessert as you say : I'm in Europe! Stunning ! Well it was and thanks so much for sharing that. I don't suppose I'll get offroad too much when travelling ; it's hard work but obviously for some it's more adventurous. I too went over the Pyrenees this summer and vowed to go again. I'll take the odd trail but only till it becomes too arduous .. stop, soak it up; return to tarmac. "Back" roads as much as is possible. Travelling to Spain via those back roads in France is a joy. But time is needed for that. One thing strikes me as a seasoned traveller to France : that train journey is so banal and characterless it defies any form of interest , comfort or joy. Even in a car .... you're in your car...but at least on a ferry boat ( which is yet again just a ferry to further travel ) .. you can stretch your legs , have a coffee, look at the ocean.... and it's another hour out of life, but nevertheless it has to be better than standing in a bland , sealed, and uncomfortable tube... I avoid it --- even though I can get freebies with Tesco vouchers... This video managed to have me talking to the screen it was so engaging. And the thrill of not knowing the outcome of a days journeying reminds me ... of yes Steinbeck.... " The Best Laid Plans ... Of Mice and Men.' Well done Sir . Classic.
You know, I haven't read Of Mice and Men since childhood and your comment reminds me that I should revisit it, thank you. Any adventure can be adventurous as another - it just needs to be something that is out of your comfort zone. Nothing wrong with sticking to easy trails. And you are right about the train, it is a more stale experience. But there is something to be said for how bikers are confined together in the rear passage and in this way have 30 minutes of shared kinship. On a ferry everyone scuttles off to find food, coffee, whatever - but in that train many , hopes, promises and stories are shared. I prefer the train on the way out and the ferry on the way back.
Merci pour cette Aventure que je viens de regarder pour la deuxième fois. Je pars la semaine prochaine en moto dans les montagnes Espagnoles. Que du bonheur !!!
Wow. I found that absolutely spell binding. I have never ridden a motorbike; but at 64, I have one on order, and fully intend to follow in the footsteps of adventurers just like yourself. Keep on exploring.
You did 0 research about Spain before coming right? I was laughing at the screen when you were going to Teruel and the temperatures were dropping 😂😂😂 Spain is very big, and in winter is COLD in almost the whole country except some places. Great trip and video.
What an excellent film! 👏🏼 I thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you. No swearing, no silliness...... I found it quite though provoking. Really first class stuff and quite inspirational. I'm going to look up your previous film. ❤
I really enjoyed this and have subscribed. You describe exactly what its like to take this type of trip. Especially as a relative novice. It is frightening and exhilerating. You learn new things each day. This film and narrative is really well put together.
That was an outstanding video - unreal scenery - which reminds me so much of Baja California and Southern Africa - Spain looks like a very special place. Thank you.
What a fantastic watch not like the norm where everything looks and goes spot on. You can feel the joys and pain in your journey. Even though it was good to see the bad bits I’m glad you made it through in one piece. what an absolutely brilliant brilliant bit of filming and I’m definitely going to take the time to watch your other films and will know doubt watch this again and will look forward to any future films 👏👏👏
Thanks Mark, I'm glad you enjoyed. I think it's important to show the bad parts to paint a true picture of a journey like this. The next film has already been recorded and is being edited now. Coming soon!
Just done my CBT and looking to get my full A licence, I stumbles across this vid while looking fir vids on how to complete Mod 1 test !!!??!?!?!??? What an amazing and inspiring video. This is brilliant !!!!!! Honestly mate you are a Rembrandt. Please do another trip !!!!!!
First time I've been compared to Rembrant - I'll take it! The good news is there's already another film for you to watch called The Off-Road to Monaco, and also another trip has been taken and is now being edited. Coming soon!
Hi Nick, I really enjoyed watching your videos, then after listening to you on the TAMPodcast I watched your latest video and realised we were sat next to you at the ABR festival in Austin Vince’s tent watching Mondo Enduro, we were with our collie dog. Keep up the great work, can’t wait to see the next video 📷
I remember! I was very jealous of your Collie. Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it. The next film is well underway now and coming soon. It's going to be a cracker...
Great video, currently in Zaragoza making my way back to Santander for the ferry home. Rode my Softail Harley right across the Spanish Pyrenees. Stunning country. There was a few moments that got a bit hairy but got through unscathed. Inspirational video. Well done
Superbly done! I hadn't spotted how long it was before I started but was enthralled the whole way along, and was sad it was over so soon! Great storytelling and camera work! 🎬👏

It's the end of October in Scotland now and your film has rekindled fond memories from earlier in the year of Spanish sunshine, mountains and forests. Moreover, you've inspired in me a desire to go off-road like you - not on a truck on two wheels, but on the amazing RF.
Thank you for the kind comments. I'm delighted to hear I have inspired you to go off-road - you are going to love it. What is the RF?
Well done, a huge amount of work gone into that epic adventure
A lot of work but well worth it! More to come...
Wow. A real movie, watched from start to finish on the tv. Hands down best adventure moto video i have seen. Great storey telling, great editing and music choice. 5* production
Thank you Josh! That is high praise, I really appreciate it. The next film is well underway in the edit now and coming soon!
Simply inspirational well done
Thank you!
This is not a RUclips video , its a therapeutic experience!!
Haha! Love it. Thank you, really appreciate it.
The narration is Top class and i think you really put together the Emotion and Feeling that Everyone with a Passion for Bikes will know only too well.
Even those of us who only Aspire to take the leap in to the unknown of Adventure trips
Thank you, I really appreciate it. There's more to come soon! I hope you manage to get out there yourself, just one step at a time...
Thank you! And welcome to RUclips - looking forward to seeing you guys grow.
The best RUclips video I have found! Mate your awesome, what an adventure and the bloody gate on the mountain 😅 you have inspired me pal.
Legend !
Thank you! I love that you recognised a lot of your own experiences in this, tells me I'm doing something right. More to come!
That's a great trip and a beautiful video, thanks so much. Your honesty about the emotions we go through when we push out of the comfort zone is very supportive. Roll on the next adventure!
And thank you! Really pleased you enjoyed it, the next adventure has been taken and is being edited now. Coming soon...
Thank you, I really enjoyed that, great filming and thought provoking commentary. I've done similar but always on tarmac, never on motorways and never in winter! But could I........
Go watch my first film, The Off-road to Monaco, and you'll see what it's like for a first timer!
You absolutely can do it. Good luck!
Thank you, thourougly enjoyed watching you journey.
Thanks Laurence, appreciate the comment
Fantastic adventure, well told well filmed. I understand why you did it. Thank you
Thanks buddy. Nice to have that connection to someone who gets it.
Fantastic experience! Thanks for sharing your spectacular adventure in this great movie :).
Thank you! Really appreciate the comment
@@projectbiker Thank you! Looking forward to your next video!
thank you for this, your honesty is why i like them so much - travels with charley downloaded to audible :)
It's a great book! The opening chapter is pure gold. Enjoy
What a great film, brilliantly edited, and an honest insight into motorbike travels. Keep the videos coming 🙏🤟
I will! The next one is in the edit and coming soon...
Great video ,great narration ,thanks i enjoyde this one ,inspiring son ❤️☁️🌙☁️
Greetings from belgium
Amazing for your video of London to Spain Winter Off-Road | Honda CRF | Full Movie. I love your video and thanks for your sharing.🥰
Thank you! Next video is on the way and coming soon...
Fantastic Video. I hear a true adventurer talking here... keep them coming
Thanks buddy, really appreciate it
What an amazing bike video to watch, fantastic scenes with great narration
Thank you, really appreciate it. More to come!
Really glad I watched this , well done
Thank you! More to come soon...
Superb film! So pleased I watched this and Keep Going! 🎉
Thank you, really appreciate it
Ive just watch it all. You are very good filmmaker! And a story teller 👍🏼 maybe start with motocross or enduro training to become a better rider? Ive come from motocross and that helps much with adv rides for me.
Keep it up 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Training would have been a good idea! Thanks for watching, appreciate the comment
Just watched this what a great video mate, highs and lows and sense of adventure is inspiring
Thank you, delighted to see comments like these.
Just discovered this video. Great work and inspiring
Thank you! And welcome to the channel
@@projectbiker I think you should, I’m currently, right now.. watching your film about going to Monaco. 😃 and I’m hooked.
@@wonderingsprinter well I'll add that as motivation to get on it! Good luck in getting out on a trip, hope it goes well
🥰Thank you so much for this video! Keep up the good work, and know that you help other overthinking riders like me to try really enjoy the adventure, even when it gets a bit challenging on the mind. That too is part of the adventure😅
Absolutely! Overthinkers make the best videos...have you thought about making your own? Thanks for the comment, appreciate it
😂😂 There is plan for making something. I have tons of footage, and weirdly, also tons of excuses to not make time to do something with it😂😂 Maybe "making memory video project" should be my new year's resolution✨
Finally sat and watched your video. Epic!!! the comment you pinned from Stevesvids is spot on! its yours now!! Inspiring!!
Agree, I love that comment. It has inspired me for a piece of narration I might use for an upcoming film!
Awesome....keep twisting the throttle of freedom :)
Thanks Billy, will do!
Another beautiful story, video and adventure!
Thank you! Really appreciate it
Excellent stuff my friend. You've got balls!!!. Exactly the trip I plan to do in a few months so great to have an idea of what's ahead. Safe travels!!
Props to you for doing this in winter! I hope you plan to get the ferry down if you are starting from the UK because boy is that ride painful...
Thank you! Did you have a favourite part? Enjoy your trip to Spain 👍
@@projectbiker Next week, I will be to the west of ANDORRA, at around 2000m altitude.
I hope it won't be too cold...
@@jean-patktm9243 heated gloves!
Wow. I found that absolutely spell binding. I have never ridden a motorbike; but at 64, I have one on order, and fully intend to follow in the footsteps of adventurers just like yourself. Keep on exploring.
Oh hell yes, now this is what I like to hear! What bike did you get? I'm here to help in any way I can, ping me a message on Instagram if you use it.
You did 0 research about Spain before coming right?
I was laughing at the screen when you were going to Teruel and the temperatures were dropping 😂😂😂
Spain is very big, and in winter is COLD in almost the whole country except some places.
Great trip and video.
I did more than 0 research but less than enough! Glad you enjoyed
What an excellent film! 👏🏼 I thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you.
No swearing, no silliness......
I found it quite though provoking. Really first class stuff and quite inspirational. I'm going to look up your previous film. ❤
I'm delighted you found it thought provoking. Hope you enjoy the other film, the next one is in the edit now.
I love how you can put into words, what us bikers feel but don't know how to explain! Brilliant stuff 🏍
I'm delighted you feel this way. Sometimes I wonder if it all makes sense but comments like this are reassuring.
I really enjoyed this and have subscribed. You describe exactly what its like to take this type of trip. Especially as a relative novice. It is frightening and exhilerating. You learn new things each day. This film and narrative is really well put together.
I'm delighted you feel this way. My aim was to capture it as honestly as possible so your comment is very welcomed, thank you.
That was an outstanding video - unreal scenery - which reminds me so much of Baja California and Southern Africa - Spain looks like a very special place. Thank you.
Thanks buddy - the scenery was breathtaking, especially in the desert areas
Excellent, it was great to re visit your journey again in one hit. Hopefully we'll see a new adventure soon.
Thanks David. The next film is underway already 👍
Thanks for taking me on your journey. ❤ from a small town in Wisconsin USA 🇺🇸
Hello Wisconsin! Glad you enjoyed
Indeed what a time we live in. Thank you for sharing.
It's true, and easy to forget, that we have a world of possibilities around us.
Well done
I wish I took the ferry home! Sounds like a great trip, the hairy moments are the most memorable...
Superbly done! I hadn't spotted how long it was before I started but was enthralled the whole way along, and was sad it was over so soon! Great storytelling and camera work! 🎬👏
Thank you, really appreciate it. The next one is being edited now and coming soon...
it was an amazing movie to watch. very well done
Thank you! Appreciate it
Brilliant video, one of the best I have watched. Well done.
That is high praise! Thank you so much, really appreciate it
