- The song Anthem, from Kamelots album Ghost Opera. It is dedicated to Khans son Gabriel. As far as I know, the song is about Khan being a dad for the frst time and he wants to "Be the best he can" for his son :) Please comment and leave a rating :D Thanks.

I hope to God that this song is remembered forever. It is amongst the ranks of the best. Truly. If it is forgotten, then we are all forgotten.
I hope one day Gabriel will make a song for his father, our beloved Khan. As beautiful as his father did for him.
My band played with these in 2009 and I had the pleasure to meet Roy Khan, who's such a great guy... I wasn't a fan at the time, but man I wish I'd met them now rather than 3 years ago, because I completely love their music now.

He actually quickly said that all the songs of this album were really personal to him and the other members of the band, and especially this one for him. We he heard the music of the song, he directly though about his son, and wrote the lyrics about that :)

Some days I feel so lost and alone, and then I remember my dad who passed away recently, and I wonder if he thought this about me.. and I remember my own son, and how much this song truly means.. I won't be lost anymore, thanks to them. Thanks to this song for keeping me on track, and thanks to Khan and Kamelot for bringing this song to the world...

Theres more to Kamelot than the eyes can see, they really enjoy writing their music and when they play it live its even better. ANTHEM is a perfect example within the Power Metal realms impressively enough. They are critical and precise in thier "simple" messages.

Beautiful, my friend just introduced me to this band yesterday. So far every song I've liked has been more, upbeat perhaps? This is kind of a good reprieve from that. "And so another page is turned. Pray I understand what's happening. But if anything, I do know this. I'll be the best I can." LOVE THAT LINE!

Helena's a fictional character, one of the key characters from the Epica and The Black Halo albums. The two albums told a story. Helena was the love of Ariel (Roy's character), who drowned in the river about halfway during Epica because Ariel was gong on a journey, and had to leave her behind, She was pregnant with Ariel's child when she died, but she didn't know.

Roy Khan is a great singer, and I am really sad to see him leave the band. Hopefully he returns at a later date or they replace him with someone with a voice that is just as good. Roy wrote almost all of their songs with Thomas, so I wonder how any future albums we see from them will turn out.

A pesar de ser fan acérrima de Roy, sé que Kamelot no era él. Thomas estaba detrás de la mitad de las composiciones, y eso se nota. Pero joder, antes de Khan era un grupo más. Luego vino la consolidación de una de las mejores bandas de metal de la historia. Y ahora Silverthorn me ha dejado, pues qué sé yo, indiferente. Salvo unas cuatro o cinco canciones, el resto me parece instrumentos y voces que suenan rítimicante, no mirado al detalle como antes.
