It was a bit scary for a while when they were checking the inside of my head but once they told me it hadn't spread anywhere it was a great relief and im feeling much better now. Wow so sorry you have been through so much since getting back from your trip but so glad you went in and got it all taken care of. Yes surgery is always stressful even the smallest. I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and after surgery and treatment, I am now cancer free. I constantly remind my friends to check themselves regularly and get it checked. I'd say you're a pretty tough cookie yourself. I've been so lucky in that my brain tumour was benign and so were the ones on my thyroid. This small carcinoma is no comparison to breast cancer. So I think you're pretty strong too. Glad you're cancer free. Take care of yourself and have a great weekend 😀 😊

Ange, my dear, I am so happy for you that the operation went well and that the news is so positive. Thank God everything went well. You are right. In the meantime I can't wait to see your experiences in Europe. Today is my birthday and my husband surprised me by giving me 3 days in Palma de Mallorca at the end of the month. Always a worrying time. We all tend to be a bit slow in reacting to problems that come along. Brilliant though to hear that Ange is clear. These things come along as we progress through life and we have to be alert to the warning signs. Thankfully things are positive. We have had our own difficulties this year and only now after a nine month wait are we able to start getting out and about again. Problems like these make you appreciate the opportunities that come our way and making the most of those opportunities. Take care and make the most of life. Best wishes from Robert & Ivor.

Thank you guys for sharing your story! I, Robert, am also just coming through my own cancer surgery recovery. As survivors this is the most important thing we can do is spread the word and encourage people to get things check out and get your regular check ups. I'm in my mid 40s and I had colon cancer. I didn't know it, it was just time for me to get a routine colonoscopy and they found a tumor over an inch long. I'm thinking it was there for some time, but I wasn't having any pain or issues. I'm very fortunate and blessed that we did catch it before it could spread. I had surgery a few months ago to remove a section of my colon. Oncologist said I didn't need chemo or radiation 🙏. I'm so glad to hear you guys were also able to avoid chemo and radiation. We wish you a speedy recovery Ange, take the time you need to heal and we look forward to all your future adventures!!
Wow. So scary. It's incredible that it was in you growing and you weren't aware. My first tumour in my head was growing for most of my life.I was 19 when I had my first seisure and that's how they found it. I was lucky that that one had been benign otherwise I wouldn't be here now. I'm glad you didn't do radiotherapy as it's caused me to have a lot of problems in my life. I’m sorry you guys had to deal with the horrible scare of cancer, my mom is actually going today for her one year check from cancer, hope it goes well for her. I’m glad you’re okay Ange and your bird is okay!
We do understand your worries about that skin cancer, it’s like a nightmare when it hits you 😓 and you wonder what will happen next…Cancer has hit Hélène twice , in 2013 a breast cancer was diagnosed and in May they tried to get it out but unfortunately they had to take her left breast completely out and then they reconstructed it and couldn’t make it as big has the right one so they brought the right one smaller.She had 5 operations in all for this cancer . The good thing about this cancer is that she didn’t get no chimiothérapie or radiotherapy. The second cancer was a skin cancer on her right chest 7 years ago they took it off and it was ok after . Hope you have finished with all this nightmare now and continue to enjoy life like you both have been doing. We do understand your worries about that skin cancer, it’s like a nightmare when it hits you 😓 and you wonder what will happen next…Cancer has hit Hélène twice , in 2013 a breast cancer was diagnosed and in May they tried to get it out but unfortunately they had to take her left breast completely out and then they reconstructed it and couldn’t make it as big has the right one so they brought the right one smaller.She had 5 operations in all for this cancer . The good thing about this cancer is that she didn’t get no chimiothérapie or radiotherapy.
The second cancer was a skin cancer on her right chest 7 years ago they took it off and it was ok after .
Hope you have finished with all this nightmare now and continue to enjoy life like you both have been doing.
