Hana Takashima mainstream music is the oasis. a small lilly pad of darkness upon the great lake of beautiful music that is Underground x) You have no idea how much good music there is in the world.
Man I love this band. Even with Tommy Karevik as their vocalist. The guy is talented and I do love his voice. Roy Khan had something special though. This this is one of my favorite songs.
i think he plays into it more, hard to say how because im not a singer but i believe the emotion implied more with kahn. higher highs in notes help i think
@@mastergwaha Exactly right. I call it "the thing" because I don't know what it is. Roy has this...tremble...in his voice...that I have never heard by anyone else. It communicates the most powerful feeling.
I can see where you get this. But it's not about that I believe it's more about witchcraft and how we as witches not worship the moon per say but it is a big part of our practice and when he says musconducted life I think he's talking about how witchcraft to him is that way cause he's a very big Christian man but at the same time needs guidance from Gaia or earth to help him trough the troubles of what he thinks of it all. Is what I am getting I could be totally wrong and your theory could be closer but that's what's fun about music we will always have our thoughts on what the songs means but only the artist knows the true meaning. I listen cause I love the music but also love music because there is so much mystery behind it. No I am not Cody Ellis that is my boyfriend I signed into his profile to watched RUclips videos he had and never signed back out. I am ashley btw. Roy Kahn always had something special about his voice that video love so much I heard ghost opera on the TV while visiting my dad and kept putting it on repeat that song and his voice just sang to me. I miss so much he's no longer in the band Tommy is good but no where near the talent as Roy khan.
Seddik werT To be fair, he was supposed to be testing the waters on the last record. If you notice, he was singing in precisely the same style as Khan. Listen to him in his own band, Seventh Wonder, and *feel* the difference in his voice.
It's one of my favourite parts of the song as well. Fans of Epica will know that it's the same melody that played in Center of the Universe, when he sings "I have a story to tell, won't you listen tonight?"
Totally forgot about Kamelot for a good 4-5 years, just started binging through their shit again rediscovering old gems I had long forgotten. It's been fun!
this is an underappreciated song, even among Kamelot fans. this should be easily as popular as Ghost Opera. and it deserves a video. too late for that, unfortunately.
I remember that this is the first kamelot song i have heard; I was immediately impressed by the music and roy's powerful voice! this song made me want to listen more and more from this band and I soon became a very big fan of them.....but it's so sad that roy has left the band....I hope that the new vocalist won't dissapoint us...
Absolutely amazing, I've heard them on Pandora before but never gave them a chance just wanted specific bands. Now I'm REALLY happy I gave them a chance.
Agreed, I don't listen to music because it's "underground" or "mainstream" I listen to it because I like it. I don't care what people call it; I don't listen to things because I think it's cool to be different.

A lot of music becomes mainstream because it deals entirely in surface value and conveys easily relatable things like relationships, which makes it easier for the masses to understand and enjoy without much thought or effort. And sometimes it gets mainstream because it is legitimately good.
Song that got me started with kamelot was "This Pain" and I've been a follower up until Roy left. Doesn't mean I don't like the new stuff, just not the same to me is all.
the first song I heard from kamelot was "ghost opera", back when I was just getting into metal from evanescence. I wouldn't accept anything that didn't have a female vocalist, so naturally I rejected it. then I heard "sacrimony" off their new album and was absolutely dumbstruck. I gave ghost opera another chance and it was awesome. even though tommy was the one that got me started on kamelot, I still like roy better as a vocalist. however, as a band, I think kamelot is still on the rise. I can't wait to hear what they come out with next...
I'd like to make one correction in the lyrics... it's not "just like you cannot compete with my pride" it's "just like you cannot compete without pride" ;)
You're right. We should listen to what we feel like. It just seems like a bit of a shame that this sort of music doesn't have the same sort of fame as "singers" like Rihanna, Rebecca Black, or Justin Bieber, since this song alone blows most of their songs out of the water.
Awesome, definitely worth seeing them live if you get the chance. They have a new album out in may though I heard one of the songs because they did a world premier in London of it :P
Tommy is talentet, maybe more proper in singing... but roy was just magical and he was so true, every word he sang was totally honest and came from deep inside... hard to compete with him.
Yes, everyone has their own preference regardless what they listen. :P Mine is somewhere around pop and rock but as long as I like the song and the band, it doesn't matter what genre they belong to. ;D

@EmoRockBaby I just read that he quit today, I haven't read his blog so I don't know exactly why. Though I felt absolutely terrible when I found out. :(
I love that their lyrics have true, powerful meanings and their not just repeating the same words over and over again. Kamelot forever!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Same dude
I am a Korean who enjoys and likes heavy metal music. Of course, Kamelot is the best metal band in my life.🔥🔥🔥🔥
The songs from this band sounds like an oasis amongst today's pop music. My ears love this band
+Hana Takashima Mine, too!
Why do you compare them to pop? :v
+MultiKamil97 ...because he.s a bunghole
There are good bands out there. The radio and the average 'music fan' just has a fascination with audible manure for some reason.
Hana Takashima mainstream music is the oasis.

This is such a beautiful song, been listening for over 11 years and it hits hard still!

Roy is king my fav vocal ever...next with Kotipelto
I just stumbled onto this band one day and now I can't get enough of them...a like a different sound and this is definitely different!!!
"Mainstream" doesn't necessarily mean "sell-out." Sometimes good bands actually get recognized for being good, not just promotional BS.
Kamelot isn't as mainstream as other bands, But yeah i know you're point.
"Gaia shivers and I need your leading light"
That made me shiver. It's just so beautiful.
"The irony of the soul, is that when you think you have become sane, you have actually gone insane." Hence why the moon is the patron of lunatics.

Just found this band but totally digging their stuff.
yeah just when they had Roy
Firas Alshalabi yea the new guy is kinda stiff to me .. roy has an awesome voice and feel :3
Seddik werT To be fair, he was supposed to be testing the waters on the last record. If you notice, he was singing in precisely the same style as Khan. Listen to him in his own band, Seventh Wonder, and *feel* the difference in his voice.
i mean his voice isn't bad .. i just got used to roy's deeper voice so don't take me so seriously.
Debra Julian on Veritas, it sounded halfway between khan and SW. I think that's the vocal route he should take, I liked it.
03:47 - 04:03 this small section gets in my head for weeks every time I listen to this song. Such an amazing instrumental part.
It's one of my favourite parts of the song as well. Fans of Epica will know that it's the same melody that played in Center of the Universe, when he sings "I have a story to tell, won't you listen tonight?"

Symphonic Metal (Especially Kamelot's) is simply amazing, magnificent
Don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet, but theres a small reprisal at 3:40
the reprisal is of Center of the Universe (a song from their prior album)
Hot DAMN you're right! Don't know why I haven't heard that before!
That's the comment I was looking for
I’ve been looking for this song for actual years thank god
What a composition...
Fallen love with you(the band)and the vocal is one of a few i like very much.
YOU CUT THE SILENCE LIKE A KNIIFEEE!
I cant handle the epicness. Great song

2:04 ....Hard to wake up with your heart and soul deep-fried....
That sounds tasty :P
That's what I thought he said at first. Not my proudest moment.
Hah
Greg Nikiforakis oh f*** now i cant unhear that - ___- haha damnit
XD
God damnit. I discovered Kamelot a few days ago and now I have to listen to all their songs (from Black Halo mostly) everyday
This song always gives me goosebumps...
The reason I love Kamelot is because of the lyrics but the music is awsome too. Their lyrics just seem to have meaning to me!!
Love this song! And what a beautiful picture.
A lot of music becomes mainstream because it deals entirely in surface value and conveys easily relatable things like relationships, which makes it easier for the masses to understand and enjoy without much thought or effort. And sometimes it gets mainstream because it is legitimately good.
Also it's really cool how they switch from 4/4 to 3/4 in the kamelotty style. Even more power. Just literally epic.
The picture is so Kamelot-like. Awesome song, awesome band.
That Backround fits perfectly with the song. I want this screensaver!!!

umas das melhores banda desse segmento!!!
Yeah, music is an expression of emotion and is powerfull in all forms...from a single beat to an epic metal guitar rift.
New favorite song
This is my favorite metal song since 2008
0:35 that guitar drop is sick \m/

AWESOME GREAT METALL....YOU GUYS ARE MY FAVORED
I'd like to make one correction in the lyrics... it's not "just like you cannot compete with my pride" it's "just like you cannot compete without pride" ;)
I think music's not mainstream and underground. There's just music I've heard, and music I will hear one day when I find it.
I always get chills at this...
Fantastic number! If only I could get a CD containing this song, but for the life of me I can't find it.
mistrzowski kawałek

Thanks for uploading.
Hi, where are you from?
Best thing that came out of America
100% art with the past sound of beautiful true music .. hints of helloween and queensryche . I love it
Yes I get the queensrycge vibe too. This is ashley btw on my bf profile
Sounds a little like Queensryche... very cool!!
Love this song! Great job!
kamelot, when i start singing, the emotions allways start showing themselfs. thank you for being the key to my soul!!!!
Trying to get into this band. Are there any other good songs by them?
stvn8or Yup! Many.
Check out Centre of the universe and the Silverthorn album! I saw them live and met them on Saturday and they are truly epic and amazing!
Funny thing is, I listened to Center of the Universe yesterday and I'm now a fan of these guys
Awesome, definitely worth seeing them live if you get the chance. They have a new album out in may though I heard one of the songs because they did a world premier in London of it :P

GREAT SONG!
eargasm
That riff made my beard grow at least an extra 30 centimeters...
Tommy is talentet, maybe more proper in singing... but roy was just magical and he was so true, every word he sang was totally honest and came from deep inside... hard to compete with him.
Been about 8 years since i last saw this video.
kamelot is awsome
I like the music your listening on this page =D
very good music
George Grie is the Artist. he does some stunning surrealism.
0:35 - the riff reminds of Rammstein - Stripped
Yes, everyone has their own preference regardless what they listen. :P Mine is somewhere around pop and rock but as long as I like the song and the band, it doesn't matter what genre they belong to. ;D
Someone just sent me a link to this song and I think it's really good :3
This song still has some of tasty guitar work in it
Begining: meh...
End: O-O I LOVE THIS!

Moonlight falling over me moonlight crawling down on me
Well said. Unlike some of the hipsters on here, I'd continue to like Kamelot even if they did go mainstream.
めっちゃ最高(`・ω・´)キリッ
I love this song♥
is it weird that i think of this band as iron maiden and symphony x's love child?
chazm00 Not even a little bit. xD
chazm00 not a bad description at all :3
@EmoRockBaby I just read that he quit today, I haven't read his blog so I don't know exactly why. Though I felt absolutely terrible when I found out. :(
I may like some popular things...but I don't like them because they're popular. I like it because I like it. :)
cool background
@FrakintheboX To find it all you have to do is go to google images and search: ghost ship, full moon rising. That will get you the picture.
@IcolocoKo It probably wasn't, nagito11 just picked a random picture from their collection and used it for the video. [/irony]
aWeSoMe song!!!!!!
